Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer one of the rarest muscle cars we've ever had in our inventory - a 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 convertible for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. This beautiful red Super Sport has a white top and interior, so you just can't get a prettier car in this body style. The 409 engine is a 400 HP version built in Ontario, and it's fully documented by GM of Canada. How's this for rare? A mere 742 400 HP cars (both hardtops and convertibles) as opposed to 2,828 340 HP models were sold between the US and Canada. Of those 742 cars, only 25 were the high horsepower version built in Ontario. This drop top Impala has a tinted windshield, front retractable seat belts, padded dash, electric wipers, 409/400 engine, wide ratio manual 4 spd transmission, an AM radio (now has a correct factory AM-FM in its place), and 8.25 X 14 tires. The owner has had this beautiful Super Sport since 1991, and he's completely disassembled the car and restored it as correctly as possible. The engine block and accessories are correct for the year and have been fully rebuilt 3,000 miles ago or so. however, the transmission and rear axle are the ones this iconic Chevy were born with. Besides the 1961 409 cars, the 1965 models are the rarest, because by mid-year the 409 was replaced by the 396 CID big block. These cars are the end of a legendary run of GM muscle car engines that were only built for five model years and are arguably what started the muscle car era at Chevrolet for the non-Corvette models.Don't miss your chance to buy a car that rarely comes up for sale and when they do, few are as nice as this example. This 1965 Chevy Impala SS 409 convertible is for sale right now in our facility. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1966 Impala 2-door. The exterior is finished in a beautiful red and the interior is done in custom red/pearl which matches amazingly. Under the hood you will find a revuilt 283 CID V8 engine. The power is delivered to the wheels via a smooth shifting automatic transmission. The distributor, coil, cap and rotor have recently been changed. 1966 represented the second model year for the fourth generation Impala. Redesigned in 1965, the Impala set an all-time industry annual sales record of more than 1 million units in the United States. All new full-size Chevrolets eschewed the "X" frame for a full-width perimeter frame, a new body that featured curved, frameless side glass (for pillarless models), sharper angled windshield with newly reshaped vent windows, and redesigned full-coil suspension. The Impala would be the #2-selling convertible in the US in 1966, with 38,000 sold; it was beaten only by the Mustang. 1968 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: Turbo 400
Mileage: 51,795 ( undocumented )

This 1968 427 Chevrolet Impala Custom is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 68 Impala was a popular seller for GM. The car could be had a number of variations from a 2-door coupe like this one all the way to a wagon. The engine line up had just as many variations with the almighty 427 sitting atop the list. This two-owner car has its original drivetrain making for a rather collectible piece of American history. With only one respray back to its original color the car looks like something straight out of 1968. The redline tires are an awesome touch and what you would expect to see in 68. Open the hood and the part that makes this car so valuable is staring right at you. The 427 in most of these were taken out a long time ago built and pout into some type of race car. This is the 427 that the car left the factory with and it runs unlike anything I have felt. It’s hard to believe a car this big and heavy can get up to speed as this one does. Matched up to its original TH400 transmission this car is ready to run down the road. Inside the original interior is in reputable shape with the front bench being rather comfortable. The huge trunk is in great condition for an untouched piece. This car is a great original American classic that can be bought a great price and enjoyed. If you have ever wanted one of the last of GM’s powerful boats that defined an era. Options on this 1968 427 Chevrolet Impala custom include, AM Stereo, AC, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Hub Caps, and Redline Tires. Mileage: 175 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this numbers-matching 1962 Chevrolet C-1 Corvette. The final year of the first generation Corvette, this car is adorned with options that would be found on the last of a decade-long body style, including: a wraparound windshield, solid rear axle, and convertible-only body style. The exposed headlamps and trunk lid did not re-appear for many decades. The Corvette line was born in 1953 as a concept entry into the New York Auto Show, known as the Motorama. The response was so great it prompted General Motors to begin limited production for the 1953 model year which launched a legend. This '62 Corvette for sale comes from the same pedigree, and is ready to show and go! Moving this beauty down the road is a classic 327 CID small-block Chevy V8 engine that had a rebuild roughly 500 miles ago. This car runs like a champ and is great for weekend cruises. Rated at 300 horsepower, this Corvette was built for even the most eager thrill seekers. The power plant is coupled with an optional four-speed manual transmission, which offers you the maximum adrenaline rush. Simply put, there is nothing quite like the feeling of motoring along the highways and byways of America in a true American legend. Top down, radio on, exhaust rumbling, and passersby giving you a double-take as you’re hustling her through the twisties. Nestled into a cockpit-inspired cabin with aviation-style instrumentation and wrap around bucket seats, one can truly feel why this car has become the living legend it is. The beige vinyl sport buckets straddle the shifter snugly, begging you to slip in and run through the gears! With an exterior that’s just as sharp as the interior, it’s hard to go wrong with this 1962 Corvette convertible for sale. The classic styling of this C-1 Corvette was a perfect example of the new trend in American styling. The Wineberry Red paint on this C-1 'Vette hugs every sexy curve of this old school cruiser. The raised front and rear fenders makes for a very muscular stance, low to the ground, and very aggressive. The quad headlights and the blacked-out anodized grill completed the concept that had, at that time, taken America by storm. A small block Chevy 350 V8 with a high flowing 600CFM Holley Chrome Polished 4 Barrel Carb powers this street rod. Ram horn style exhaust manifolds go through turbo mufflers for exhaust. The powerplant is backed by a Turbo 350 Transmission that lets you take control via an automatic floor shifter. Covair front suspension supports the front end while Chevrolet Rear suspension remains in the back. Power drum brakes with a 7-inch booster, dual master cylinder with a proportional brake valve gets you to confidently and quickly slow down and stop right when you need to. A driveshaft safety loop underneath supports and braces the driveshaft. Chrome Lakewood ladder bars assist in getting traction to the rear wheels while contributing to this 5-windows classy styling. In addition to styling, true spoke mag wheels measuring 15”X 7” absolutely gleam when seen wrapped in the center of Indy Fire-hawk tires. The fuel tank has been cleaned, red coated and sports new mounting straps. When parked, you can really make a statement at any car show or cruise night with all of the functioning blue lights inside and underneath the truck turned on. Displaying the trucks interior is made easy by all windows operating as they should. Parking lights, running lights, engine bay lights are all operational as well. This street rod has also had routine maintenance performed. Both Front and Rear brake wheel cylinders & brake shoes were replaced. The transmission was serviced with new filter, gaskets and fluids, as well as the engine with new spark plugs installed and new fuel filter. In addition, a fire extinguisher is included as well as a 12-volt battery is located in the trunk. This 5-window is set and ready to cruise anytime you are. All that is needed is a new home.
