Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this incredible one-owner, 15,662-mile 1981 Chrysler Imperial for sale in their Indianapolis showroom. This must one of the lowest mileage ’81 Imperials we’ve ever seen! Originally used as a Chrysler executive car in Auburn Hills, Michigan, this Imperial was delivered to a Chrysler dealer in late 1981. It was there the Imperial found a home as part of the dealer’s personal collection of cars, and was only driven on rare occasions, and never in bad weather. In 2016 the dealer passed, and his collection, including this incredible car, was sold. The current owner has meticulously cared for this beauty ever since, logging fewer than 4,000 miles since acquiring the car. In May of 2016 a temperamental EFI system was replaced with a far more reliable Chrysler carburetor system. The conversion package was professionally installed with adherence to Chrysler’s detailed instructions. Included with the 207 individual parts affiliated with the EFI conversion was a new digital dash module. Because of that upgrade, the digital odometer was reset to “zero”, however, the current owner has the original components, and documentation, to validate the mileage. This Imperial has the appearance of a new car, inside and out. Except for the power antenna, all the factory equipment still works as it should. Cold A/C, AM/FM/Cassette, cruise control, full power options, and fully functioning digital dash. This is a remarkable car, and one you’ll be proud to call your own. Be sure to visit our main web site, www.gatewayclassiccars.com, to check out 100+ HD pictures, and a short video of this beautiful Imperial in action. Better yet, stop by our showroom in person and see this Chrysler first hand! Our Indianapolis showroom is located at 4400 West 96th Street, Indianapolis, In. 46268. Contact us directly at 317-688-1100. We look forward to seeing you on the showroom floor!

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1960 Chrysler Imperial Crown. The 1960 Imperial adopted wildly exaggerated styling, featuring front fascia with a swooping bumper, gaping mesh grille, giant chrome eagle, and hooded quad headlights, and tall rear fins. Soaring fins had bullet style tail lamps at the peak of the fin, with a chrome ring surrounding it. The grille and bumper on the front of the 1960 used large pieces of heavy chrome, and the 'furrowed brows' of the fenders over the double sets of headlights gave the car a ponderous look. In common with most other 1960 Chrysler products, the Imperial featured the new "High-Tower" seat with the driver-side back individually contoured and raised above of the rest of the front seat for increased driver comfort and shoulder support. This would last through the 1962 model year. Also, for 1960, Imperial changed back to 15-inch diameter wheels from the 14-inch diameter wheels that had been standard since the 1957 model. Imperial LeBarons now featured a distinctive smaller "formal rear window" for greater rear seat privacy. Sales increased to 17,719. Imperial again finished ahead of Lincoln, but never did so again. While the rest of Chrysler's lineup adopted unibody construction, Imperial retained its body on frame construction. This 3-owner example is very clean. The original 413 Cubic inch motor and original automatic transmission are clean and in good running order, as stated by the current owner. The Maroon exterior and white leather interior give this car that real nostalgic feel. The owner states the car could use a charge on the AC system, and the dash lights and gauges are faulty. Options for this 1960 Chrysler Imperial Crown are: AC, AM Radio, Cruise Control, Steel Wheels w/Hub Caps, Power brakes, Power Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, Seat Belts, Leather interior, and Radial White Wall Tires. This 1960 Chrysler Imperial Crown is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812)294-1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. If you would like to see it in person, come to our Louisville Showroom located at 13576 Blue Lick Rd., Memphis, IN 47143.
