Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer one crazy machine: a 1923 Ford Model T Altered race car. It is race ready. All you need to do is roll is off of your trailer, start it, and go!
This is a track only drag car being sold with no title, on Bill of Sale only. This bad machine is built on a custom Chrome Moly chassis with a 125" wheelbase. This chassis has a 2015 NHRA certification. It sports a cast iron Chevy engine with 439 Cubic Inches. With Hilborn Stack injection and open headers it makes roughly 885 horsepower. HOLD ON TIGHT! The engine runs on alcohol which makes it a beast at the track. Backing the big block is a PowerGlide transmission with a 4,800 converter, trans brake, and trans cooler. Behind that is a Dana rear end with 4.56 gears. There's no question this was made to rocket down a drag strip. It has the safety items you'd expect, belts, a chute, and a cage, but other than that there isn't much to this machine. Just a big engine, a solid frame, and a driver with some real courage.

Engine: 302 CID V8Transmission: TH350 AutomaticMileage: 645 ( undocumented )
For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Chevrolet powered 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster. The 302 CID Chevrolet engine that powers this T-Bucket has a Weiand 144 blower, forged internals, ported and polished heads, Lunati valve train, and runs on 13 to 1 compression. A Shotgun Bill scoop sits on top of the engine creating a menacing look and also feeds the Edelbrock 850 CFM carburetor the necessary air it needs to do its job. This all amounts to a whopping 510 horsepower! The TH350 automatic transmission has a stage 2 shift kit and a 3200-3500 stall converter to help transfer the power to the built Chrysler 8 ¾ rear end with Auburn Posi-Traction and 3.73 gears. The PPG black paint is accented nicely with the red vinyl interior. A door on the passenger side allows for an easier entry and exit of the tub. This T sits on Weld Racing Rodlite wheels with some big fat bias-ply Mickey Thompsons on the back, and smaller Nexen radials up front. Disc brakes adorn all for corners, and coil over shocks are in the rear to provide as nice a ride as possible for this T-Bucket. The odometer reads 645, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete approximately 14 years ago. Options for this 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster include: Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Bias-Ply Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. T-Buckets have been a go-to for hot rodders for many many years. They are relatively easy to build, they can be amazingly fast, and the customization possibilities are endless. Engine: 4 Cylinder FlatheadTransmission: 2 Speed ManualMileage: 0 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1926 Ford Model T listed for sale. This complete frame up rebuild is turn key and ready to be enjoyed. This sharp Ford has been owned by the same owner for 30 years and claimed to be a 2-owner truck. After 90 years this original numbers matching engine and transmission are still trucking along. All new Ford parts have been installed on this truck with the exception of the frame, running gear, motor, transmission, wheels, and cab. The truck has recently been repainted black by Larry Hill and has been reassembled with mechanical work done by Charles Rosato. The black paint is matched with black leather interior, a black soft vinyl material, and black wheels. The style in the appearance is topped off by the wood bed and wooden steering wheel. This truck is perfect for someone who wants to own a piece of Ford history or even a beginner into the car show hobby. The fun part of the early automobile is the ability to manually adjust the timing and throttle right from the steering wheel. This truck is a manual controlled by the farthest left petal on the driver side floor board. The Model T was a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Its transmission was a planetary gear type billed as "three speed". In today's terms it would be considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds was reverse. The Model T had a front-mounted 177-cubic-inch (2.9 L) inline four-cylinder engine, producing 20 hp (15 kW), for a top speed of 40–45 mph (64–72 km/h). According to Ford Motor Company, the Model T had fuel economy on the order of 13–21 mpg US (16–25 mpg imp; 18–11 L/100 km). The engine was capable of running on gasoline, kerosene, or ethanol, although the decreasing cost of gasoline and the later introduction of Prohibition made ethanol an impractical fuel for most users. The engines of the first 2,447 units were cooled with water pumps; the engines of unit 2,448 and onward, with a few exceptions prior to around unit 2,500, were cooled by thermosiphon action. This truck has been rebuilt from the frame up and is ready to be cruised through the streets of your home town! Don’t miss out on a Model T truck that’s redone as nice as this one. This 1926 Ford Model T is up for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Engine: i4Transmission: 2-Speed ManualMileage: 0 ( undocumented )
Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this extremely cool 1926 Ford Model T. Between the extensive powertrain work and original sheet metal, this car is a clean example of a Model T. Under the hood of this American icon is a 2.9-liter inline four-cylinder engine that was good for roughly 20 horsepower when new. The engine is paired to a 2-speed planetary gear transmission and great for small town cruising. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt roughly 2,000 miles ago so there are plenty of miles left in the old beauty. The power that screams from this car is driven through the Ruxtell 2-speed rear axle and is stopped by the Rocky Mountain brakes. You may not compete against the Camaros, and Mustangs on the road but this very well may be one of the quicker Model T’s I’ve seen. Moving inward, the interior of this car is barren with no modern amenities or luxuries. When this car was produced, it was meant to be a cheap means of transportation for the masses with little to no focus on comfort or styling. The condition of the interior on this T is very good, and is no doubt aided in staying that way, because the car comes with with 100% accurate side curtains and tonneau cover. The exterior of this T is finished in black and green to keep a clean classic look. The paint is in very good condition and highlights the cars curves and style. Laying beneath the paint is the original sheet metal from when the car was new almost 100 years ago. Overall the condition of this T is very nice, and this would make an excellent weekend toy or parade car! Engine: 355 CID V8 w/671 BlowerTransmission: TH400Mileage: 15,000 ( since rebuilt )
This 1927 Ford Roadster is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This one off custom built roadster is a fire breathing asphalt shredding piece of art. The poliform 27 Ford body has had support pieces of metal throughout for a better fit and durability. The Aluminum hood was hand built with the vents in the side being precision cut and man does it look good. The steel running boards are sturdy enough to step on but why take a chance of messing up that beautiful paint. Sitting on a TCI engineering tube chassis the car is about as custom as they get. The narrowed 9 inch has a set of summer brothers axles and a 3.50:1 gear perfect for all around cruising. The JFZ disc brake setup on all 4 corners brings this monster to a crawl quickly. The paint on the 27 looks like glass with multiple coats of clear applied it almost like looking in a mirror. The red hand striped flames help to add some old school flavor and are almost a requirement on any hotrod with a blower sticking through the hood. That 6-71 Hampton Blower and manifold sits on top of the 355 small block that has been filled with forged parts. The Chet Herbert custom cam was made just for this beast with the gear drive being essential on an engine setup like this. The TH400 transmission handles the power nicely with them manual valve body allowing for crisp shifts when you feel necessary. If you want a car that looks great, has an over the top engine, and is a blast to drive this 27 Roadster checks all those boxes. Options on this 1927 Ford Roadster include, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Racing Tires.
