Gateway Classic Cars is excited to welcome this stunning 1956 Ford Thunderbird to its showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! This is perhaps the quintessential ride of the 50s with a story to match! Ford had introduced the T-Bird in 1955 to counter Chevy’s Corvette and even marked it at a similar base price. Sure enough, Thunderbirds outsold Corvettes in the first year at 16,155 to Chevy’s mere 700. The famed car’s story is just as fascinating as the story of this particular vehicle in that this T-Bird has been in the hands of the same family for 60 years! Wearing a gorgeous coat of white paint applied 8 years ago, this Thunderbird experienced a thorough 17-year restoration with consideration going into all aspects of work. Great care was taken to maintain original components of the car including headlight bezels, the manual rag top and even the dash! Fuel lines, rubber goods and the gas tank were replaced to ensure a reliable ride! Powered by the rebuilt numbers matching 312 CID V8 engine and transmission, this Ford drives as smooth as the day it left the showroom and attracts looks wherever it roams! You have to see this car in person to truly appreciate the craftsmanship of Ford Motor Company and the tireless hard work of the restoration professionals that breathed new life in this family vehicle. Give us a call today to learn more about this American classic! Additional features include AM Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Removeable Hardtop, Spare Tire, Telescopic wheel and a stunning brown vinyl interior. 1956 Ford Thunderbird

1956 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 312
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 36092 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Saint Louis Showroom is this first generation Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette. Production of the Thunderbird began later on in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954 and sold exceptionally well in its first year; outselling theCorvette by more than 23-to-one for 1955 with 16,155 Thunderbirds sold against 700 Corvettes. With the Thunderbird considered a success, a few changes were made to the car for 1956. The most notable change was moving the spare tire to a continental-style rear bumper in order to make more storage room in the trunk and a new 12 volt electrical system. You'll be happy to hear that this low (actual) mileage classic Thunderbird has been held by the same family for nearly three decades and was stored for most of that time. The interior and body was repainted in 2016, but these are still the original panels, engine, and interior components. The smooth drive of one of Ford's most beautiful designs is a standard 312 cu in (5.1 L) V8 that was engineered to produce 245 horsepower (183 kW). With its classic look, colors, lines, white-wall tires, and low body, this Thunderbird is a great find and will a its next owner very proud to have and to hold onto. 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 71826 ( undocumented )

Now up for sale in our Houston showroom is a classy blue metallic 1957 Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Production of the Thunderbird began later in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a faux hood scoop and a 140-mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didn't possess. This Thunderbird has undergone a partial restoration, and is in very good driver-quality condition. The list of mechanicals that have been modified are: The 312 CID Ford engine was swapped out in 1974 with a 350 CID Chevrolet V8 engine to provide a little more get up and go for this classy chassis. It is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission that was also added in 1974. The car has 2 known owners and was restored back in 1998 by the latest owner to preserve this piece if history. The exterior is in good condition and would get some heads turning driving down the road. This car has just the one hard top but is in nice condition and will keep you out of that wet weather. The interior of the car is in good original condition with a few small additions such as the engine turned aluminum dash to improve the appearance. The new cassette player hidden in the glove box with the Pioneer speaker behind the seat will make the drive much nicer while listening to your favorite songs. Some additional features include power steering, power windows, white walls, Cassette, AM/FM radio, and power seats. All in all, this adds up to a clean light blue bird that really is a joy to drive. It is hard to not look good driving a Thunderbird, especially when it is a T-Bird that looks this good. Call us today about this sweet little bit of nostalgia! Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1957 Ford Thunderbird for sale. Ford had a car that combined the flair of a sports car and the comfort of a boulevard cruiser, the Thunderbird. However, a slight sales decline in 1956 sent Ford Designers back to their drawing boards. The labor resulted in the consummate two-seat Thunderbird. Buyers noticed the restyled grill, stretched rear sheet metal, fresh bumper designs and improved seating the 1957 version offered. Other less visible improvements included larger openings for improved cooling, revised spring rates, larger brakes, stiffer chassis crossmembers, a 12-volt electrical system and new 14-inch wheels. These evolutionary steps enabled a more stable and capable handling Thunderbird and its spare tire back in the trunk. Under the hood of this beauty is a 312 CID V8 and backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The exterior in the original Colonial White. The interior is a combination of black and white vinyl. Options include: Manual Convertible Soft Top, AM/FM Radio, Power Windows, Bias Ply Tires, Wire Wheels, Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Wide White Walls and Telescopic Wheel. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1957 Ford Thunderbird

1957 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 312 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 5763 ( undocumented )

