Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this amazing survivor, 1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner Retractable Hard Top Convertible. Rescued from a barn in the Indiana countryside, along with several other vehicles, this 1958 Skyliner is quite the find. One of fewer than 15,000 units produced for the 1958 model year. The top still functions, however, it is a bit temperamental and could use a little work. Mechanically, the car is sound, and runs and drives just fine. This rare little gem would be a great car to drive and enjoy or buckle down and restore. Either way, you’ll be the proud owner of an incredibly unique vehicle that will draw a crowd each time you lower that massive top into the cavernous truck. Equipped with the 352 Thunderbird Interceptor 4 bbl V8 and Cruise-o-matic automatic transmission, as well as, 2-tone paint, tweed interior, spotlight driver’s side rear view mirror, fender skirts, continental kit, and power steering. Assembled in Kansas City, Kansas January 29, 1958, the car has been in the current owner’s care since 2012 and was driven regularly. Professionally detailed, and ready to drive, this is a piece of automotive history you won’t want to miss. Philadelphia Gateway Classic Cars welcomes a new Fairlane to the fold. This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 equipped with a 1965 427 C.I. Factory Crate Motor and 4 speed manual transmission is a BAD car. The Fairlane name stood for a certain level of luxury and comfort. Not in this case though. This Fairlane 500 is inspired by it’s racing cousin the THUNDERBOLT. The car was redone in 2006. The body was completely stripped and returned to what is believed to be the factory color. No panels needed to be replaced. It is done in a deep Maroon. Of course, the Thunderbolt teardrop hood scoop has been added. When you open the hood on this car you are overwhelmed by engine. The Thunderbolt style grille fed induction system makes it clear that this car is built to run. Large tube thunderbolt reproduction headers, MSD electronic ignition, high output starter and an aluminum water pump are some of the performance modifications done to this Fairlane. The rear is a 9 inch Ford unit with 3:50 gears. Inside the car is the stock interior in excellent condition. There is a 60’s style column tachometer and a tri gauge setup under the dash to monitor the vitals. The race car feel means no frills on this car it is radio delete and a bench with floor shifter. The look, the feel, the sound it is all there but the best is yet to come. Turn the key and be prepared to be impressed. This car SCREAMS. This 1964 Fairlane grinds the asphalt. There is no doubt that the 427 CI Big Block Ford is a force to be reckoned with. Smooth acceleration and firm shifts send the message that there is allot more left under the hood to be released when the time is right. The Ford Fairlane was a favorite of Henry Ford. The name came from his estate outside Dearborn Michigan. It was known as Fair Lane. Just like his mansion it was the top of the Ford lineup. The Fairlane name stood for a certain level of luxury and comfort. Minor trim changes were introduced for 1967 as the Fairlane was mildly facelifted. This one is a four door. It is Turquoise Frost with matching interior. In 1967 the 289 CID small-block became the base V8. It is also equipped with an automatic transmission The 1967 Fairlanes also included a number of federal government-mandated safety features, including a new energy-absorbing steering column with a large padded steering wheel hub, soft interior trim, four-way hazard flashers, a dual-chamber braking system, and shoulder belt anchors. This car will take you back to the 60s in a flash. This is a clean, cool old car that will be a blast to drive around in. The quiet running engine and smooth shifting transmission are ready to provide years of service. To view this 1967 Ford Fairlane. in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Engine: 427 CID V8Transmission: 4- Speed ManualMileage: 250 ( since rebuilt )
Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautifully restored 1958 Ford Fairlane. The 1958 had fashionable quad headlights, a grille that matched the 1958 Thunderbird, and other styling changes as well. This beautiful machine is powered by a beastly 427 CID V8 from a ’65 Ford that has been rebuilt roughly 250 miles ago. This engine is paired to a smooth shifting 4-speed transmission that was rebuilt alongside the engine by HP Racing Services. The car also features a comp cam, MSD ignition, T&D rockers, Scat rotating assembly 488 stoker kit, Edlebrock performance heads and intake, Diamond pistons, and a Griffin radiator to keep this monster cool. The car also features a 390 rear-end with Trac-Lock and an SS-750 Super Street Carb from Quick Fuel Technologies. All the mechanical work was professionally done by Bob Lapole’s Auto Express. This car was stored away since 1975 and brought back to life roughly 4 years ago when the current owner purchased it. The exterior of this car is a beautiful green and white combination and shows great. The chrome work is in great condition as well with little to no pitting throughout. This ’58 Fairlane was resprayed about 2 years ago to near the original color combination. The paint work is one worth seeing in person as the photos don’t do it justice. If you’re looking for something to turn heads, then hop in this beast and let it loose down the road. The interior of the car is just as clean as the outside and makes this car show worthy. The interior being restored to original condition truly takes you back in time. If you’re a fan of a classic look and still have enough power sitting behind the wheel to toss you back in the seat, then this is the car for you. Engine: 302 CID V8Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 30923 ( undocumented )
For sale in our Nashville showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane. A mid-year model crossover, the '59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows you'll often find patrons arguing whether it's a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. Continuing the Fairlane's roll as Ford's full-sized sedan, they had various options in various trims. This particular Fairlane being a two-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular '59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 292 Y-block engine. It's since been replaced with the more modern 5.0 liter (302 cubic inch) small block Ford V8. With performance goodies like headers and dual exhaust, this small block Ford rumbles and pushes this 1959 Ford Fairlane for sale along with ease. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic transmission. Built for easy cruising, this 1959 Ford for sale is eager to take a trip down to local show or drive in movie! The exterior is a mild custom, with a two-tone black and silver paint scheme. With fins and chrome like the epitome of any late 50s cruiser, this Fairlane for sale has looks for days! With black painted "steelies" adorned with baby moons and beauty rings, wrapped in Goodyear radial tires, this car has a real 50s hot rod look. The interior is no different, with silver and gray vinyl interior. With benches both front and back, this car has plenty of room for you and a group of your friends and family. It's a real "drive-in special." A $237.37 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.
