1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS

Engine: 396 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,430 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is excited to offer one of the most iconic cars in the history of automobiles - a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible for sale right now in our Arizona showroom. Painted a beautiful shade of Hugger Orange with a white manual convertible top, it'll give you many smiles per gallon. Pair that up with a black and white Houndstooth interior, and this is a color combination that's hard to beat. This car runs, drives, handles, steers, and stops like you'd want and expect it to, the only thing is the current owner does not have the paperwork to document this is originally a big block 4-spd model. He bought the car as seen here, and was never able to confirm that this was the powertrain it had from GM. If it was documented, you better believe the price would be a lot higher and the new owner probably wouldn't drive it for fear of damaging an investment-grade automobile. With this Camaro, you can go out and have fun with it, enjoying the torquey engine, shifting through the gears, and feeling the sun and wind in your face. It also cannot be documented that this is a real RS/SS model, but again, it is now and can be enjoyed as such. It's still "is what it is". It's an attractively priced first gen Camaro equipped just right at a fraction of the price of a documented car. Don't miss this iconic 1969 Chevy Camaro convertible for sale right now in our facility. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com. This 1969 Camaro is a true ss that has been transformed into a custom restomod built by THORNTON out of Telford Pennsylvania. This stunning ’69 stands out from other Camaros with its modern fuel injected engine, updated suspension, and smooth shifting new 4 speed automatic transmission. Chevrolet engineers made this production Performance LS3 6.2L Crate Engine to deliver a stunning 495 horsepower and 473 lb.-ft. of torque. This car is the dream mix of bad to the bone appearance with modern fuel injection modern technology. A major benefit of EFI systems is the greatly improved cold and hot starting performance. If you take a peak under the car you will notice that this car could be literally eaten off of. The HEDTS suspension for the front and rear are all new and set up to be a comfortable driver with coil over shocks. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Engine: 434 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 703 ( since rebuilt )

The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. And last but not least this car comes with ALL of the original parts that have been upgraded or replaced during the restoration. This includes but is not limited to the numbers matching 350 V8, Air Conditioning setup, power steering as well as the 3.31 gears that were replaced wit the 4.10s. You can view this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. Engine: 496 CID V8
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,139 ( since rebuilt )

See this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Resto-Mod on display in our Atlanta showroom. The Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 454 Powered Camaro Resto-Mod. This 1969 Camaro took nearly 4 years to build with meticulous attention to detail and upgrades to make this Camaro look as appealing as it does. The 454 was bored to a 496 rated at 650-hp, 675-Lbs torque, with just 4,500-miles since being shoe-horned into the engine bay. Attention was taken for the cooling and look of this beast, by the addition of a Be Cool aluminum radiator, with dual fans, powder coating on core support as well as fender wells, and Billet Specialties True Track serpentine belt system. Power is transferred to a Magnum T-56 6-speed manual transmission, and on to a Moser True Track 9” rear end with 411 gears. Stopping is handled by Hydra Tech brake system, utilizing Baer 11” brakes on all 4-corners. The car was also updated by the Detroit sub frame connectors, mini tubs, Rick’s Stainless Vaporworx fuel tank. There is too much to list, both performance and body wise upgrades that have been add - but if you’re interested, we have a list supplied by the owner. She was built to drive and look good doing it! You can take this Camaro to your local show, or a long comfortable cruise with ease. You can enjoy all of the modern amenities you’d expect in a car like this – from the, leather interior, vintage a/c, power steering, power brakes, power windows, to the JL Audio stereo system. The impressive British Green with white stripe paint shows extremely well and does a great job of showing off meticulously worked body lines. The complete custom interior is what also separates this Camaro from the crowd. 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS

1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS

Engine: 250 CID I6
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 20,000 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Camaro convertible! This awesome car is finished in Butternut Yellow with black vinyl interior. A color found on about 12.5% of Camaro vehicles made this first model year. 1966 was when the Camaro came to life, appearing in dealerships in September of that year. It was a massive success for Chevrolet as we all know, utilizing their brand new F-body platform. Powering this classic is the entry level 230 CID I6 engine. The I6 was the least powerful of the engine options available, but it was definitely the smoothest and most efficient. If you are looking for a gorgeous weekend cruiser or something to take to a car show, but aren't obsessed with crazy hp figured and winning races, then this is probably the engine for you. This car was left as an I6 due to the fact that the engine and transmission are numbers matching and the owner wanted to preserve its originality. You will notice that this car has the RS appearance package too. This includes the hidden headlights, revised taillights with back-up lights under the rear bumper, RS badging, and exterior bright trim. There were tons of options in 1967 for the Camaro including 80 factory and 40 dealer options which could be had on 3 different trim levels. This one is outfitted with an AM radio, manual convertible top, hub caps, power steering and vinyl interior. Don't miss your chance to own this beautiful car. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.

1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: TH350 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 68,012 ( undocumented )

This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Pace Car is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1978 was the 25th anniversary of the Corvette and GM wanted to capitalize on this prestigious event with a special edition Corvette. After speaking with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, GM was able to obtain the rights to be the pace car for the race. The decision was made to have the car painted black and silver a classic color combination. They had 2 versions with base model having the L48 which consisted of close 75% of the cars. This beauty is one of the more coveted L82 models which was switched out for something that is a little more powerful. The new engine is still a small block, but the displacement has been increased to a total of 454 CI. The balanced and blueprint engine is putting out over twice as much as the original L82 giving this pace car the power it deserves. A blueprint cast iron block was used which allows for a much longer stroke with the forged connecting rods being 6.00. The 950CFM carb feeds just the right amount of fuel and with the engine having a 10:1 compression pump gas works just fine. The TH350 transmission was rebuilt and seems to handle the power extremely well transferring the power to the rear wheels with ease. The custom exhaust really lets everyone know that this is not your normal small block. The interior is clean and original to the car with the weather stripping replaced as well as the T Tops. The exterior of the car looks great with the remaining stickers still in their original box. To top everything off the car is even sold with the original window sticker showing the original 14410.21 sticker price equivalent to almost 54500 dollars in today’s money. If you have been wanting one of these Iconic Pace Cars but the performance wasn’t quite there for you this beauty has that problem squared away. Options on this 1978 Chevrolet Pace Car include, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Seat Belts, T-Tops, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, Aluminum Wheels, and Leather Interior.
