We are excited to offer for sale in our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom this Autumn Copper 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe.

The body of this 36’ Ford is all steel except the rear fenders, which are fiberglass. The Autumn Copper is a Nissan color, it was applied in 2013, and it looks amazing, so rich and deep. The beautiful white leather interior also looks fantastic and is accented by the white steering wheel and column, and white faced AutoMeter gauges. To keep the dash and interior looking clean and age appropriate, the AM/FM head unit was mounted behind the driver’s seat. There is a remote that controls the radio, so you do not have to stop the car to change anything radio related, i.e. volume or radio station.

Powering this awesome Ford is a 402 CID V8 engine with aluminum valve covers, a polished aluminum Edlebrock intake, and an Edelbrock carburetor. Headers flow from the engine to the FlowMaster mufflers combining for an excellent sound. An aluminum radiator with an electric fan helps keep this big block V8 cool on hot days, while the A/C keeps the passengers cool inside the cab. A TH-350 automatic transmission transfers the power to the 12-bolt rear end. For optimal steering and handling a Heidts Super Ride front end has been installed as well as power brakes, including disc up front. The odometer reads 4,571, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete. Options for this 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe include: AM/FM Radio CD Player, Leather Interior, Keyless Entry, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a high-end street rod, the fit and finish are outstanding, along with the paint and interior. This one will not disappoint and will shine proudly at any show or cruise the new owner wishes to attend.

Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,750 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston is this awesome 1936 Ford Special Deluxe. Finished in Green with a Gray interior, this vintage classic really looks the part. It is powered by a 1942 85hp 221 CID Ford V8 mated to a 2-speed transmission with reverse. The vehicle shows 2725 miles on the odometer, but it is unknown if this is actual or not. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting. The current owner has had it for about 3 years and has take very good care of it. It’s a road ready classic that would make a great starter classic or an awesome addition to anyone’s car collection. 1936 Ford Phaeton

1936 Ford Phaeton

Engine: 239 CID Flathead 8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 4,600 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this excellent 1936 Ford Pheaton. By the mid-1930s, fully open cars, the roadsters and phaetons, were losing out to convertible coupes and convertible sedans with roll-up side windows. Some manufactures, like General Motors, cut back on open styles altogether. Ford, however, kept a full line in production into the late 1930s. Even though the 1935 Ford Convertible Sedan had proved popular and the ’36 model even more so, leading to a mid-year version with enclosed luggage compartment, phaetons continued to do well, nearly matching the convertible sedans in popularity. This car has a newer restoration and is presented in Washington Blue and Tan LeBaron Bonney interior. This attractive body type combined modern (for the period) styling and V-8 performance. The engine is a 239-cid flathead V-8 (4600 miles since rebuilt) that is matched to a three-speed manual transmission. The phaeton has long, trim lines and seats six adults comfortably. Options include LeBaron Bonny interior, greyhound hood ornament, spare tire, hub caps, seat belts, vinyl interior, kill switch, wide white walls, and bias ply tires. Ford V-8s of the 1930s have been perennial favorites. This car demonstrates why this is so. 1936 Ford V-8 Deluxe Phaeton This 1936 Ford V-8 Phaeton is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1931 Ford Model A

1931 Ford Model A

Engine: Flathead 4
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,632 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. To view this 1931 Ford Model A in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
