For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a low mile 1981 Lincoln MKVI. This Bill Blass Edition Lincoln has covered an original 25,788 miles and is on its second owner. This is "the little old lady car to church on Sundays." The condition of this low mileage gem is near new and drives like it too. It’s obvious that this one has been garaged and stored in the winter away from any winter roads. Equipment is plentiful as it should for a Lincoln. Power seats, Power windows with power smoker's vent window, Power locks, Cruise control, Tilt steering wheel and leather. Power comes from an exceptionally smooth 302 V8 and shifts through an automatic transmission. The Designer Series such as the Bill Blass Edition demanded a premium and was one of the most expensive cars built in America. The Bill Blass Edition was accompanied by three more Designer Series; The Cartier Designer Series, The Givenchy Designer Series and the Pucci Designer Series. They all came with their own color scheme and sold well. This new series began in 1980 and came to an end in 1983. The smaller Lincoln equipped with the fuel injected 302, was Lincoln’s answer to the gas crisis. A light weight with a smaller appetite was just what the doctor ordered. The outgoing heavy MK V was far heavier and equipped with a 460 or a 351 V8 making for a gas tank that you couldn’t keep full. This was a short run when compared to other Lincolns, making for fewer collectible examples on today’s market. This may be the best one available. Don’t miss out! For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for a closer look. To view HD photos and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com

1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 24,821 ( undocumented )

Our newest arrival at the Gateway Classic Cars Chicago, IL showroom is not for the average auto collector. At GCC, we embrace the enthusiasts that hold a devotion to big, beautiful cars from off the beaten path. When selecting American luxury, many have placed their votes with GM’s division of Cadillac, only to find themselves lost in a sea of trend followers. However, throughout the years, if you wanted to be taken seriously as a true individual with class, you rocked a Lincoln. Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, Frank Lloyd Wright, and countless US Presidents would all agree with this opinionated declaration. Take a long gaze at this gorgeous 1978 Lincoln Mark V. With an impeccably clean interior and exterior, this is a shining example of everything previously mentioned; Command, luxury, and innovation. This year of the Mark V was the very last that offered the iconic 460 CID big block as an option. Like many other Mark V’s, this one was custom-ordered by the original owner to include cruise control, power windows, power brakes, power steering, power mirrors, and even an 8-Track radio. It continued life with a second owner, and currently awaits a third under our roof here in Chicago. You can see this lovely Mark V in greater detail in our Chicago location or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or Chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

1979 Lincoln Town Car

1979 Lincoln Town Car

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 57,072 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this gold land yacht 1977 Lincoln Town Car. This car is show quality inside and out and ready to be enjoyed. This Gold Lincoln is an all original with numbers matching motor and transmission. This car is fun to drive and floats along as it cruises down the road. Only having 56k actual miles, there is plenty of life left in the car. The overall condition of the paint, interior, motor, and drivability is suburb. Options on this Town Car include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, power mirrors, upgraded cloth interior with Lincoln symbols and added style inserts, and even white wall tires. For 1975-1979, the exterior of the Lincoln Continental underwent a major revision. Although the body below the beltline saw only minor change (the taillights redesigned in the style of the Mark IV), the roofline was completely restyled. To separate itself from the Mark IV, the two-door Continental/Town Coupe adopted a fully pillared roofline with a square opera window in the C-pillar. In place of the pillared hardtop shared with the Mercury Marquis and Ford LTD, the four-door Continental/Town Car adopted a wide B-pillar; to distinguish itself from the Cadillac Sixty Special Brougham; Town Cars were given the oval opera window introduced on the Mark IV. Along with the styling upgrades, 1975 Lincolns received substantial upgrades to the braking system. Designed by Bendix,[57] the Lincoln Continental became one of the first American cars equipped with a 4-wheel disc brake system (as an option). To further improve the emissions performance of the 460 V8, the engine was fitted with catalytic converters, ending its compatibility with leaded regular gasoline. For 1979, the interior underwent further updating, as the Mercury-sourced dashboard received additional wood trim. The 460 V8 was deleted from the Lincoln/ Mark V model line entirely, leaving the 400 V8 as the sole engine. This Lincoln is perfect for a comfy daily driver or even a show car. This 1979 Lincoln Town car is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V

1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 80,805 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a handsome 1977 Lincoln Mark V. In the 1970s, a luxury car was all about presence. With gas costing just a few dimes per gallon, an expanding network of interstate highways, and a surviving obsession with cubic inches, this Lincoln is the epitome of 1970s American excess. With a body totaling nearly 20 feet long, and a hood about the size of a queen sized mattress, there is no shortage of... car. Pop that massive hood and you'll uncover a 460 CID V8 which is more than capable of pulling this land yacht down the highway in style and comfort. The transmission is of course and automatic, and power everything (nearly) leaves the driver in control, yet completely relaxed. This is the type of car you can steer with one finger. This particular Mark V sports a white exterior with a white landau top. The interior features white leather upholstery to match as well as some blue accent pieces for a little contrast. The car is in good surviving original condition and has only 80,773 showing on the odometer. The car runs and drive's nicely and would make a nice first collector car for someone, or a nice stylish daily driver which still has most of the modern creature comforts we've come to expect. You can see this lovely Mark V in greater detail in our Chicago location or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or Chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

1974 Lincoln Mark IV

1974 Lincoln Mark IV

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 30,007 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we have one 1974 Lincoln Mark IV, that you must see to believe. At first view this car looks like is was recently restored. But in this case, this is not true. The Lincoln remains in fantastic original condition. The paint has a thickness of around 40-95um, which confirms it was never repainted. Also, this will tell us something else. The body has never had any problems with corrosion. No rust holes filled up with body filler and covered up with a new coat of paint. This is the real deal here. A true survivor in excellent condition. The story tells that the car was home in Oregon until 2 years ago when it was sold to Florida. We here at Gateway Classic Cars in South Florida are thrilled that we have the honor to feature this car for sale now. The Germans have Mercedes Benz and BMW. The Americans call Cadillac and Lincoln their own. For generations the competition is on who builds more luxury and comfortable cars. After driving this Lincoln, the big question has been finally answered: USA – USA – USA!!! It is just a pleasure to drive down the road in Lincoln. The interior is extra clean, and it feels like you are sitting/driving on grandma’s sofa and the world is just passing by. The monstrous 460ci V8 engine has enough muscle to take you where you need to go. Fully loaded this Mark 4 is ready to go the extra mile. A great example of a 1974 Lincoln Mark4 and you probably won’t find another one like this. Especially in black on black. The odometer shows just over 30k miles and it is highly believed that this is the actual mileage. A great piece of American history that would look good in any car garage or collection. Don’t wait too long to call us. Clean cars like this won’t last long. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1974 Lincoln Mark 4, please visit gatewayclassiccars.com.
