1953 Ford F100

Engine: 289
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 14,769 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this awesome 1953 Ford F100. This ‘53 Ford F100 is the one you have been waiting for. Too often you see cars and trucks that have been personalized past the point of no return. Fortunately, that is not the case with this truck. Looking at this beautiful fire engine red truck is like an artist looking at an open idea. You can leave it the way it is and have loads of fun, or modify it to your liking. The overall stock look is very appealing with the bright red paint and black running boards. The simplistic chrome “dog dish” hub caps and painted steel wheels takes you down memory lane. There is just enough chrome displayed to add to the look, but not take away from the nostalgic feel. You don’t run into these 1953 Ford F100’s in this type of shape often. The simple basic feel carries right over into the light brown vinyl bench seat interior. This truck makes you want to hop in, drive to a huge open field, and sip a tall glass of lemonade. With only a few knobs and switches on the inside, the bright chrome gauge cluster captures your eyes showing speedometer, oil pressure, volts, water temp, and fuel. Powering this classic F100 is a Ford 289 “Y” block mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Adding to the vintage package is the fact that it is “three on the tree.” It doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to a pure throwback classic. If it’s too tame for you, let your imagination run wild. The best thing about this 1953 Ford F100 is the fact you know exactly what you’re dealing with. Options include Spare Tire, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and a Wood Slat truck bed. Don’t miss your opportunity to take a trip down memory lane. There is still plenty of country roads out there to explore and car shows to pull up to. This 1953 Ford F100 is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Transmission: Fordomatic
Mileage: 88,825 ( undocumented )

This 1955 Ford Crown Victoria is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 55 Crown Victoria was a direct shot at Chevy’s new line-up of vehicles. The Crown Victoria would have a very distinct chrome B pillar that ran from one side of the car to the other making it stand out in a crowded marketplace. The body itself was very similar and with a few different engine options they were well received by the public. The color palette that Ford would bring out that year would really put an exclamation point on their new line. This two-tone beauty speaks for itself with its slick black & white paint and endless stainless & chrome trim! The Class and style of the 50's Vicky’s are unsurpassed! This one is powered by a 272 CID "Y block" V8 and sits in a highly detailed, super clean engine bay. The power produced is sent through the original 2 speed automatic transmission. Everyone loves the look of a classic and admires the style of yester year. With all the features offered for that this one is ready for every cruise-in and car show event in comfort and style. The owner states “this old girl drives straight and smooth”. The only reason he is selling it is too many toys and he can’t drive them all! 1955 Ford Thunderbird

1955 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 292 V8
Transmission: 3-speed Over-Drive
Mileage: 68,313 ( undocumented )

We are happy to offer for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in our Saint Louis this 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This first year Thunderbird is painted in a rare Goldenrod Yellow with a white soft top, white hardtop with black and white two-toned interior. Power comes from a 292-cubic inch V8, the only available engine for 1955. This one is equipped with a manual 3 speed transmission and optional over drive. The over drive is a neat unit. Once in 3rd gear and youre ready, pull the T handle beneath the dash and you're in! Other equipment includes power seats, wide white wall radial tires and a white hardtop. To add some personal touches, the previous owner decided to paint the hard-top white as opposed to keeping it body color as the factory would have painted it. The soft top is also white which would have been black fabric from the factory. These personal touches give the car a unique look and help it stand out from other '55 Thunderbirds. This is easily reversible if someone chooses. Recent maintenance includes new tires, new clutch and a rebuilt carburetor. In 1955 Ford introduced the Thunderbird to knock a dent into Corvette sales. Ford accomplished this with flying colors. 1955 Corvette production reached 700 units compared to Ford's whopping 16,155! Chevrolet needed some serious help if they were going to save the Corvette. Eventually Ford decided to lean more towards the luxury side and away from the performance side that the Corvette was pursuing. The Thunderbird has had a long and interesting run over the years. However, there's no mistaking the first run of the 1955 through 1957 T-Birds. They are the most collectible of any Thunderbird and will always be the most collectible. These hard and soft top equipped Thunderbirds are very cool, giving you the coupe and convertible feel all in one car. Call our St. Louis showroom for more information on this early T-bird at 618-271-3000 or email STL@gatewayclassiccars.com. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

1953 Ford Customline

1953 Ford Customline

Engine: 239 CID V8 Flathead
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 43,428 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1953 Ford Customline. This vehicle is equipped with an all original cloth interior, am radio, seatbelts, white wall tires, as well as being a numbers matching vehicle “per owner statement”. The beginning of this line began in 1952, when the Ford Motor Company did a restructuring of their all new vehicle line that began in 1949. The Customline was the mid-level car, the peddles have now become suspended from below the dash. A voltmeter, gas gauge, temp gauge, and oil pressure were standard. The clock and radio were positioned in the center of the dash, and the grille now sported a single center Bullet flanked by vertical black stripes. The radio preset buttons were even preset to local stations by your local ford dealer as a special yet unusual service. This vehicle is equipped with the long lived and famous Ford Flathead V8 coming in at 239 CID or 3.9L. This vehicle has been well taken care of and started its life In Louisville, Kentucky where it rolled off the assembly line on September 3, 1952. This car was restored in 2011, where it received full engine and transmission rebuild. During the vehicles restoration it was noted that the panels did not need to be replaced or patched so underneath its gorgeous black paint are its original and untouched panels. The all original interior compliments the exterior and speaks highly to the care the vehicle has seen through out its life. This car is not only breath taking, it is also a pleasure to take our and cruise down the road to your local cruise in. 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Engine: 351 CID V8 2V
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 74,686 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a one of a kind 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Sold new on August 28th 1973 in Niagara Falls, New York; this Mach 1 has been lovingly maintained and cared for since. Right off the bat, the car as taken to Armor Guard to be Rust Guard treated. The sticker still remains on the window, and clearly the product did its job as the car is incredibly solid. From then on, the stewards whom owned the vehicle were fanatical about keeping maintenance records, and documentation throughout the car’s life. From oil change invoices, to original Dealership paperwork, almost all of it has remained with the car. With this paper trail, we know the car made it’s way from New York to South Carolina, and then eventually to Illinois. The car is a Mach 1 with it’s original 351 Cleveland under the hood, and a C6 transmission and 9” rear end. It is a well optioned car with bucket seats, factory stripes, factory tachometer, factory AM radio, and even a period style aftermarket FM converter. For the music buff, it also has a factory 8 track player, so you can jam REO Speedwagon’s Ridin the Storm out, or Elton John’s Crocodile rock on 8 track! Other options include: power steering, power brakes, 3 speed wipers, and cigarette lighter. With a recent visit to the Ford dealership, perished suspension and brake components have been replaced, and the car has been given a clean bill of health. As it sits, it is a wonderful highway cruiser and a joy to display at shows. Whether you’re an experienced Mustang collector, or wishing to enter the collector car hobby, this Mach 1 would be a great choice. You can see this 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or STL@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.
