Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to offer this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 Pace Car Coupe! First, some history of the Z10, as excerpted from Chapter 12 of "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book" by John R. Hooper. PACE CAR HARDTOP - THE Z10 COUPE "Since 1969, the controversy over a Pace Car hardtop has existed. For many years, hobbyists and other so-called experts had different opinions on the existence of these cars. Finally, after many years the truth has come out. Yes, the Z10 Camaro does exist. It is thanks to the many Camaro clubs and enthusiasts whose efforts have brought the facts about these cars to light. The basic Z10 package has Rally Sport and Super Sport equipment, code 50-50 paint, cowl induction hood, and 396 or 350 cubic inch V8 engine. The transmission combinations from the automatic to the four-speeds were the same as the Pace Car convertibles. Most of the Z10 cars had factory air conditioning. Any option that was available for the Z11 Pace Car convertible was also available on the Z10. Different interiors used on the hardtop version consisted of 711 black standard, 712 black custom, 713 black houndstooth, 727 ivory standard, and 729 ivory houndstooth. It is rumored that interior 720 orange houndstooth could also be ordered. Some of the options used were rosewood steering wheel, tilt steering column, fold down rear seat, a factory 3-speed transmission with console on the floor, vinyl roof cover, among others. The Z10 cars were a Southwestern Regional promotional car offered to a small number of dealerships in the Southwestern Branch Zone Office during Indy race time. We know now that they were available in Texas, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Arizona, and possibly other states. We may never know exactly how many were built, however we believe it to be between 200 and 300 built at Norwood. There were no records kept at Chevrolet Motor Division's offices. Since this was a one-time promotion, the customer did not have a chance to order the car but had to buy it off the dealer's lot. The Z10's appear to have been built between 04C (third week of April) to 05A (first of May) -- possibly longer...While these cars do not compare in rarity with COPO or ZL-1 cars, they still hold a place 1969 Camaro history." Now - about the one we have: like all Z10 Camaros, it is wearing a glistening coat of Dover white, with contrasting Hugger Orange stripes. This one shows a date code of 05A, designating a build date of the 1st week of May, 1969. Under the hood is a 350 CID V8 (300HP), one of the two available engine options for the Z10. The mighty mouse is mated to a smooth shifting Muncie 4 speed manual, which sends the twist to the 12 bolt rear end. Twist the ignition key, and it fires right up into a nice rich burble, sound aided by the addition of some Hooker Competition headers that funnel the exhaust into a well-executed dual exhaust with FloMaster mufflers. Ease it into first, and mash the gas, and you'll remember why you loved these cars so much! While you're cruising, flick on the A/C to keep cool - the system has been upgraded with a new R134 compressor, so it's easily serviceable by any shop. When it's time to get the speed down from the quickly-reached triple digit territory, the front discs are up to the task. Inside, you'll see that the rich black interior looks almost new, with its synthetic leather seating and carpet virtually devoid of any signes of use. The addition of an Autogage cluster by AutoMeter helps the driver keep tabs on critical operating conditions, and the Sunpro Supertach II tach aids in hitting those shift points. Why not own one of these rare pieces of history, before they're all gone?! Options on this rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10 include A/C, AM Radio, 711 Trim Code Black Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Rallye Wheels with beauty rings, and Seat Belts. For more information on this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z10, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". Engine: 6.0L Fuel Injected LS2 V8Transmission: Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed ManualMileage: 1,260 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this knockout restomod 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. A little over 3 years ago, this car was pulled from a barn and became the subject of a full frame off restoration and modification, with a major emphasis on the modification. The most obvious modifications are the custom wide body kit that allows this 2nd Gen Camaro to tuck 335 cross section tires out back, and 315s up front wrapped around custom E/T wheels. Of course, big sticky tires are only as good as the suspension holding everything else in place. That is why there is Detroit Speed suspension in the front and back to hold everything else in place. To handle bringing things to a quick halt, we have a full Willwood brake system, including 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brake calipers. You are going to need those brakes too, as this car’s real party trick lies under the carbon fiber hood. There you will find a fire spitting 6.0L LS motor that has been stroked with new rods and pistons, dart heads, and dyno tuned to make 427hp and 427 lb-ft. of torque. Those massive tires are starting to make some more sense. Backing up that fuel injected beast is a Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed manual, spinning 390 Truetrac gears in a Ford 9” rear end. Inside, you could call this car a mullet, as it is all business in the front, with the party coming from two 10” kicker subwoofers in a custom enclosure that has replaced the rear seat. Upfront is all business, with Cipher race bucket seats and 4 point harnesses, as well as a half cage painted to match. Other great little touches include a carbon fiber spoiler and trunk lid, kindigit door handles, A/C, power steering, and keyless ignition. Get yourself in this Camaro and go! Engine: 496 CID V8Transmission: 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 3,451 ( since rebuilt )
