For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is an awe inspiring 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. This amazing piece of art and machinery has been with its second owner for the last twenty years. The actual mileage is 14,125, while the odometer shows 22,848 in kilometers. It's obvious how well it has been loved and cared for over the years. The car has never been restored and is still wearing the original paint and Pirelli P7R tires. Those giant rear tires measure 335/35R15 and were specially made for the Countach. This Countach is the 5000 Quattrovalvole and produces 420 horsepower and will rev to 7,500 rpm! Many sources say that the 5000 Quattro was the best version of the Countach. The Lamborghini Countach was first produced in 1974 and was a true work of art. No one had ever seen a car with such body lines. The closest thing to it was a Pantera with a Ford engine. The Countach is powered by an amazing V12 engine that sounds like a symphony in perfect harmony that finishes off with a throaty growl. It went through many transformations over the years starting from 4 liters and a half a dozen down draft Webers, all the way to 5 liters, 4 valves per cylinder and fuel injection. Lamborghini originally made tractors and was very successful. Mr. Lamborghini went to Ferrari and requested some changes be made to the clutch that was used on current Ferraris. Enzo quickly declined and the Lamborghini auto company was born just 3 months later. They have been at each other's throats ever since. During the Countach era, Ferrari did their best to compete. First with the 365 Berlinetta powered by a flat 12 boxer engine, then the Testarossa and finally the 288 GTO with twin turbo chargers. The Lamborghini was able to stay ahead and remain the better performer. Of all the Lamborghinis produced since 1963, the Countach remains the most recognizable and is without question a collector piece. If you're ready to sit in the red leather bucket seats (very comfortable), turn the key to ignite all 12 cylinders, slip the shifter into 1st gear and experience something that will stay with you for the rest of your life, call us to discuss your options on purchasing this amazing piece of machinery. Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! Options on this 1955 Custom Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC, AM/FM, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires.
