For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford 5 Window coupe. This isn't your traditional '36 and may be mistaken for a '37. One of the most notable features is the transformation from a rumble seat into an operable trunk lid. You would be hard pressed to find another '36 5 window with this custom treatment. The eye catching blue paint is a one year only 2002 Volkswagen Aquarius Blue. It certainly looks period correct but with a little pop. The restoration is top notch thanks to a seasoned car builder and a solid body. This '36 is still using all of its original sheet metal! The top was filled, the trunk was heavily modified by removing the rumble seat and precise cutting to create a trunk, custom headlights, tail lights, bumpers and firewall. Underneath is just as impressive and features a Mustang II designed front suspension with upper and lower control arms with power rack and pinion steering. Power front disc and rear drums make for easy braking. The polished stainless steel 18-gallon fuel tank looks beautiful. Power comes from a mild 1970 350 small block Chevy and sends the power through a TH-350 automatic transmission and back to an open rear diff with 2.75:1 gears. The build has just over 6,000 miles and is sure to impress. Inside is a Tea C bench seat, Dolphin Gauges, tilt steering column and A/C controls. The front windshield still tilts outward and the rear window also rolls down. For more information on this custom 1936 Ford 5 window, call 618-271-3000 or stop by our St. Louis showroom. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this excellent 1936 Ford Pheaton. By the mid-1930s, fully open cars, the roadsters and phaetons, were losing out to convertible coupes and convertible sedans with roll-up side windows. Some manufactures, like General Motors, cut back on open styles altogether. Ford, however, kept a full line in production into the late 1930s. Even though the 1935 Ford Convertible Sedan had proved popular and the ’36 model even more so, leading to a mid-year version with enclosed luggage compartment, phaetons continued to do well, nearly matching the convertible sedans in popularity. This car has a newer restoration and is presented in Washington Blue and Tan LeBaron Bonney interior. This attractive body type combined modern (for the period) styling and V-8 performance. The engine is a 239-cid flathead V-8 (4600 miles since rebuilt) that is matched to a three-speed manual transmission. The phaeton has long, trim lines and seats six adults comfortably. Options include LeBaron Bonny interior, greyhound hood ornament, spare tire, hub caps, seat belts, vinyl interior, kill switch, wide white walls, and bias ply tires. Ford V-8s of the 1930s have been perennial favorites. This car demonstrates why this is so. 1936 Ford V-8 Deluxe Phaeton This 1936 Ford V-8 Phaeton is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford Tudor. This beautiful street rod has covered a modest 1,600 miles since its full frame off restoration last year. The restoration started as well as anyone can ask for, a rust free body. This one is all original steel, no fiberglass on this one! Prior to the restoration, the car had been stored in a garage since 1946 with an original 27,000 miles! Even though the car was very solid, the restorer decided to upgrade the chassis to a Pete and Jake frame. This is a great upgrade to handle the added power coming from the Vortec 350 V8. Other upgrades and street rod themed parts include power four wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C system, new front and rear suspension, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, 700 R4 overdrive automatic transmission, tilt steering column, digital gauges, all new glass, new top, Walker radiator, new high end interior by Sew Fine Interiors of St. Louis and of course wheels and tires. The wheel and tire combo are 17 inch up front and 20 inch out back for a great staggered look. The bumpers were all rechromed and the paint is PPG base/clear Dark Purple Pearl. This '36 Ford is very well built and ready to impress! Call our St. Louis showroom for more information or swing by for an up close viewing. It’s not everyday that Gateway Classic Cars is given the pleasure to offer a vehicle that was built, documented, and owned by the same individual. What you see here is fantastic mix of 50’s east coast, patina rod, and rat rod stylings that took over 3 years to complete. This 1936 Ford Pickup is the final build of a man’s 45 year legacy of constructing custom rods. The build began with a fully customized frame. The rear is “Z’ed” approximately 10” to make way for a truly sinister stance. Unlike other rat rods, the ’36 Ford truck cab was lovingly restored, channeled 4”, and all cancerous rust was removed and replaced with new metal before being finished in Flat Black. The powertrain boasts an ever-popular and rebuilt/resealed 300 hp Chevy 350 small block pushing 9:1 compression which calls for 87 octane fuel. Lake-style headers provide the driver with an aggressive exhaust note. Behind the mildly-cammed Chevy 350 sits a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission with shift kit, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9” posi rear end with coilovers. The front suspension has been donned with manual rack and pinion steering, period-correct drop axle, and leaf spring. Manual disc brakes from an Impala with new stainless steel lines are utilized up front, while the rear is capped with drums. All gauges are in working order. The 14 gallon fuel cell will provide this build with a longer journey capacity than most custom rods. The car is correctly titled as a 1936 Ford, which can sometimes prove difficult depending on which state you seek approval, and the VIN is stamped both in the frame and firewall. Simply put, you can NOT put a custom rod like this together for even twice the modest sticker price. This ’36 Ford would be a fantastic initiation for anyone interested in entering the world of custom rodding, and all of the difficult work has been performed by a veteran and professional of the automotive business. For more information and to view dozens of HD pictures and a video of it running, please visit www.GATEWAYCLASSICCARS.com and dial (708) 444-4488.