This 1972 Chevrolet Camaro SS is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 2nd generation Camaro was a huge success for GM running a total of 11 years. The fastback body design with its huge rear glass was a far cry from the 1ST Generation. This beautiful Silver with Black stripes split bumper actually began life as a SS396 which is super cool. The 396 has been replaced with a monster 496 that was built with one thing in mind, going fast in a straight line! The Brodix heads are made out of aluminum with many saying they are the best in the business. The huge aluminum radiator keeps everything at the perfect operating temperature with dual electric fans giving you that extra vote of confidence. The 1050 CFM Quick Fuel Dominator carb feeds this animal the high-octane gas it needs. If that’s not enough power for you hit the button on the fogger system and hold on for dear life. The TH350 Transmission was built to handle all that power with a trans brake allowing for true off the line hole shots. The Moser 10 bolt rear end has 3.89 Moser axles allowing for off the line acceleration while pulling hard through all 3 gears. With all that power propelling this beauty the brakes need to be just as good. The 4-wheel disc set up with its Wilwood master cylinder is exactly what this thing needed. Of course, going fast is fun but why not look good while doing it? The paint on the car is slick with a great shine while that fiberglass cowl hood ties in perfectly to the build. The RS front clip looks great but there is no way to tell if it came from the factory or not. Open the doors and you will see an interior that is very tasteful. The roll cage was done to keep you safe while still allowing for plenty of room. The front buckets are comfortable and look right at home with the racing harnesses keeping you right where you need to be. The ratchet style shifter is just where you want it allowing for quick shifts with a simple slap. Normally when cars like this are built you get either a car that looks great but lacks in the performance department or vice versa. Why not get this one and have a beautiful car that performs like it looks? Options on this 1972 Camaro include, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Billet Wheels with Radial Tires. Located in our Louisville Showroom, this 1972 Chevrolet Camaro SS can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For Sale in our Detroit Showroom is an awesome 1972 Chevy Camaro. This well equipped Camaro is wrapped in Cream Yellow with Light Tan interior with high back buckets that provide amazing comfort. At first glance, this nostalgic second gen Camaro has a menacing stance and the stout 350cid V8 does a great job of moving this Camaro’s weight around. Under the hood is a L65 350cid V8 which pumps out some pretty impressive torque numbers. The TH350 transmission shifts great and the rear end has a very friendly 2.73:1 final drive ratio that allows you to regularly cruise this Camaro on the highway. The originality of this Camaro is what really sets it apart from the crowd. The vehicle has been very well maintained throughout its lifetime and the under carriage is also in great shape. Most importantly, if you are looking for a well optioned Camaro that has not been butchered and still retains a great deal of its ingenuity, this is definitely one to consider. With options like Power Steering, Power Brakes and Air Conditioning, this Camaro is a long distance cruiser if you want it to be. Engine: 502 CID V8Transmission: Turbo 400Mileage: 598 ( since rebuilt )
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pro-Street is the ultimate expression of high-performance, with race-grade equipment and show car looks. This car has the stance, and the attitude to back it up. The stunning black paint is show quality and is complimented by a set of very well done white racing stripes. Chrome bumpers fore and aft add some contrast, with dark-tinted windows to complete the look. There aren't many cars that are more perfectly proportioned than the early Camaro, and the Pro-Street treatment on this one only enhances what is already a slam-dunk design. All of the car is steel with the exception of the hood and trunk lid car and hasn't been radically modified, although a few behind-the-scenes changes were definitely required to get those large meats under the rear fenders. If this were a full race piece, there'd be a bare-bones interior with a single bucket. But in Pro-Street, full interiors are part of the package. High-back Procar buckets are upholstered in black leather, there are beautiful carpets on the floor, and the stock door panels keep with the classic look. In place of the rear seat is a set of fully upholstered wheel tubs that look like they were done to factory specs when the car was new. The original dashboard has been refinished, too, and now carries a beautiful set of Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges in the original pods ahead of the driver. But the crossover to race spec doesn't mean you're roughing it, because there's plenty of sound-deadening material inside. The floor mounted ratchet shifter manages a built TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and a small diameter steering wheel fits the look. In back, the trunk is pretty much full of wheel tubs, a fuel cell, and a battery, and the workmanship of the install is very impressive. You'll get the picture when you open the hood and find a thundering 502 cubic inch big block sporting a Holley. Finished in more polished aluminum parts than you'll find at a Goodguys show, it's a street-legal piece that thinks it was built for the track. There's a pair of ceramic coated long tube headers, and an MSD ignition in addition to all the stout goodies inside. The reinforced chassis carries a coil-over front suspension and a 4-link that carries a narrowed Ford 9” rear end with 4.11 gears inside, so nobody can accuse this of being a race-only piece. Wilwood disc brakes live at all four corners and the full exhaust system sounds simply spectacular. Rolling stock consists of Billet Specialties aluminum wheels with 165/80R15 radials up front and 31x18.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time meats out back. The Gateway Classic Car’s Showroom of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette. This Vette has been in the Family for 12 years now. The current brother has had possession of the car for the last two years and has had some upgrades as well as maitake done to the car. The radiator and the hood have been replaced. The plugs, starter, battery and belts have been replaced. The brakes, calipers, rotors and tires have been replaced. And to cap it off it has a new driver side mirror. Prior to this brother having the car, the engine and transmission have been rebuilt. The car does have a factory A/C system installed, but it is currently nonoperational. With the side pipe exhaust, this Vette sounds loud, proud, and mean. You will be pleased to find that the headlights, brake lights, parking lights, reverse lights, curtesy lights, and turn signals are all operational. The wipers gauges and horn are all responsive and work like a charm.
