For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very unique 1958 Austin FX3. The odometer reads 735, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1958 Austin FX3 include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Boyd Coddington Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. A ZZ3 350 CID V8 engine powers this British, Resto Mod taxi down the road with plenty of pep to spare. Full stainless exhaust runs out the back and provides a great sound. A 700R4 4 speed automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear end and to the Goodyear Eagle radial tires. The exterior is covered in a Deep Brandywine Burgundy Metallic paint, which does show some age, but has a nice shine to it. The custom interior features gray leather upholstery, a Dakota Digital gauge setup, a Lokar shifter, air conditioning, and power windows. This old British taxi still has the "For Hire" sign attached to the roof, and has miles of legroom in the back for your passengers. You can put this taxi to work by driving newly-weds around town, or the family from car show to car show, either way the passengers will have a blast. This Austin has a great stance courtesy of the suspension setup and the Boyd Coddington wheels that are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle radial tires. The Copo’s Legacy: COPO’s second coming builds on a legacy established in 1969, when the first purpose-built Camaro drag-racing specialty car was designed to compete in the NHRA Stock Eliminator. The COPO nameplate is a nod to the Central Office Production Order system, which cunning Chevrolet dealers used to build one-of-a-kind high-performance models. In 2011, a new COPO concept was shown at the SEMA Show. The overwhelming response inspired a special-edition production run. Engines were assembled at the Wixom Performance Build Center, where the buyer could opt to participate in the engine assembly. With national records for quarter-mile times in the 9-second range, the COPO’s success has continued every year since the 2012 model year, with a limited run of 69 cars. Each COPO Camaro race car is built by hand starting with production hardware, including the same body in white used for production models. The production race cars are fitted with an NHRA-approved roll cage and other safety equipment, along with racing chassis and suspension components – including a unique solid rear axle system in place of a regular-production Camaro’s independent rear axle. If you’re looking to stand out at every car-show and be part of a unique club (1 of 69), this is the vehicle for you. 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

Engine: LS7 (427)
Transmission: 4L60E
Mileage: 126 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this unbelievably custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The 55 Chevy Bel-Air is arguably one of the best-looking cars ever built. There clean lines and finless design make them great candidates for full on custom builds. Art Morrison started out building frames for tubbed out drag cars in the 70’s and 80’s but the company really took off when he began building his line of pro-touring chassis’. This 55 is sitting on one of his custom-built frames which not only looks good but increases the handling of the car dramatically. Finished off in the same Erica red paint as the body making the transition from floor pan to frame almost seamless. With touches of chrome here and there to break it up you can tell this was a well thought out build. The stance of the car was also dramatically changed due to the chassis as well with it sitting much lower than a stock 55. The wheels will be the next thing you notice with the set consisting of 18’s in the front and 20’s in the back giving the car that aggressive look. Behind those wheels are a set of chrome plated calipers that blend nicely while the cross-drilled and slotted rotors show people you mean business. Under that silky-smooth hood is was most consider the Mecca of LS powerplants. This LS7 has been built with a mild cam giving it a nice lope at idle but the real work is in the details. The intake has been painted to match with the custom firewall being cleaned up which flows into the custom inner fender wells. A custom piece of metal was formed to cover up the radiator as well making this engine bay look seamless like the rest of the car. Putting power to the road is a built 4l60 transmission giving you the capability to drive this beauty down the freeway comfortably at highway speeds. Inside the custom touches are extensive with the dash being made from one piece of metal as well. The gauges and AC vents are molded into that custom dash as well keeping with that flowing design. The leather wrapped seats are extremely comfortable while the Lokar shifter sits perfectly in the custom-made console. With this car being a fresh build and never shown to the public this beauty is guaranteed to collect a whole room of trophies or do what this car was intended to do Drive It! Options on this 1955 Custom Chevrolet Bel Air include, AC, AM/FM, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
