This good looking 1968 Ford Mustang convertible is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. The 1967 model year Mustang was the first redesign of the original model. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger version even as the original was achieving sales success, and while "Iacocca later complained about the Mustang's growth, he did oversee the redesign for 1967. The major mechanical feature was to allow the installation of a big-block V8 engine. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased. Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoop (1967 model) and chrome (1968 model) side ornamentation, square rear-view mirrors, and usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes. This convertible comes with the venerable 289 CID V8 engine with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The car may have been repainted at some time, but the original color is Lime Gold (Code I) and the current owner has had the car for over 15 years. The exterior has been finished with a nice set of factory rally wheels. It gives this a convertible just a little bit sportier look. The interior is Ivy Gold vinyl (Code 2G) and looks to be in very good shape. The black convertible top is in good condition and with a little care will last for years to come. If you’re looking for a nice week end cruiser for some top down fun in the fun, call before this little gem is scooped by another Mustang fanatic. Options for this 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible include; Power convertible Top, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior and Raised White Letter Radial tires. Engine: 351 W V8 WindsorTransmission: 3-Speed AutomaticMileage: 280 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Nashville showroom is a beautiful 1968 Mustang Shelby GT350 Tribute. Now this is not your average tribute in fact this one might make Carroll a little envious! This little pony has all the tricks from the drop dead deep blue paint job to the kidney kicking 351 Windsor power plant that pumps out a dynode 450 horses! But let’s start at the beginning. This 1968 GT 350 for sale started life as a fastback and a vision. This pretty pony spent quite some time strapped to the rotisserie as she was stripped and massaged as no new body panel were used. She is this wearing all the original metal she was began with of course some of this original metal was covered by Shelby fiberglass panels and then all of it was layered with this deep blue paint. Even the under coating was well thought out as catalyzed bed liner was used for protection, looks and added insulation. For the interior Mustangs to fear were called on to provide their High quality components. Now to the good stuff! Under the hood is a high revving Windsor 351 that is .030 over and filled with all the good stuff like forged piston, roller rockers and hefty bump stick. Bolted to the top of this combo are Edlebrock aluminum heads and RPM air gap intake manifold and perched on top of all these goodies is just what you would figure a Holley four barrel carb. Lighting the fires is a MSD ignition system and helping with exhaust gases are ceramic coated headers. Between all this power and the 9 inch Ford holding up the rear of this 68 Mustang for sale is a totally rebuilt C4 3 speed automatic transmission that provides firm shift and controls the under hood beast with precision. So. What you have here is all the fun and style allowed by law and a little extra! Options for this 1968 GT 350 Tribute include: Air conditioning, AM/FM compact disc player, power steering and brakes, Power windows, Leather interior, Seat belts, Radial tires wrapped around rally rims. A $212.15 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. Engine: 428 CID V8Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 2,054 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1968 1/2 Ford Torino GT. This Torino for sale is not your average grocery getter from the ‘60’s. Stuffed between the shock towers of this Torino GT is a master piece of Ford technology the 428 Cobra jet engine with factory ram air. This R code beauty was built to get the ice cream home before it melted. In 1968 the 428 had an advertized rating of 335 horsepower with 445 Feet pounds of torque running 10.6:1 compression pistons. Now I believe Ford might have fudged the numbers to the low side to placate the insurance companies. Now according to the Marti report this is a very rare car Torino GT 2 door fastback with the 428-4V CJ covered in candy apple red with black interior originally had the 4.30:1 axle ratio with traction loc. This has been changed to a more gas friendly 3.25:1 final drive ratio. Other than that the only other changes are the Edelbrock Torker intake and 780 street avenger carburetor. The transmission is the venerable c-6 select shift cruise -o-matic .Other option listed on the Marti repot are center console, power brakes and steering and AM radio. This car has been restored to within 98% and is a winner of multiple shows with only about 2100 miles since rebuild and shows like new. So here is your chance to own something that you will not find an entire row of that the local car show. This car needs a row to itself, because let’s face it, how many 1968 ½ R code