An all original survivor that still looks good for being 44 years old. The Hurst was sold for the first time in Oregon. Today, we are proud to feature this survivor Oldsmobile in our South Florida showroom. Oldsmobile and Hurst Performance built some great cars together. It is a pleasure to drive this example of their creations. The 350ci V8 Rocket comes with 180hp. The engine muscle is transferred to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Under the hood of this bad boy sits a 68F Block 455, bored .60 over to 468 cid, paired with a Turbo Hydromatic 350 automatic transmission, with 3,000 stall converter and Hurst dual gate shifter and 12-bolt 3.23 posi rear end with flanged axles and W27 aluminum cover. The heads are “C” code 67-69 Toro’s, H10’s, 442’s, forged modular crank. Cam shaft is .512/.523 lift 268/274 duration. Pistons are 10.5 to 1 Federal Mogul. Bolted to the block is an Edelbrock Torker intake with Holley 850 CFM double pumper, Mondello high flow water pump, Toronado oil pan, Mallery comp 9000 distributor (10 degree base, 3 degree full), Dug Thorley headers with 40’s Flowmasters, and Mondello adjustable rocker arm valve train. The orange paint is augmented with black racing stripes and shines brilliantly in the sun. Inside, you’ll find the original AM radio, power windows, power brakes and steering, brown vinyl interior. We are excited to offer for sale in our Saint Louis Showroom this 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds. BACKGROUND: The 83’ Hurst/Olds was the 15th anniversary of the first Hurst/Olds introduced by Oldsmobile in 1968. The 1983 Hurst/Olds featured a color scheme of black cherry, silver rocker panels with red and silver pinstriping, a new Hurst/Olds emblem, and the introduction of the Hurst Lightning Rod floor shifter in the Oldsmobile lineup. The Hurst Lightning Rod shifter allows you to get the most out of the 307 V8 when the mood hits you. Plus, on days when you want to take it easy, just simply let the four-speed overdrive automatic shift itself. Power comes from an Oldsmobile modified version of their 307 CID V8 engine, the Hurst Lightning Rod shifter transfers the power to the 10-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears. The formal GM G-body shape works remarkably well with the aggressive Hurst upgrades (power bulge hood, rear spoiler, etc.) and removing all the chrome does wonders for the transformation from plush luxury cruiser to street brawler. Inside, the Hurst/Olds got bucket seats and a proper console, something few other Oldsmobile’s of the era can claim. The red cloth strikes a nice balance between premium and aggressive. Originally 2,500 of these Hurst/Olds were to be produced, that number was increased to 3,001 due to high demand from the public. The Hurst/Olds option was brought back in 1984 as well, likely because people just could not get enough of them. In 1984, 3,500 were built, and the color scheme was reversed (silver body and black rocker panels). The odometer on this 1983 Oldsmobile reads 60,697, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1983 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, T-Tops, Cloth Interior, Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Power Windows, Power Driver’s Seat, Power Locks, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this outstanding 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Custom. This frame off restoration has only 8,120 miles on it since the complete rebuild and is ready to fill your garage with trophies. This 1970 two door post Cutlass S was purchased from the original owner in Arizona and treated to a complete frame off restoration in Illinois. The frame was powder coted, a complete suspension rebuild was accomplished using poly bushings in all areas where they were needed. Two-inch drop spindles were added to achieve the desired stance and disc brakes were bolted in place for the proper stopping power. Body work and modifications included total stripping of the paint, shaving the door handles, adding a ram air hood and rear deck lid spoiler, replacing the stock rear bumper, custom painting and air brushing of the body side trim and ghost painting over 1,000 tasteful star/rocket symbols slightly seen on the hood and body of the car. Body work was performed by John Dornik Auto Body of Oglesby, Illinois and the custom paint was applied by The Custom Shop in Flanagan, Illinois. The Color of choice was Glasruit and PPG Viper Blue and GM White Pearl with a blue tint. The 455 motor was rebuilt with forged pistons, Edelbrock carburetor, intake, aluminum cylinder heads and camshaft kit. Next a Becool radiator was installed along with billet MSD distributor with a MSD box. Hooker supplied the exhaust in which was all thermal coated. The Turbo 400 transmission was replaced with a Hurst shifted turbo 200 4R overdrive unit which allows for lower RPM highway driving. The 2.56 OEM rear gear was replaced with a 3.42 POSI unit to give the Olds more low-end power. J and B Microfinish fabricated a polished, ball-milled battery cover and hammered and rolled an A/C compressor cover shroud out of aluminum sheet stock. The custom interior was installed in Oklahoma by Coachwork and includes