1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS

Engine: 302 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 53,920 ( undocumented )

The Trans-Am battles for which the Z/28 cars were built need no introduction, but the cars themselves remain somewhat unique in the world of collectable automobiles. Not quite race cars, but equipped with some serious performance hardware. The Z/28 option was a popular option in 1969 due perhaps to the fact of the race-ready hardware. Finding an intact Z/28 that hasn't been abused and thrashed is an exceptionally difficult task. This one is most certainly as nice as they come and has been authenticated by Larry Christensen as a true RS Z28 car. During the meticulous nut and bolt restoration, this Camaro was resprayed in a gorgeous Hugger Orange that fits this car very well. While this car is exceptional in every way, it is the little items that will escape your notice and make it truly remarkable. For example the original trim tag has never been removed from the body adding to the authenticity of this rare piece of American history. In short, this car is as close to the way the factory made it as possible. Of course, at this level, things like the chrome and stainless have been professionally refinished. Badges and emblems, including the Z/28 badges on the front fenders and the '302' badges on either side of the cowl induction hood, are either exact duplicates of the originals, or perfectly preserved NOS items. The Rally Sport Package being added brings along the concealed headlights, special grille, wheel opening moldings and bright exterior accents. Under the hood sits the DZ 302 cubic inch V8 that is the basis for this car being such a sought-after piece of classic car history. The engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications and remains in show condition today. The paint on the block and heads is crisp and clean, the satin black air cleaner wears the correct decals, and the spark plug wires are accurate reproductions. Even the unique exhaust manifolds look like they've just popped out of the molds and show no signs of heat cycling or corrosion. Looking underneath this beauty, the chassis tells the same story of attention to detail. Transferring the power to the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end is a Muncie M-22 close ratio 4-Speed manual transmission that not only shifts great but really makes you feel one with this machine while you are behind the wheel. If you are lucky enough to sit in the interior of this Camaro you will appreciate the fit and feel of the like new hounds tooth interior. Helping this car sounds like it should is the chambered exhaust system that has a very tame idle but when you roll on the accelerator pedal it lets others know you mean business. Wheels are, of course, the timeless 15-inch Chevy Rallyes with correct Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply tires. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up in fresh Yellow paint with black interior. The engine is a 454 block with 427 internals, that is backed up by a 4 speed manual transmission. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! To view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Copo Tribute in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit: www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For 1969, the Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 7,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 74,677 ( undocumented )

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 69 Camaro to many people is the ultimate pony car. Though the lines of the 69 Camaro are amazing the paint is what really defines the car. Most people will say the perfect color combo on these cars is Hugger Orange with white racing stripes. The effect it has is priceless and will leave enthusiasts thinking about it for many days ahead. This example is what most people think of when you say 69 Camaro right down to the hideaway headlights. The hugger orange paint gives the car that wow factor while the white stripes make it appear that much brighter. Upfront the hideaway headlights from the RS package, which were added on, work. When not in use the doors are closed cleaning up the front of the car giving it a very sleek look. Once the sun goes down and the lights come on the doors tuck away and reveal the original style headlights. Under the hood is where the fun really begins with the massive 454 big block taking up almost every square inch under the hood. A simple turn of the key and the monster of a V8 comes to life. The 4-speed transmission is nice and tight making this 69 Camaro an absolute blast to drive. The black interior is clean and fresh with the bucket seats giving the car that true pony car feel. Drop the clutch and the Posi-rear end is sure to leave 2 nasty black marks down the road if that’s your sort of thing. 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Engine: 5.7L V8 F OHV 16V
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 76,802 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 convertible for sale in our Indianapolis showroom. This stunning 1995 Camaro Z28 dazzles in Dupont Chrome Illusion paint in Blue Jade while rolling on 19” Ruff Racing rims by Chip Foose wrapped in BF Goodrich G Force tires. Powered by a stock LT-1 with a K&N fuel injection performance kit installed and breathing through a cat back Flowmaster exhaust system, this car runs beautifully and has a deep powerful rumble. This car is all about details – the four wheel disc brakes are powder coated so they won’t rust, and the pads are Kevlar so they don’t produce dust. The rear spoiler is subtly different than the standard American configuration, being sourced from Canada for a slightly more aggressive look. Eibach lowering springs in the back set the body just right over the tires. This Camaro has been meticulously maintained using only parts from a Chevrolet dealership, right down to new door and window rubber installed during the repainting process. The Alpine head unit on the audio system feeds a 4 channel Audison amplifier powering Hertz speakers including dual 10” subwoofers. A Viper alarm system detects anyone in proximity and pages the key fob, important for a convertible parked with the top down. With two owners and a clean AutoCheck report, the odometer indicates 76,802 actual miles. The current owner has had the car for 15 years.