Ford Torino’s were made? Options for this R code1968 1/2 Grand Torino 428 cobra jet include, Horsepower and torque, AM radio, hub caps, power brakes and steering, seat belts, Vinyl interior, Radial tires with white letters. A $212.15 document fee will be added to the sales price. All purchases may be subject to any applicable tax, title, & licensing fees. For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this fantastic 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. This story begins on September 5, 1967 when the Fastback left the Ford plant in Metuchen, New Jersey. We are looking here at an original S-Code 390ci 4-barrel carburetor V8 big block 68 Mustang Fastback with a 4 speed manual transmission. It was also ordered with the GT Equipment Group. Now you get the idea of what this Fastback is all about and we are thrilled to have it here with us in our South Florida showroom. The Fastback shows very well and drives even better. The blue exterior is just beautiful and it comes with a clean and loaded interior. First thing you will see is the nice center console when you open the door. Just continue looking around and you will also find an overhead console and a nice brushed aluminum dash and much more. There are no cracks in the dash, seats or anywhere else. Powered by a 390ci V8 engine this pony moves forward. In combination with the 4 speed manual transmission it’s just a blast to drive the Fastback. The disc brakes on all 4 wheels will get you to a stop as fast as you will take off in this Mustang. No reason to be worried to get sweaty stains on the nice and clean wooden steering wheel, the A/C is blowing cold. Another very comfortable option is of course the power steering. Folks, this is the real deal here. Everybody wants one and don’t wait too long on this one. Grab the phone and give us a call. You will get more attention with this car than Enzo in his Ferrari. Tributes and clones are a great way to get into a dream car for a smaller price, and this 1968 Shelby GT350 fastback tribute certainly does it right. No expense was spared with this frame off restoration with every nut and bolt either being replaced or refurbished. Kleve Restorations out of Lakewood Colorado sprayed the very clean Ford performance white with Guardsman blue stripes to keep with the Shelby heritage. Every chrome piece is new, plus all of the stainless trim has been professionally restored. It has a long list of authentic parts, a strong running 347 cubic inch V8. Also the right look to make everyone at the local show do double-take when it rolls in. The engine is not original, it was built by Tristar Engines. Helping it pump out 418 horsepower is a set of Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, Howard’s roller camshaft, and ceramic coated headers are just some of the top shelf performance part included in the build. When paired with the Tremec 5-Speed T5 Z spec transmission you can cruise down the highway at 1,600 rpm while traveling 65 mph. For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1967 Ford Mustang. With a quick look at this 1967 Mustang, with its light blue body, white hardtop, and white striping, anyone can see that this is a killer example of an American icon. 1967 saw the first redesign of Ford’s massively successful pony car. The body was enlarged, while keeping the same wheelbase, allowing for big block engine offerings, front and rear end styling was more pronounced and aggressive, and instrument panel offered a thicker crash pad, and larger gauges. The body styles were carried over from the previous year, offering hardtop, fastback, and convertible options. Along with the light blue and white two tone exterior, this Mustang features a matching light blue interior as well. A 289 CID V8 can be found under the hood powering this pony, and that power is fed through an automatic transmission. All of these factors put together add up to a car that not only looks amazing, but drives as good as it looks too. To view this 1967 Ford Mustang in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Now available in our DFW Showrooms is this custom built 1932 Ford Sedan. Today, the 1932 Model B, although always a little bit in the shadow of the V8, is a highly collectible car and people will pay high dollars to restore one to original specification, which is ironic, as they were once cheap "throwaway" cars popular with hot rodders who would tear them apart and use them as the basis for a "build". This is partly why it is so hard to find an unaltered specimen today. Our 1932 is no exception as it has been rebuilt from the ground up! When starting with a custom-rod, where else do you begin then heart of the vehicle. This 1932 is powered around by a straight out the GM crate- Mr.Goodwrench 350-V8 motor, with aluminum heads, edelbrock carb 650 CFM, and a MSD Ignition. Which creates plenty of ponies to the back wheels. Speaking of wheels, this ride is rolling on a fabulous combo set of US-Mags wheels and Mickey Thompson tires. These all connect to Rust’No’More chassis and a fiberglass body sitting on top. Other additional upgrades to this vehicle include: Aluminum rod 3 core speedway, Pete & Jake frontend, SoCal gas tank, Disc brakes, and Muffler headers. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