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston is this awesome 1936 Ford Special Deluxe. Finished in Green with a Gray interior, this vintage classic really looks the part. It is powered by a 1942 85hp 221 CID Ford V8 mated to a 2-speed transmission with reverse. The vehicle shows 2725 miles on the odometer, but it is unknown if this is actual or not. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting. The current owner has had it for about 3 years and has take very good care of it. It’s a road ready classic that would make a great starter classic or an awesome addition to anyone’s car collection. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. You can also email us at email@example.com. The car is in our showroom at 1910 Cypress Station Dr #200, Houston, TX 77090. This 1936 Ford 5 Window is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 36 Ford was an instant success for the Ford Motor Company with over 800k units sold that year. Still considered by many the best looking front end on any Ford they are a natural fit for a Street rod Build. This beauty has kept its natural lines and appears to be real Henry Ford Steel. One thing is certain the all metal body has slick burgundy paint, accented with some one of a kind hand pinstriping something that is hard to find in today’s world. Open the rear lid and you will be surprised to see not a trunk but a rumble seat allowing for a couple more passengers. The interior of the car was recently done in the 2-tone vinyl you see know which compliments the outside nicely. With the windshield still having the ability to roll out allowing for a great breeze when cruising. Even the pinstriping has been carried in to the inside with a nice design on the glove box which actually conceals the CD player. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving it that custom look. Under the hood is the go to price for any Street rodder, the small block 350 has plenty of power, durability and parts can be found pretty much anywhere. The billet dress up kit looks great and does not require the polishing of chrome. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm yet positive upshifts. The 10-bolt rear end has a set of highway gears that allow for a decent RPM when going down the road. If you have been wanting a clean real deal all steel Street rod that loves to be driven down the road this 36 5 Window should be at the top of that list. Options of this 1936 Ford 5 window include; AM/FM/CD, Vinyl Interior, Tilt Wheel, and Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. Built with simplicity in mind, this 1950 Ford F-1 is equipped with only the essentials but did not have any expense spared during the process. The heart and soul of this pick up is a completely rebuilt 1950 Ford flathead V8 bored .60 over and roughly 1,500 miles since completion. The lope at idle provided by the Comp Cams Thumpr (#41-600-7) is the only music you will need on your ride and is very distinguishable sound. Also equipped is Offenhauser pistons, Mahle rings, Isky valve spring, and Ford rods, crank and block. Hooked up behind the flathead is a 3-speed manual transmission rebuilt at the same time as the engine and shifts smoothly between gears. The cab of the truck is still the 1950 Ford F-1 but has been heavily modified to give it the much sleeker look it has now. 6” of the top were sliced out to bring the profile lower and was moved 18” further back on the frame allowing it to run without fenders. The hood was custom built for this truck and transitions smoothly into the 1943 International fire truck grill. The bed was also built specially for this truck and matches the rest of the build very well. Slide inside the truck and you will wonder if it is even functional with how simplistic it is. The metal dash is smooth with only three gauges; Water temp left side, Oil pressure, Water temp right side. The custom bench seat sits low in the cab giving plenty of head room for all and a very comfortable driving position. All of the electronic connections have been mounted in a box behind the seat keeping the cab uncluttered and everything easily accessible. One cruise in this truck and you will be hooked! The ride is smooth and comfortable, the exhaust note will give you chills and surprisingly is not overbearingly loud and will turn heads everywhere it goes. If you are looking for a completely rebuilt and restored truck that is going to stick out from the rest of the crowd this truck is a great choice! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1950 Ford F-1 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com.
