Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is excited to offer a Candy Red 1968 Dodge Charger. 1968 was the first year for this iconic body style and it demands attention anywhere it goes. The long muscular body lines and unrelenting Mopar performance made these Chargers a true American tire shredder. Although there a few signs of age on the restoration, the metallic Candy Red paint has a beautiful shine perfect for any local car show. Complementing the exterior are the black vinyl top, R/T style chrome bumpers and square chrome dual exhaust tips. The black interior is clean and simple with bucket seats and chrome center console.

Originally a 318 car, this Charger has undergone a custom restoration with a transplanted 440ci engine mated to a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. While the engine and transmission are not numbers matching to the car itself, both the engine and transmission are a matching set. It comes with Edelbrock Aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor, chrome valve covers and breather. The upgraded front disc brakes behind the American Racing Torque Thrust wheels and SureGrip rear end will help make car show cruises a breeze.

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a rare 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T Convertible. Only 628 Coronet R/T convertibles were produced by Dodge in 1967. They were available with either a 440 Magnum V8 or a 426 Hemi V8 engine, they were equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission or a 3-speed automatic transmission (727 Torqueflite). The Hemi powered Coronet Convertibles being extremely rare, with a total of only 6 known to exist. This particular 67’ Coronet is an actual R/T convertible and was born with a 440 Magnum. The current 440 Magnum V8 powering this 67’ Coronet is not the original numbers matching engine, but it is period correct. A 727 Torqueflite transmission transfers the power to the rear end with ease. The trim tag indicates that Dark Red Metallic was the original color for this Coronet R/T, The car has been resprayed over the years, at one point it was believed to have been teal, but all is right with the world again, as it is back to the original color. The black vinyl interior features bucket seats, console, and console mounted shifter. The Mopar rally wheels are wrapped in raised white letter radial tires that provide an awesome stance and complete the classic muscle car look. With options like power steering, power brakes, and automatic power top this 67’ Coronet R/T Convertible is a must have for any Mopar enthusiasts. The odometer reads 45,009, but the actual mileage is unknown. BACKGROUND: The Coronet is an automobile that was marketed by Dodge as a full-size car in the 1950s, initially the division's highest trim line but, starting in 1955, the lowest trim line. From the 1965 to 1975 model years the name was on intermediate-sized models. A coronet is a small crown consisting of ornaments fixed on a metal ring. The Fifth Generation Coronet (1965 - 1970) reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body using a 117-inch wheelbase. Trim levels initially were base Coronet including a Deluxe version, Coronet 440 and Coronet 500. This particular Fifth Generation Dodge Coronet 440 has a very intriguing red exterior paint that can't help but to draw closer attention. Slide under this spotless E-Body and you'll find a solid chassis that's ready for the turntable. Satin Black paint highlights exceptionally clean floors that have been finished to better-than-new condition. Behind the Hemi, lives the original 4 speed manual transmission to the car that is tight and shifts like new. Helping transfer all of this excitement to the pavement are is the factory Dana rear end that houses a set of 3.54 gears. Stops come courtesy of correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. This 1970 Dodge Challenger was driven by Jack Nicholson in the 2007 movie, The Bucket List. This is not your run of the mill 1970 Dodge Challenger as its not an original car but a resto-mod created by famed muscle-car builder Ted Moser, who also built them for the Fast and Furious movie series. It’s powered by a late model 5.7-liter Hemi V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The whole package is brought to a halt by a set of Weldman disc brakes. After The Bucket List movie, the car appeared in a few TV roles, including on NCIS with Mark Harmon, and the 2010 movie, The Runaways. So, now you know where the cars been, but the best is yet to come. With less than 3000 miles on this build, the car has a ton of life left and is ready for someone to driver her. Gateway Classic Cars now has a very special and beautiful 1968 Dodge Dart GTS Convertible available in Houston! This one is powered by a numbers matching 340 CID V8 engine that goes through a factory TorqueFlite transmission. This engine has only covered less than 500 miles since the car was restored in 2013. Exterior is finished in a red with black top combination. Features include an AM radio, automatic convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, jack, seat belts, vinyl interior and radial tires. This is part of the fourth generation of Dodge Dart vehicles produced between 1967 and 1976. The Dart was substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. It received new styling, revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing. Redesigned K-members were added to accept the larger engines that Dodge had in mind for the car. In 1967 you would also notice the rear window with inverse curves, creating a new and unique appearance at the rear of a greenhouse, but designed to collect snow! The 170 CID I6 was dubbed simply “Dart”, with the 270 and GT carrying on mostly unchanged. In late 1967 the GTS came out in limited quantities due to it’s lateness, but the 1968 was arguably improved anyway, by fitting the new high-output 340 CID V8! That is the car that you are looking at here. The first of the 340 GTS cars. Aside from the engine, changes for 1968 were relatively subtle. The park and turn lights in the grille were moved slightly inboard and made round. Side marker lights were added to the front fenders and rear quarter panels, to comply with newly introduced Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. Shoulder harnesses (separate, this year and until 1973, from the lap belts) and non-glare matte finish on the windshield wiper arms were also part of the 1968 federally mandated safety package. Our Atlanta Showroom is proud to offer this 1966 Dodge Dart for sale. This 4 barrel 273ci V8 is mated to an automatic transmission. It has been upgraded to factory Dodge disc brakes an has the factory GT emblems. The 1966 Dart remained largely the same as the 1965 models with the same engine and transmission lineup. There was a special 273 offered, however, in the D/Dart, a special drag racing edition. Also, the ball and trunion front joint was replaced with a more common U-joint and the 904 transmissions were now shifted with linkages instead of cables. The only change to the suspension was an optional, small front sway bar. An effective facelift with more squared-off lines, a new rectangular grille, and rectangular headlight bezels was introduced. The intention of the facelift was to better mimic the new Charger. The special drag racing D/Dart was classed in the D/Stock class and featured a 273 with larger Holley carb, headers, hotter cam, and manual choke. It was only offered on two-door GT models. Options include: After Market AC, AM radio, Seat Belts, radial Tires, rally wheels. The only thing it is missing is you in the driver’s seat! Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger in Our Louisville Showroom. Over its original 13-year production run, the Dart earned a good reputation. The Dart was one of the most successful compact cars ever introduced in the American automobile marketplace. It enjoys a strong owner loyalty and is a car that has established a reputation for reliability and value. These little Darts also had a reputation for being fast when properly equipped. This Mopar Orange example has been properly equipped for speed. This Dart could almost be considered a sleeper, but the intimidating hood scoop and big/little Weld Racing Drag Lites give it away that this is just not another reliable or cost-effective Dart. As soon as the key is turned and the engine rumbles to life, you suddenly realize this Dart means business. Under the hood of this bright orange Dart is a built up 360 CID V8 engine. The engine has been bored .030 for a little extra displacement and to insure the rings are sealing for compression of the pistons. Feeding this healthy little 360 V8 is a Holley 750 cfm dual line carburetor. The sent gases exit through a new set of headers and exit through axle dumps. The rear end has been slightly narrowed so that meatier (wider) tires and wheels can be mounted for better traction. The rear end is a posi-traction unit and has been loaded with 4.10 gears. The white vinyl interior is still mostly factory original with only the addition of a Ratchet Shifter, a big Tachometer, water temperature and an oil pressure gauge.
