For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a frame off restored 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. Powering this 69’ Chevelle is a recently rebuilt, 396 CID big block V8 engine with a Weiand aluminum intake, chrome air cleaner, alloy valve covers, and a mild cam. Headers flow to the full exhaust and creates an awesome growl. A 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter transfers the power to the 12-bolt rear end with authority. The dark green metallic paint is accented with gold racing stripes. The paint was applied in 2006, and looks fantastic, as it still shines like new. The black interior also looks great, minimal wear to the dash and console, and new upholstery. The period correct rally wheels are wrapped in raised white letter BF Goodrich radial tires, providing a perfect look to this build. The odometer reads, 26,554, while just 500 miles have been put on the engine since it was professionally rebuilt. Options for this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle include: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels. This is a great example of a 4-speed, big block powered 69’ Chevelle. The new owner will have a grin from ear to ear while ripping up the pavement at every stop light in town. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle

Engine: 396 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 457 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this incredible 1968 Chevelle Restomod. I’m not even sure where to begin. This car has undergone a complete restoration with some amazing custom features. Under the hood lies a 396 bored .030 over that is balanced and blueprinted. Internals are a Comp thumper cam with roller rockers and lifters, fired by an MSD ignition and topped with a Holley 750 and Edelbrock intake. Gas is fed through a Holley electric fuel pump. The entire car boasts a Painless wiring system too! The beast is backed by a Turbo 400 with Coan converter and 2800 stall handled with a B&M shifter. Power gets to the ground through a 12 bolt Posi and 3.73 gears. This car sounds nasty with Hooker headers and full length duals with electric cutouts that will set off car alarms in the distance! The wheels are 20” American Racing wrapped in Falken tires. Coil-overs on all four corners help this handle like a champ with tube A-arms up front and rear sway bar in the back. Helping it stop are 4 wheel disc brakes. The custom paint is a Sherwin-Williams and the previous chrome pieces have been given the matte and textured treatment from the same manufacturer. The many custom touches inside are a dash with Marshall Electric Gauges, center console, LED lighting, electric windows, touch screen stereo with Bluetooth, GPS and back-up camera. To attempt to drown out the noise Pioneer speakers a Kenwood Amp and subs will give it a go. This Chevelle was completely stripped down when she received her new paint. There is no paint on the trim, weather stripping or anywhere else there shouldn’t be. The blue paint with the black rally stripes is probably the most sought after exterior color that is out there. In combination with the white interior, this machine just looks right. The bucket seats, the center console and the SS gauges are all in the right place. Under the hood you will find a strong 396ci V8 that is connected to a 3 speed automatic transmission. 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle

Engine: V8 Big Block
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 51425 ( undocumented )

Gateway classic cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle listed for sale. This green machine can be heard from blocks away with its set up under the hood. Some lucky Joe out there is going to really enjoy this Chevelle screaming down the streets of his or her hometown. The original 396 that came in this Chevelle has been pulled and replaced with a 454 Big block with solid lifter cams. The whole suspension raises when you put your foot down just a tad on the accelerator of this beast. The 4.10 rear end and 700R Auto transmission is helpful with the performance combination in this car. The car has a recent paint job and looks great with its green and black stripe scheme. The 1969 Chevelle was billed as "America's most popular mid-size car." They showed only minor changes for 1969, led by revised front-end styling. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights (which became a familiar Chevrolet trademark with its concurrent light duty pickup trucks) with a revised front grille, now cast in ABS plastic, and a slotted bumper held the parking lights. Taillight lenses were larger and more vertical, flowing into the quarter panels. Front vent windows (hardtop and convertibles only) began to fade away now that Astro Ventilation (first introduced on the 1966 Buick Riviera which was used a year earlier on the Camaro and Caprice) was sending outside air into several Chevelle models. The Chevelle lineup slimmed down to Nomad, 300 Deluxe/Greenbrier, Malibu/Concours, and Concours Estate series, and the base 300 series was history. No longer a series of its own, the SS 396 turned into a $347.60 option package for any two-door model. That meant not just a convertible, sport coupe, or pickup, but even the pillared coupe and sport coupe in the lower-rent 300 Deluxe series (except the base 300 Deluxe El Camino pickup). Fewer SS396-optioned 300 Deluxe coupes and sport coupes were built than their Malibu counterparts and they are solid gold for collectors. To see 100+ HD pictures and videos of this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, please visit GatewayClassicCars.com. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Tampa showroom at (813)645-6200 or email us directly at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com.

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 396 L-89
Transmission: M21 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 11394 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing.
