Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully built 1949 Chevrolet Suburban resto-mod. This beauty has the best of both worlds, a slick classic look on the outside, with all new mechanicals underneath. This stunning '49 rides on custom suspension which utilizes a Monte Carlo front end with all new Upper and Lower A-arms, new bushings, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, and new shocks. It has disc brakes in all four corners with new rotors, calipers, and pads. The body itself was a nice rust free example which was media blasted, epoxy primered, and painted with base coat clear coat. It features a sharp two tone scheme with tan on the top, and peacock blue on the bottom. The power plant is a new GM crate 350 CID V8 which mates up to a rebuilt 700R4 Automatic Overdrive transmission. The overdrive makes long highway drives effortless, and is operated by a simple toggle switch. The 700R4 leads to a 79 Pontiac rear end with Posi-Traction and 3.08 final drive ratio. The interior is nicely laid out with 4 full sized bucket seats to comfortable fit 4 adults. What a great road trip or tailgate vehicle! With full options, this baby is easy to drive; power steering, power brakes, and cold Air Conditioning. For parking, it even has a back up camera which displays on the rearview mirror! Of course, a vehicle like this needs a bumping stereo, so the Suburban has 7 speakers and plenty of bump in the trunk. The time and attention to detail put into this build is incredible. If you're looking for a well built, reliable vehicle, this is a great choice. You can see this 1949 Chevrolet Suburban in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this 1949 Chevrolet 3600 Pick-Up Truck! This vehicle is part of Chevrolet’s Advance-Design series. Advance-Design was a truck series by Chevrolet, their first major redesign after WWII. It was billed as a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955, when the Task Force Series trucks replaced the aging Advance-Design model. This Truck although simplistic, really stands out in a crowd and is great vehicle to either take a cruise in or haul around to local car-shows. It’s powered by a rebuilt 235 Thriftmaster engine, which provides around 150 HP and a 4-speed manual transmission. This Truck also has a beautifully laid wooden bed and matching side-rails, which most are sure to compliment. The interior has been re-done and completed approximately 2.5-3 years ago, to a period correct set-up. The dash appears to be left original, with untouched gauges and even an AM only radio. All this sets on a shiny set of Chevrolet hub-caps and comes with a full-size spare on the side. The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1947 Chevrolet Suburban. The story of this Chevy was published in 2008 Rodder’s Digest Magazine and also comes with the vehicle of course. The 4-page article glossed readers with one of the best family hauler built and details this car on every point. This 95 LT1 engine and 4L80E GM four speed automatic transmission began the build. A Heidt front end and dropped spindles brings the business end of the suburban 4 inches closer to the ground and the rear end is assembled from Chassis Engineering supporting a 95 caprice rearend. For sale in our Nashville show room is this mean Pro Street 1934 Chevy Coupe. If Darth Vader drove a hot rod, this would be it. Not unlike the death star, this chariot was built with only one goal in mind… total street domination! Sporting a sinister piano black paint job and black leather interior, this car looks every bit as intimidating as it should be. Under the hood you have an explosive 383 stroker small block chevy and 350 turbo transmission at your command, ready to unleash a win at the drop of the hammer. Sitting on massive tires in the rear and skinnies up front, you won’t be able to hide the purpose of this monster. The fuel cell is tucked away in the trunk. Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is excited to welcome this Pro Street 1978 Chevrolet Corvette to our showroom. Pro street cars are not always built with drivability in mind. The owner of this car however built it so that it feels very comfortable on the highway. This Corvette started life as a 1978 Corvette Pace Car. There are very few traces of that car remaining today. The outside is finished in Meadow Green Metallic. The interior is Black and in excellent condition. The engine is a 355 CI V8 with a 671 BDS Blower and Hilbourne Fuel injection. The engine was built by Lorenzos Fast Flow Cylinders and was putting out over 600 HP before the fuel injection was added. A Turbo 400 automatic transmission with reverse manual valve body, trans brake and line lock transfers the power to a 9 in Ford rear with 4:33 gears and a nodular center section. A wildwood 4 wheel disc setup brings this beast to a stop and adjustable rear shocks and 90/10 racing shocks upfront keep the rubber on the road. The car is equipped with power steering and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The ignition is electronic MSD and everything is controlled by a Fast Systems computer. The rear wing is an aluminum custom fabrication that helps to keep the tires hooked to the asphalt. The wheelie bars look great, and they are not welded on, so they can be removed for a more discreet look. To view this 1978 Corvette in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video shot with the owner putting this car through it’s paces, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ.
