Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this meticulously restored 1955 MG TF1500 roadster for sale in our Arizona showroom. This bright red beauty defines what vintage British sports cars are all about...timeless style and charm with more emphasis put on durability, reliability, and appearance versus high horsepower and race car chassis. For the time, the suspension and brakes were the industry standard coil over IFS and rear parellel leaf springs with a live rear axle. The real wire wheels add the right amount of flair to the overall package. The four cylinder engine actually displaces 1466 cc's and produces 63 bhp, propelling this two seater from 0-60 in about 16 seconds when going through the gears on the manual four speed transmission. This car is one of only 3400 produced in about 18 months. This little Brit proudly wears a tan top with a matching color tonneau cover, top boot, interior, and spare tire cover. This was the last year for the TF production, making this particular car a fine example of the end of an era. Don't miss this stunning 1955 MG TF1500 roadster for sale right now in our Scottsdale showroom.

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1953 MG TD. Produced from 1950 until its final year of 1953, the MG TD featured a suite of upgrades that set it apart not only from its predecessor, but from many other sports cars of the day as well. The TD combined the drivetrain of it’s predecessor, the TC, a modified hypoid-geared rear axle, the MG Y-type chassis, a familiar T-type style body and independent suspension on front axle using coil springs from the MG Y-type saloon. All of these combined to create a significantly more comfortable driving experience and inherently broadened the appeal of the plucky Brit. Those handling upgrades were accompanied by MG’s well-known 1250cc, inline 4 cylinder engine, which produced around 55 horsepower. This particular TD comes painted in a stately two tone configuration with a yellow body and black fenders. The interior features classic brown seats with black interior paneling, and to literally top it off, a new black convertible top is included as well. To view this 1953 MG TD in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1961 MG Midget MkI. 1961 marked the beginning of this iconic British sports car. Based off of the Austin Healey Sprite, the Midget was very similar in styling and functionality. The chrome strip down the side of the car is the basic styling cue that set this apart from the Sprite. The car never came with external door handles and if you wanted to have a top then you had to be ready to put it together every time you but it back on. This Midget has a bored out from a 1275cc engine to what now is a whopping 1380cc’s. This car was set up to be a SVRA road racer with the custom roll bar and five point racing seat belts. The upgrades to the engine had to be backed up by 5 speed manual transmission from Ford. This little MG is more fun to drive then you could ever imagine! A 1275cc engine with a Pertronix ignition and Datsun 210 5-speed manual transmission this MG Midget is ready to take on any winding mountain road, or just cruising down the highway! All this little roadster needs, is a new home. With a rear end gear ratio of 4.22:1 and an overdrive gear it is quick off the line and still can reach higher speeds with ease. The disc brake conversion on this car is able to round off the build, making it an excellent driving machine! The first version, announced at the end of June, 1961, was essentially a slightly more expensive badge-engineered version of the MkII Austin-Healey Sprite. The original 'frogeye' Sprite had been introduced specifically to fill the gap in the market left by the end of production of the MG T-type Midget as its replacement, the MGA had been a significantly larger and more expensive car with greater performance. Mechanically the car was identical to its Austin-Healey counterpart, retaining the rear suspension using quarter-elliptic leaf springs and trailing arms from the 'frogeye'. Brakes were 7-inch drums all round. A hard top, heater, radio and luggage rack were available as factory-fitted extras. In October, 1962, the engine was increased to 1098 cc, raising the output to 56 HP 62 lb⋅ft, and disc brakes replaced the drums at the front. Wire spoked wheels became available. The doors had no external handles or locks and the windows were sliding Perspex side-screens. For sale in our Atlanta showroom is this 1949 MG TC. This car will give you the full experience of fine British motoring. The red interior and red exterior shows how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is un-restored and in original condition with matching numbers and only 31921 miles. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Twin SU- semi-down draught carburetors, 1250cc 4 cylinders and 54.4hp at 5200rmp puts you right in the middle of what it means to drive. It has always been garage kept in its 67 years of life with just a few minor paint imperfections which are expected because of it age. She is a real head turner. The TC Midget was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite similar to the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200 rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include: Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top.
