For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Butternut Yellow 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Convertible. The Butternut Yellow is a base coat/clear coat application. Prior to the paint was applied the body was taken down to bare metal and prepped correctly. The paint is 8 years old and still shines wonderfully. The white vinyl top is free from any rips or tears and goes up and down smoothly. The white vinyl interior is free from rips or tears but does show some age. Powering this 69’ Malibu Convertible is a 350 CID V8 engine with an Edelbrock carburetor and a chrome air filter. A TH-350 automatic transmission transfers the power to the 10-bolt rear end that houses 2.73 gears. Front and rear sway bars were added at some point along the way, and the rest of the suspension was recently gone through to create an awesome driving classic Chevrolet. The odometer reads 66,008, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle Convertible include: Vintage Heat and Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Automatic Convertible Top, Vinyl Interior, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and American Racing Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 396 L-89
Transmission: M21 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 11,394 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 396 CID V8
Transmission: 400 Turbo
Mileage: 4,023 ( since rebuilt )

Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this iconic 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. The iconic Chevrolet Chevelle was introduced in 1964 and was soon to become one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. In 1968, the Chevelle received newly sculpted sheet metal which included tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. This Chevelle looks absolutely stunning with its long hood and high rear quarter panels. This specific Chevelle left the factory as a 396CID car so its badges are true to its roots. Under the hood of this Chevelle rests a 396CID Big Block V8 which is for the most part in its original format. This 396 is equipped with original heads and Intake, Edelbrock Carburetor and a set of headers. Translating all of this power to the pavement is a Turbo400 Transmission that does an amazing job of putting the power down. The whole engine compartment has been fully painted and dressed in chrome for that show quality look and feel. This Chevelle sports a very shiny coat of Gold Metallic that makes this beast stand out from the rest. This Chevelle also has an Onyx Black interior with a floor mounted "Staple Shifter" and the very cool Rolling Tachometer option that was available for the Chevelle. This menacing Chevelle rests comfortably on a set of chrome Cragar wheels which are wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich radial tires. Every aspect of this Chevelle is completely impressive. If you are in the market for one of America's most iconic muscle cars, look no further. 1959 Chevrolet Corvette

1959 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 283 CID V8 270HP 2x4BL
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 60,200 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this gorgeous tuxedo black 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This stunning 2 top Vette has a beautiful red interior, a 270 hp 2x4 solid lift 283 with a 4-speed transmission and wide whitewalls with knockoff hubcaps. To the credit of all involved, the 1959 Corvette was “cleaned up” considerably. For one, the chrome “suspenders” were removed from the design, providing Corvette with a more swept back look that was synonymous with speed. For another, it was decided that the faux hood louvers would be eliminated, returning the Corvette to a semblance of its former self. While these features were key identifiers of the 1958 Corvette, there was no question that the elimination of the excessive chrome would reduce weight and help increase performance. Much like the exterior of the Corvette, the interior received minor, but significant updates as well. Both the door handles and the armrests were repositioned and a small-item storage compartment was added beneath the passenger side grab bar. In addition, both the driver and passenger seats were redesigned to offer increased lateral support of their occupants. All tachometers now indicated up to 7,000 rpm and offered redline and safe limit indicators. Sun visors were introduced to the 1959 Corvette as a new option and concave instrument lenses replaced the flat covers of the 1958 Corvette, thereby reducing sun glare (and other reflections) that might cause a driver to become distracted. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD photos and videos, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
