Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this beautifully restored 1956 Ford Thunderbird. The 1956 Ford Thunderbird is one of those designs that never goes out of style, and remains an instantly-identifiable icon of the 50s. Beautifully styled, comfortable, and with enough performance to keep almost any gearhead happy, they are perhaps the best combination of styling and performance from the 1950s. It can easily be said that the 1st generation of Thunderbird was their finest. Between 1955 and 1957 the Thunderbird was a small 2 seat roadster which was comparable to the Chevrolet Corvette. These cars could be had with a 292 CI V8, or an optional 312 CID V8. This T-bird has the larger 312 as well as a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, along with new wiring, stainless exhaust, and an electric radiator fan. The vivid red paint is stunning along with the red and white interior. This Thunderbird has power brakes, power steering, and a Town and Country AM radio. Stylings include round portholes in the removable hardtop, wire wheels with spinners, Firestone whitewalls, Continental kit, and fender skirts. This 1956 Ford Thunderbird for sale is located in our Dallas-Fort Worth Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our Dallas Showroom is a beautiful 1956 Ford Fairlane 4 door. In 1955 the Ford Fairlane replaced the Crestline as Ford’s premier full sized automobile. Six different body styles were offered with this new model including the Crown Victoria Skyliner with a tinted transparent plastic roof, the standard Crown Victoria coupe with lots of stainless steel trim, a convertible Sunliner, the Victoria hardtop coupe, and traditional sedans. All the Fairlanes featured the trademark stainless steel “Fairlane stripe” on the side. Few changes were made for 1956, 1956 ushered in the four door Victoria hardtop, and although this isn’t the hardtop, this one of the nicest four doors you will probably ever see. The lacquer paint still smells fresh inside and out on this beautiful restoration. You will most certainly get the looks at car shows when you show up in this 1956 Ford Fairlane 4 door. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Ford Panel Truck for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. These trucks are known by those who grew up with them as the backbone of the post-war American economy and now a lot of them are living on as hot rods. Our Panel Truck has been with the same owner for the last 30 years and has a restoration story of its own behind it. It was found by the owner in the Phoenix, Arizona area and was married to a 1975 Dodge Aspen; the 318 CID V8 from the Dodge was resealed along with the 3-speed automatic transmission. The torsion bar suspension from the Dodge fits perfectly under the chassis on 1953-56 Panel Trucks so this otherwise bloated truck rides much more like a car now too! This Panel looks mean in its jet-black paintjob and the business look continues inside with black and gray vinyl seats and a black plastic center console with cupholders. This truck comes with all-important Vintage Air! The gauges are surrounded by tasteful chrome and really look the part in this retro-modern build while the steering wheel from a Ford commercial vehicle adds a thoughtful touch. The windows on this truck have been tinted and it also has all-new weather-stripping. Other options on this 1956 Ford Panel Truck for sale include Power Steering, Power Brakes, a Tilt Wheel, Power Windows, Power Seats, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires and Air Conditioning. We are excited to offer for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom this first generation Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette. Production of the Thunderbird began later on in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954 and sold exceptionally well in its first year; outselling theCorvette by more than 23-to-one for 1955 with 16,155 Thunderbirds sold against 700 Corvettes. With the Thunderbird considered a success, a few changes were made to the car for 1956. The most notable change was moving the spare tire to a continental-style rear bumper in order to make more storage room in the trunk and a new 12 volt electrical system. You'll be happy to hear that this low (actual) mileage classic Thunderbird has been held by the same family for nearly three decades and was stored for most of that time. The interior and body was repainted in 2016, but these are still the original panels, engine, and interior components. The smooth drive of one of Ford's most beautiful designs is a standard 312 cu in (5.1 L) V8 that was engineered to produce 245 horsepower (183 kW). With its classic look, colors, lines, white-wall tires, and low body, this Thunderbird is a great find and will a its next owner very proud to have and to hold onto. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is an awesome “Big Window” 1956 Ford F100. This big window Ford is finished in a beautiful shade of Ruby Red paint that features a bit of metallic flake and creates gorgeous shimmer in the sunlight. Powering this classic F100 is a 292 CID Y Block V8 engine, that is very similar to what would have been in the truck when it was bought new in 1956. Upgrades to the 292 V8 include headers, a Holley carburetor, and a chrome air cleaner. A 3-Speed manual transmission transfers the power to the rear end via column shift, yup a true “3 on the tree” just like it was meant to be. The lowered stance is achieved by new leaf springs that have been lowered 3” and the new aluminum/alloy wheels, and radial tires. A new solid Oak floor in the bed provides a nice contrast to the Ruby Red paint and an overall awesome look to the truck. New Chrome bumpers shine proudly in the front and rear, while the new dual exhaust provides a nice sound to the 292 Y Block. The interior has been kept basic, with new vinyl upholstery on the bench seat and new carpet on the floor. By keeping it basic, the original feel and appearance has been kept intact to appreciate the simplicity. Adding modern amenities can easily be done if so desired. The odometer reads 18,605, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1956 Ford F100 included: Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. These Big Window Fords are becoming more and more popular, creating a demand, which in turn helps the value rise. This is a great example of one that has been kept fairly stock, the new owner can leave it as is or add one piece at a time to make it their own. To view this 1956 Ford F100 in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom. This 1960 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1960 Thunderbird was the last year for what is now known as the Square birds. A rather distinctly different car than original baby birds as the second-generation cars are much bigger and can seat 4 adults comfortably. This beautiful red example has gone through a pain staking restoration with the finished Bird being one the best I have seen. Lugged out of a junk yard 15 years ago this was a solid bird to begin with. The red paint was laid down nice and smooth with the result looking like glass. The trim and chrome on the car are exceptionally clean and remind you why these birds are classic late 50’s. Those classic wire knock offs are the perfect fit on this 60 Bird. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine bay that is as clean as they come. The period corrects 352 with its true to form yellow valve covers really putting their exclamation point under the hood. The Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed is a smooth shifting transmission that handles all the power of the 352 with ease. Inside this plush 4-seater a fresh interior has been done in red and white vinyl making for a great contrast. The middle console that flows into the back separating the buckets is one of the coolest features to come in a factory car. If you have been wanting to get yourself into a square bird that is flashy and luxurious this one must be on your list. Options on this 1960 Bird include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior and Knock Off Wheels wrapped in Bias PLY White Wall Tires. To view this car in full detail with HD pictures and video on this 1960 Ford Thunderbird call our Louisville showroom at (812)-294-1555, or email us at Louisville@Gatewayclassiccars.com
