For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1928 Ford Model A. The Model A was manufactured from 1927 until 1931, reaching the 1 million mark on February 4, 1929 and the 2 million mark by July of 1929. As astonishing as that is, the history of the Model A seems rather unimportant after one look at this particular 1928 Ford. Painted in an unmistakable yellow and maroon two tone, and built to cruise, this car leaves history behind to blaze a trail all its own. The Chevy V6 under the hood with 3 speed automatic transmission makes cruising this car a breeze. It also includes a matching trailer for everything from road trips, to local car shows, and everything in between. The interior is dressed in matching burgundy fabric, providing a comfortable and stylish ride, inside and out. It can be hard to characterize unique, custom cars such as this 1928 Ford Model A, but that individuality is also what makes them great to own. To view this 1928 Ford Model A in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit: www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Up for sale in our Atlanta showroom straight from “Little House on the Prairie” is a 1927 Ford Model T one-ton pickup truck and in the words of Henry Ford himself “You can have it any color you want, as long as its black” and it’s black. The work horse of the roaring twenties, this truck was equally famous for hauling hay and farm supplies as it was for hauling whiskey to the speakeasy. 1927 was the final year for the Model T, or Model TT as it was classified, then replaced with the Model AA for hauling more whiskey or hay, you chose. Now used for parades and shows, this Model T now leads a life leisure. This Model T for sale has had a full engine and transmission rebuild with only 150 miles since the re-build. All records and receipts are available for the work done. Lovingly restored and cared for by the current owner since 1998, this is the granddaddy of all pickup trucks. Thank you for your interest in this sharp 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster. This classic Ford is turn key and ready to fly down the street. This 1927 T-Bucket is very fun to drive and always turns heads. The Ford Model T was extremely popular and helped to put America on the road and the millions that were sold meant there was no shortage of small roadster bodies available for customization ever since the 1920’s. In the 1950’s the T-Bucket was named by Norm Grabowski and appeared in the show 77 Sunset Strip. An Icon was established that continues to live on amongst hot-rodders today. Titled as a 1927 Ford, this T-Bucket really stands out in the crowd with its black paint and hotrod blue flames. The brown vinyl interior and wood grain dash really add the finishing touch to this T-Bucket. This T-Bucket is a thrill to drive with a classic 350 Cubic Inch V8 that is fed by 2 Holley 4bbl carburetor and even has a new Holley Red fuel pump. Power is delivered to a 3-speed automatic transmission running back to a Jag rear end. This T-Bucket is finished very well including all disc brakes and Big Ol Mickey Thompson tires. Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this extremely cool 1926 Ford Model T. Between the extensive powertrain work and original sheet metal, this car is a clean example of a Model T. Under the hood of this American icon is a 2.9-liter inline four-cylinder engine that was good for roughly 20 horsepower when new. The engine is paired to a 2-speed planetary gear transmission and great for small town cruising. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt roughly 2,000 miles ago so there are plenty of miles left in the old beauty. The power that screams from this car is driven through the Ruxtell 2-speed rear axle and is stopped by the Rocky Mountain brakes. You may not compete against the Camaros, and Mustangs on the road but this very well may be one of the quicker Model T’s I’ve seen. Moving inward, the interior of this car is barren with no modern amenities or luxuries. When this car was produced, it was meant to be a cheap means of transportation for the masses with little to no focus on comfort or styling. The condition of the interior on this T is very good, and is no doubt aided in staying that way, because the car comes with with 100% accurate side curtains and tonneau cover. The exterior of this T is finished in black and green to keep a clean classic look. The paint is in very good condition and highlights the cars curves and style. Laying beneath the paint is the original sheet metal from when the car was new almost 100 years ago. Overall the condition of this T is very nice, and this would make an excellent weekend toy or parade car! For sale in our Tampa showroom is this stunning 1928 Ford Model A Sports Coupe, The blue and black exterior combination really shines and complements the cream wheels nicely. With the unique rumble seat which is an awesome feature. Historically the prices for the Model A ranged from US$385 for a roadster to US$1400 for the top-of-the-line Town Car. The engine was a water-cooled L-head inline four with a displacement of 201 cu in (3.3 l). This engine provided 40 hp (30 kW; 41 PS). Top speed was around 65 mph (105 km/h). The Model A had a 103.5 in (2,630 mm) wheelbase with a final drive ratio of 3.77:1. The transmission was a conventional unsynchronized three-speed sliding gear manual] with a single speed reverse. The Model A had four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. This Model A is a survivor. With the 3.3L sized engine and three speed manual transmission. It was purchased from the original family in 2018. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1926 Ford Model T listed for sale. This complete frame up rebuild is turn key and ready to be enjoyed. This sharp Ford has been owned by the same owner for 30 years and claimed to be a 2-owner truck. After 90 years this original numbers matching engine and transmission are still trucking along. All new Ford parts have been installed on this truck with the exception of the frame, running gear, motor, transmission, wheels, and cab. The truck has recently been repainted black by Larry Hill and has been reassembled with mechanical work done by Charles Rosato. The black paint is matched with black leather interior, a black soft vinyl material, and black wheels. The style in the appearance is topped off by the wood bed and wooden steering wheel. This truck is perfect for someone who wants to own a piece of Ford history or even a beginner into the car show hobby. The fun part of the early automobile is the ability to manually adjust the timing and throttle right from the steering wheel. This truck is a manual controlled by the farthest left petal on the driver side floor board. The Model T was a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Its transmission was a planetary gear type billed as "three speed". In today's terms it would be considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds was reverse. The Model T had a front-mounted 177-cubic-inch (2.9 L) inline four-cylinder engine, producing 20 hp (15 kW), for a top speed of 40–45 mph (64–72 km/h). According to Ford Motor Company, the Model T had fuel economy on the order of 13–21 mpg US (16–25 mpg imp; 18–11 L/100 km). The engine was capable of running on gasoline, kerosene, or ethanol, although the decreasing cost of gasoline and the later introduction of Prohibition made ethanol an impractical fuel for most users. The engines of the first 2,447 units were cooled with water pumps; the engines of unit 2,448 and onward, with a few exceptions prior to around unit 2,500, were cooled by thermosiphon action. This truck has been rebuilt from the frame up and is ready to be cruised through the streets of your home town! Don’t miss out on a Model T truck that’s redone as nice as this one. This 1926 Ford Model T is up for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