Modern components with classic looks! This stunning 1957 Thunderbird, originally from California, has had plenty of work done to make this an excellent reliable cruiser. Back in 2004, the 312 cubic inch V8 was pulled and completely rebuilt using mostly stock components with the exception of ARP rod bolts added for superior strength. After it was rebuilt, the engine ran strong and smooth but was still lacking modern components to supply it with added reliability. So in 2013 when the car was brought to Colorado, the car had many upgrades added including; Holley Avenger electronic fuel injection system, MSD electronic ignition, modern power steering, power disc brakes, electric fans for optimum cooling, a 4L60E automatic transmission with overdrive, electric power windows, a retro AM/FM sound system, and many more subtle changes that makes this one of the coolest T-birds on the road today! The blue paint is in great shape and the Torque Thrust wheels really set the look off right. As you get behind the aftermarket steering wheel, you will be grateful for the smaller diameter steering wheel to let you easily enter and exit the car. Once you are sitting in the car, fire it up with the simple turn of a key and begin your drive! The car feels effortless to drive, but is not lacking in power by any means. It cruises at freeway speeds with no problem and the modern wheels reduce any body roll. If you are looking for a car that is reliable enough to go on long cruises, but do not want to settle for a more modern late model body style, this 1957 Thunderbird is an excellent option for you! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1957 Ford Thunderbird in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful "Blue Dream" 1957 Ford Thunderbird. With a nice Azure Blue paint laid over the body and removable hard top of this classic, one can’t help but be drawn back to a simpler time. Elvis was the most controversial musician, 12 Angry Men was in theaters with Old Yeller, and the cost of a gallon of gas was a whopping twenty-four cents. The 312 cubic inch V8 cradled snugly under hood was the top of the line engine offered, and did a fine job of making this sporty roadster scoot all over town. Backing up the Thunderbirds V8 is a healthy 2-speed automatic that shifts as smooth as when it was new. While the cool blue covering this ’57 T-bird isn’t the original color, it is very fitting on this classic Ford. The slick two-tone “Dresden Blue” interior matches very well, and adds to the very classic look on this beautiful ‘bird. This feisty Ford was treated to some serious restoration work around 2006, including the fresh paint, a brake overhaul, suspension work, a new gas tank, starter, motor mounts, wiring harnesses, the list goes on and on! What you are looking at is a new-new 1957 Ford Thunderbird! This sporty cruiser will paint a perfect smile on your face every time you fire up that Thunderbird V8. Options include: Power Seats, Wipers, Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, Manual Top and Removable Hard Top, and While Wall Tires. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this beautiful 1956 Ford Thunderbird. The first generation of the Thunderbird was Ford’s answer to Chevrolet’s Corvette. The Tbird story started in 1953 on paper and Ford showed the first prototype in early 1954. Even though it was a rapid development Ford did a fantastic job and today the early Thunderbirds are on top of the list of almost every car enthusiast in the world. This particular 1956 Ford Thunderbird is a very nice driver. Lady owned for the past 10 years and she took good care of her “Baby Bird” Olivia. For many people the cars from the 50’s are considered a piece of art. It is a pleasure to just walk around this turquoise Thunderbird and see the many details and the great craftmanship. After the walk around, you want to get in the drivers seat and take off in it. This Tbird is powered by its 292ci V8 engine and shifted by an automatic transmission. You will have a good time driving this one around town. A major plus is that the car comes with both tops, the port hole hardtop and a soft top. To put an additional soft top in an early Thunderbird would cost you between $4000 and $5000. Folks, this one has it already folded up behind the bench seat. The continental kit and the white wall tires are a perfect fit to the Bird. This is a great buy if you are not looking to spent a fortune on one. This is a great driver that is ready for new adventures. Let it ride. To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1956 Ford Thunderbird, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1955 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 292 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 72566 ( undocumented )

Thank you for your interest in this beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird presented by Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa. One of the most beautiful pieces of Americana, they were considered to be direct competition to the Chevrolet Corvette. Helping spawn a new generation of automobiles in the United States, and aimed to take on the European market, the Ford Thunderbird was powered by a 292 CID V8, which gave the already smaller, lighter car the power it needed to make for both an excellent road racer as well as the perfect car for older couples to sit back and enjoy a movie at the drive-in. Mated to the engine is a 2-speed automatic transmission, which allowed the car for fairly smooth shifting, but in the higher gear allowed the vehicle to cruise at highway speeds without drinking too much gas. The interior of this car is a beautiful red and white two tone seating, with red carpets throughout. The hard-top is painted in white to give the car a two-tone look. Take the top off to enjoy the beautiful weather in absolute style! The exterior is painted to match the interior, with a stunning bright red paint job with a new black top that really gives the car a high quality 1950's kind of feel. Driving a 1955 Ford Thunderbird is truly an experience one simply cannot explain, these cars are the truest form of Americana one can find. Options include AM Radio, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Wide White Walls, Wire Wheels, Power Steering, Power Brakes and Power seat. To see this car in better detail, including over 100+ high definition videos and a full length high definition video, please go to www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 298 V6
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 32999 ( undocumented )

We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this awesome 1953 Ford F100. This ‘53 Ford F100 is the one you have been waiting for. Too often you see cars and trucks that have been personalized past the point of no return. Fortunately, that is not the case with this truck. Looking at this beautiful fire engine red truck is like an artist looking at an open idea. You can leave it the way it is and have loads of fun, or modify it to your liking. The overall stock look is very appealing with the bright red paint and black running boards. The simplistic chrome “dog dish” hub caps and painted steel wheels takes you down memory lane. There is just enough chrome displayed to add to the look, but not take away from the nostalgic feel. You don’t run into these 1953 Ford F100’s in this type of shape often. The simple basic feel carries right over into the light brown vinyl bench seat interior. This truck makes you want to hop in, drive to a huge open field, and sip a tall glass of lemonade. With only a few knobs and switches on the inside, the bright chrome gauge cluster captures your eyes showing speedometer, oil pressure, volts, water temp, and fuel. Powering this classic F100 is a Ford 289 “Y” block mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Adding to the vintage package is the fact that it is “three on the tree.” It doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to a pure throwback classic. If it’s too tame for you, let your imagination run wild. The best thing about this 1953 Ford F100 is the fact you know exactly what you’re dealing with. Options include Spare Tire, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and a Wood Slat truck bed. Don’t miss your opportunity to take a trip down memory lane. There is still plenty of country roads out there to explore and car shows to pull up to.
