For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a very rare and unique 1937 Lincoln Zephyr. Finished in Bermuda Blue, a Dupont show series basecoat/clearcoat, this iconic Zephyr stands out from the crowd. Powering this 37' Zephyr is a 5.0L HO V8 engine that was donated from a 1986 Ford Mustang. The 5.0 V8 was bored 10/1000ths, the crank was polished, and the engine was reassembled with all new components including pistons, rings, bearings, valves, lifters, and injectors. All engine accessories AC condenser, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, crank pulley, and brackets were chromed and shine bright under the hood. Coated headers flow from the heads to the full exhaust and provide a nice growl out the back. The same 86' Mustang provided the AOD Ford automatic transmission, which was professionally rebuilt before being installed in the Zephyr. A Currie 9" rear end houses 3.50 gears and puts the power to the pavement. A 4 Bar AirRide suspension system provides the perfect stance, while Wilwood disc brakes stop this Lincoln on a dime. A power rack and pinion steering provides effortless maneuverability no matter the driving situation. The odometer reads 8,268, which represents the total mileage on the car since the build was complete in 2007. Options for this 1937 Lincoln Zephyr include: Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Driver's Seat, Leather Interior, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Keyless Entry, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This Zephyr build provides an iconic look with modern conveniences , and is ready to shine at your local show or cruise. Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. This GT-500 is 1 of only 5 that were ever created. Backed up with a MARTI report, this Shelby GT-500 has a dealer installed 427 side oiler. This rare Mustang had a complete rotisserie restoration completed on it and is as good as the day it drove off of the showroom floor! All of the stampings down to the Kelsey Hayes rims and steering wheel are correct for the era and is truly amazing to see a piece of automotive history preserved as well as this one has. The 427 side oiler has always been one of the most sought after of Ford engines for their high performance and racing pedigree. The Shelby GT-500 was the most powerful Mustang created in 1967 and was created in very limited quantities overall. This engine configuration from the factory was expected to make over 450 horsepower and the numbers were typically under rated. The look of the late sixties Mustang fastbacks are timeless. The swooping lines and sharp edges are unforgettable. This iconic American muscle car is not just a pretty face though. The car runs and drives very well and feels like endless amounts of power. As you drive along it is hard not to get caught up in the nostalgia while gripping the wood grain steering wheel and are looking into the faces of each Shelby gauge then looking to your right and seeing Carroll Shelby’s signature on the glove box is the icing on the cake! This piece of history is well documented and in superb shape. No matter if you plan on using at just a show piece or to drive occasionally you are surely to be the only one in your group with the same car. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-500 in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (303) 872-4722 or email us at Denver@gatewayclassiccars.com.

Our newest arrival at the Gateway Classic Cars Chicago, IL showroom is not for the average auto collector. At GCC, we embrace the enthusiasts that hold a devotion to big, beautiful cars from off the beaten path. When selecting American luxury, many have placed their votes with GM’s division of Cadillac, only to find themselves lost in a sea of trend followers. However, throughout the years, if you wanted to be taken seriously as a true individual with class, you rocked a Lincoln. Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, Frank Lloyd Wright, and countless US Presidents would all agree with this opinionated declaration. Take a long gaze at this gorgeous 1978 Lincoln Mark V. With an impeccably clean interior and exterior, this is a shining example of everything previously mentioned; Command, luxury, and innovation. This year of the Mark V was the very last that offered the iconic 460 CID big block as an option. Like many other Mark V’s, this one was custom-ordered by the original owner to include cruise control, power windows, power brakes, power steering, power mirrors, and even an 8-Track radio. It continued life with a second owner, and currently awaits a third under our roof here in Chicago. You can see this lovely Mark V in greater detail in our Chicago location or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or Chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

For sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom is a 1982 Lincoln Town Car. The 80’s would be the reveal of the all-new shared Lincoln Continental and Mark VI bodyshell was based upon the “Panther” platform utilized by Ford and Mercury. The new Panther platform allowed for advances in suspension geometry and many upgrades were made to the power steering. With the handling improvements and reduced overall size, the Town Car featured an improved ride coupled with better overall road manners. Compared to its GM counterparts and Lincoln predecessors, the new-generation Lincoln offered more agile maneuvering, as well as a reduced turn diameter by over 8 feet (compared to the 1979 Lincoln Continental). This 1982 Lincoln Town-Car was purchased in west Texas area in 82’, where it remained until approximately 2005. It was then brought to the DFW-area where it has resided ever since. This vehicle is a family owned 3-owner vehicle, which has been passed down through generations. Amazingly this vehicle has only 31,462 miles. It has plenty under the hood sporting a 302 – V8 engine with fuel injection.