bucket seats, center console, unique door panels and package tray. J and B Microfinish fabricated a one-off billet, ball-milled dash inserts and console top, with a brushed finish. Billet door handles and window cranks finish out the interior. A CD/DVD/MP3 played was hidden In the glove box and a Sony X plod amp is in the custom upholstered trunk. We have a stunning 1973 Hurst Olds here for sale. The Oldsmobile Cutlass (including the Hurst/Olds and 442) changed body styles to the "Colonnade" body style, which was used until 1977. The Hurst Olds was based on the semi-fastback Cutlass S coupe and featured an interior with swiveling Strato bucket seats separated by a console with Hurst Dual-Gate shifter for the Turbo Hydra-matic transmission. The sole engine offering was a 455 cubic-inch Rocket V8, with four-barrel carburetor and dual exhausts, with the 250 horsepower (190 kW) L75 U code engine. The '73 model was the first Hurst Olds to be offered in two color schemes-black/gold or white/gold. A grand total of 1,097 Hurst/Olds were produced for 1973 with about 60% being white/gold and about 40% being black/gold under option code W-45, unless ordered without air conditioning, which was option code W-46. Hurst-only options included a console mounted digital tachometer, air shocks, and alarm system. This one is number 890 in the Olds registry. This Hurst Olds was refinished in Cameo White base coat/clear coat with full Hurst Olds stripe kit applied, including hood and deck stripes, and has a white half vinyl top. It’s equipped with opera style quarter windows, louvered hood, and dual sport mirrors with left-hand remote. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. Listed for sale in our Tampa showroom is this sharp 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass or Hurst/Olds. This original survivor with only 71,500 miles is in great shape and drives very smoothly. The car has tons of tread left on the tires, superb interior, and even the gold pin striping is in like-new condition. A lot of work has been done to this car to keep it properly maintained over the years. Now called simply the Hurst/Olds, appeared in 1979, based on the Cutlass Calais coupe. It still has the original L34, Oldsmobile's 5.7 L (350 in³) V8 engine. This car starts and drives great. The Hurst Dual Gate shifter that was built standard really sets this Olds apart from other Cutlass models on the market. The 1979 was the first H/O to be built entirely by Oldsmobile Division, it was also the first H/O that did not offer a 455 engine. It was, however, the only GM G-body to offer a 350 V8. It was also the first W-30 to come with the Olds 350 and not the Olds 455. The rarity of this car will surly make it a great add to any collection. White and black were the color choices available for the H/O in ‘79. This car has the White and Gold paint scheme with the Tan interior. Gold paint covers the hood, most of the top, and the very rear of the trunk. The aluminum wheels were also painted gold, along with the grille. This H/O was built by Oldsmobile at the Lansing plant. This car has almost perfect interior even down to the carpeted floor. The white paint still shines like it was freshly painted and gold accents really set off the paint on this unique car. The 1989 Troféo, which was no longer badged externally as a Toronado, could be ordered with the Visual Information Center: a dash mounted touch-screen CRT that controlled the vehicle's thermostat and radio and also supplied advanced instrumentation such as a trip computer. The VIC could also serve as the interface to an in-car hands-free cell phone. Troféo also received standard anti-lock brakes and a new steering wheel that featured buttons for radio and climate controls. Toronados now had standard bucket seats with console, although the split-bench seat was still offered as an option. 1990 saw Oldsmobile literally and figuratively going to great lengths to revive Toronado and Troféo sales. The hood was the only carry over sheet metal as Olds designers completely redesigned the body, particularly in the rear, increasing the overall length by about 12 in (305 mm). For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S convertible. This gorgeous Cutlass has been with the same owner since '81 and has been very well cared for and loved over the last 37 years. Painted in a beauituful dark blue with a white soft top and black vinyl interior. The rebuilt 350 makes great power, approximately 420 horsepower, and has covered around 4-5 thousand miles since the rebuild. The suspension has been gone through to make this a very nice car to drive. Driving this car, you have all of the cofidence in the world. Miles are showing 16,625 but has rolled over once. You wouldn't know it by driving though. Still feels like new! Equipment includes Power brakes, Power steering and a Power top. During restoration work, the seller was most concerned about safety and driveability. So the engine was beefed up a bit and is definetly making more power than original. The paint was sprayed in the lte 90's but the car has been stored indoors and still retains a great shine.The Cutlass was a mid-size car produced by Oldsmobile from 1966 to 1997.
