This partially restored, sharp looking 1931 Ford Model A Sedan is for sale in our Houston Showroom. Enjoy getting looks at shows and being in parades with this beautiful Model A. To some at the time, it likely seemed impossible for Henry Ford to follow up the commercial success of the Model T. However, he would immediately hit another home run with the Model A. But, while the Model T was produced for the explicit purpose of making the motorcar accessible to everyone, the Model A would be Ford's attempt at combining mass production with exclusivity. The Model A would be an absolute hit with the public. The marriage of aesthetics and mass production has seemed to work as one million examples would be built by February of 1929. By July, just a few months later, production would top two million. Ultimately, by the time the Model A became superseded by the Model B and production ended in early 1932, nearly five million Model As would roll off the Ford assembly lines. This nice looking Ford is powered by a 201 CiD inline 4 cylinder engine backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. This all-steel original car has one very handy "modernization": its electrical system has been converted from the original 6-volt system to a modern 12-volt system, making it much easier to enjoy tooling around in. The exterior on this all-metal Ford Model A is a nice matte black with buckskin brown accents and soft top. The Model A rolls on a set of original steel wire wheels painted in a brown color (that matches its buckskin brown top and interior) and are wrapped by black wall bias ply tires. The seating surfaces are covered by a freshly-installed Buckskin Brown vinyl tan. The interior has been fully restored back to the original look. The car has its original engine & trans in the car that is came with in 1931. The owner also put a new carburetor & a new alternator. Everything on the car works! This car has no rust on it and is a true survivor car that is all metal with no body filler. Options on this beautiful Model A are vinyl interior, roll-away vinyl soft top, a custom LED light strip under the dash (for the courtesy lighting), and bias ply tires. Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering a 1931 Ford Model A two door sedan. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model A’s. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door sedan. There’s seating for 4 and plenty of windows for airflow. Even the front wind screen can be tilted open to let in fresh air. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. The consignor has owned the car since 1999, and states they have the receipt for the engine rebuild from 7/00. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The exterior is a Brown and Tan 2- tone paint, with cloth interior upholstery. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A. You can see this Model A in greater detail in our Atlanta showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Saint Louis is thrilled to offer for sale this very nice white 2002 Ford Thunderbird convertible. BACKGROUND: After a five-year hiatus, Ford re-introduced its retro-futuristic 11th generation (2002-2005) Ford Thunderbird according to the 1st generation formula, as a two-seat coupe/convertible layout reminiscent of the first-generation. This 11th generation Thunderbird was built on the same platform as the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type. It also shared an instrument panel, steering wheel, and other trim pieces with the Lincoln LS. The sole engine of the Thunderbird was a Jaguar-designed AJ-30 3.9 L DOHC V8, a short-stroke variant of the Jaguar AJ-26 4.0 L V8, making 252 horsepower and 267 lb·ft of torque. The engine was mated to Ford's 5R55N 5-speed automatic transmission. This particular 2002 Ford Thunderbird is just what you have been looking for. It only has 39,800 odometer miles and exterior body doesn't have any scratches, dents, or imperfections. The chromes wheels have not been damaged by curbside parking. One of the most attractive features about the 11th generation Thunderbird is the round rear window (blind spot issues aside). The removeable hardtop on this Thunderbird is in impeccable condition. The interior condition matches the appearance of low usage that the exterior has. The leather seats do not show any excessive wear, the dash looks great, all the gauges and instruments function as new, and there are no noticeable scratches, tears or odors. The convertible top is clean and closes tight. Mechanically, as you can see and hear in the video, this 2002 Ford Thunderbird has all the power and ambition it had as when it first rolled off the assembly line. It runs smooths, changes gears seamlessly, and has a great turn radius.
