For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a unique 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. This 69 Camaro convertible is believed to be an actual RS/SS trim package, as it had all the correct parts and badging before the recently completed nut and bold restoration took place. The restorer decided to restore the car the way he would have ordered one in 1969. As you will soon learn, this one is loaded with the best of the best from 1969. To start things off, it is powered by an L-89 396. The L-89 is an aluminum head option for the L-78 396. The L-78 is the solid lifter 396 big block and the only way to make it better from the factory was to add the very rare L-89 option. This would drop roughly 75 pounds off the front end and aid in cooler operating temperatures. This engine was under rated from GM with an advertised 375 horsepower. Many sources claim true power to be well into the 400 range. Couple this power plant to a close ratio Muncie 4 speed with a 12 bolt rear end housing posi traction 3.31 gears and you've got a potent package. The 3.31:1 gears will allow for some fun around town but also allow easy cruising on the highway. Options are plentiful to say the least. Some of the more common options are here and include Power brakes, Power steering and a Power top. Some of less common options include Power windows, Tilt steering column, Rosewood steering wheel, a fold down rear seat, JL8 Four wheel disc brakes, under hood and trunk auxiliary lighting, front and rear bumper guards and spoilers, Chambered exhaust and a very rare yellow hounds tooth interior. What color would be best for a yellow hounds tooth, Daytona Yellow! What a nice combination with a black power top and SS wheels with new rubber. Other notable features are the late model IROC close ratio steering gear, Hotchkis suspension with adjustable shocks, Rally Sport and Super Sport packages and a modern AM/FM stereo system.

There's no question about the man hours or dollars put into this work of art. Almost all the sheet metal except for the firewall is new. Countless hours have been spent on bodywork and wet sanding for such a great result. The underside looks just as great as the topside and with 800 miles on the rotisserie nut and bolt restoration, it's broken in but still very fresh and certainly ready for enjoyment. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 7,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is pleased to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in our Houston showroom. Of special note, this is THE 1969 Camaro that Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove in the Goody's Headache Powders commercial, and comes with authentication (including Dale Jr.'s signature). One of the most iconic of the Pony Cars, the 1969 Camaro has developed a cult-like following. The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as Chevrolet's answer to combat the success of Ford's Mustang, which created a whole new vehicle segment, later dubbed "Pony Cars". For 1969, the Camaro received all-new sheet metal (except for the hood and trunk), which served to give the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant, and the headlights were given a new recessed position. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider and more aggressive look. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots were positioned ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. This car is presented in its original LeMans Blue paint (as depicted on the cowl tag), along with performance white stripe accents. Under the hood lurks a high-compression full roller 350 CID V8, built by Conroes Choice Automotive. It sports a pair of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads and FAST EFI TBI Fuel Injection sits atop the Edelbrock hi-rise aluminum manifold. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition system helps boost the spark, while coated headers suction the exhaust gases into a 2.5" dual exhaust system, and the performance mufflers give it that throaty muscle car sound that enthusiasts crave. The hi-po 350 sends the power to the rear via a built 700R4 4-speed automatic, which twists the 3.90:1 gears in its 10-bolt Posi rear end. In the event you find yourself spending too much time in the throttle, savoring the high RPM howl this 350 makes, the two-piece slotted and drilled Wilwood rotors and their accompanying multipiston calipers up front will help you get back to legal digits quickly. Inside this cool coupe is an Ivory bucket seat interior (also noted on the cowl tag), which seems practically new, as does the black carpet. An Equus tri-gauge cluster above the console helps keep the driver informed about critical operating systems, as well. The console features a period correct "staple" shifter, with an updated gear indicator bezel, alluding to the 4-speed transmission (with "D-3-2-1" positions, rather than the "D-2-1" of a 3-speed auto). Additional features on this 1969 Camaro for sale include Vintage-style AM/FM Radio with Aux port, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Engine: 434 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 703 ( since rebuilt )

The 1969 Camaro marked the last of the first generations and is arguably the most popular. It featured entirely new, more aggressive looking sheet metal and revised grille. Going away was the coke bottle shape, making room for a flatter, wider looking stance. The Camaro was available in many different configurations, from a standard Sport Coupe, a rubber melting Super Sport, or a track-ready Z/28. The SS was "The One with a Name Like the Hiss of a Snake." Big power, special 3-speed transmission, sport striping, heavy insulated hood. Hiding under the stock SS hood on this Hugger Orange beauty is a beast of a V8! Where a salty 350 once sat now resides a NEW 434 cubic inch Nye’s racing engine that starts out with a Dart little M block with all forged internals, solid roller comp cam #12-990-9. Topping off the power house is a set of AFR eliminator 220 cylinder heads that help bump the compression ratio to 13.1:1. Providing the spark needed is a DUI distributor that has been built specifically for this engine setup. Only 700 miles have been put on this engine so it has tons of life left and is just starting to come to life! No expense was spared on any aspect of the restoration of this car! Transferring the power to the rear of the car is the same 3-speed automatic that came in the car from the factory but the only part that hasn’t been upgraded is the exterior case of the transmission. The body and paint are excellent with an impressive panel fit. Making it truly a car that needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The black interior was definitely not overlooked during the restoration. When you are lucky enough sit behind the steering wheel you will notice the factory console gauges have been replaced with upgraded aftermarket gauges. The main reason for the upgrade is to have better accuracy while monitoring the vitals of the car. Helping get the power to the ground is the 12 bolt rear-end that houses a set of 4.10 gears. At all four corners there are Ralley wheels with new trim rings wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires. And last but not least this car comes with ALL of the original parts that have been upgraded or replaced during the restoration. This includes but is not limited to the numbers matching 350 V8, Air Conditioning setup, power steering as well as the 3.31 gears that were replaced wit the 4.10s. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute

Engine: 427 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 82 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas Fort Worth showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Tribute. Over the years, COPO has become synonymous with Chevy’s monster-displacement Camaros. It’s a term that is still used today by Chevrolet for the purpose-built drag racing Camaros, which are released year after year, just 69 units at a time. But what does COPO really mean? An acronym for “Central Office Production Order,” COPO was the method used by dealers in the know who could use it to order options, or a combination of options, that weren’t specifically listed on the order forms. The most famous use was when dealers used the COPO system to circumvent GM’s 400-cu-in limit on anything that wasn’t a full-size car or a Corvette. If you knew what dealers to go to and who to talk to, you could have used the COPO system to order a factory installed 427 in a 1969 Camaro or Chevelle. This COPO Tribute was done up right with a complete nut and bolt restoration. Completed in Oct 2016, 82 Miles have been put on the car since being completed. This car has all the right stuff, a new 427CID BBC Estimated at over 500hp, topped with super rare original L88 Winters Snowflake heads. This combo packs the punch you expect from big block in a small bodied car! This is one of the few know 1969 Camaro’s with cowl tag stamped “NBR” vs “NOR”. Correct Chambered exhaust, OEM Exhaust manifolds, Winters Intake, 850 Holley Carb, Cowl Induction, Solid Lifter Cam that provides an amazing old school sound. Complete body and drivetrain restoration, 12 bolt 4.10 Posi Rear end, disc brakes, M21 Muncie Trans, OEM style Polyglas tires on OEM color matched rims with dog dish hub caps. Nothing was spared on this restoration, with papers listing over 90k of work done. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Engine: 383 CID V8
Transmission: Muncie 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 8,481 ( since rebuilt )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. This Camaro SS has about 10,000 miles since the rebuild. It sports a 383 Muncie 4 speed to propel this restored street brawler in the front of the pack. The 3:54 rear gears are suited for driving between stop lights or down the highway. Vintage Mustang did the rebuild on this hugger orange bad boy. There is a stack of receipts with all the build details which will total over the asking price and that’s before the value of a car was added to the mix. You can be the one to gain the rewards of sweat, time, and funds. The 1969 Camaro carried over the previous year's drivetrain and major mechanical components, but all-new sheet metal, except the hood and trunk lid, gave the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" cant and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. This styling would serve for the 1969 model year only. Collectors often debate the merits of smooth, rounded lines of 1967 and 1968 model versus the heavily creased and sportier looks of the 1969. The 1969 model year was exceptionally long, extending into November 1969, due to manufacturing problem that delayed the introduction of the second generation model planned for 1970. It is a popular myth late-'69 Camaros were sold as 1970 models (due to GM publicity pictures of the '69 Camaro labeled as a 1970), but they were all assigned 1969 VIN codes. Options include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Custom Wheels, Vinyl interior, radial tires, seat belts. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833. For 1969, the Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with the heavy “V” cant and deeply inset headlights. The wheel wells were flattened with sculpted feature lines flowing off towards the rear of the car and rear-slanting simulated air slots ahead of the rear wheel. The front had a full width chrome bumper integrated with the body color grille surround and round parking lights positioned on either side of the license plate. At the rear were wider tail light bezels with triple segment lenses. The Z28 performance package was and still is perhaps the most special and iconic of all available on Camaros! It included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-Speed Muncie M-21 Manual transmission, power disc brakes, and two wide bold stripes down the hood and decklid. This styling is considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most desirable. When you lift the functional air breathing hood with reverse cowl scoop it reveals the 302 cubic inch V8 that punches out an “advertised” 290 horses to grip the asphalt. Mileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is an awesome 1972 Chevy Camaro. This well-equipped Camaro is wrapped in an Emerald Metallic and has a black interior with high back buckets that are plenty comfortable. At first glance, this nostalgic second gen Camaro has a menacing stance and the stout 350 CID V8 does an excellent job of moving this Camaro’s weight around. With only about 1000 miles on the 350 since it was built, it should have plenty of life left in it! This 350 comes with a mild performance cam, 4BBL carb, long tube headers, and tall Chevrolet-etched aluminum valve covers. Spark is enhanced by the MSD6AL ignition. To keep the healthy V8 in the cool zone, a big Champion Cooling Products aluminum radiator (with a built-in trans cooler) has been installed, along with twin electric fans. Fire it up, and the mighty mouse produces a throaty rumble through its Flowmaster-equipped dual exhaust. Backing the rumbling 350 is a 3-speed automatic transmission controlled by a staple shifter, and a set of SunPro gauges help the driver keep tabs on critical engine functions. Make your way into the cockpit, and you'll feel like you've been taken back in time. Black abounds, with black vinyl seats, carpet, door panels, and trim. Add in a modern stereo, A/C, power steering and power brakes, and you have yourself one comfortable ride, with muscle car performance. The 15" Rallye-style wheels have charcoal colored powder coating on the centers, with chrome beauty rings, and are wrapped in 235/60-R15 Cooper Cobra radials at all 4 corners.
