For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1965 Chevrolet El Camino. This 65’ El Camino is finished in bright white exterior paint and features a turquoise vinyl interior. The turquoise interior is almost all new. The vinyl upholstery and carpet have been recently replaced, and look fantastic. The air conditioning works great, and keeps everyone cool on hot summer days. Providing the unique look and stance are the 20” chrome aluminum/alloy wheels, that resemble the awesome and iconic IROC-Z wheel design. A wheel designer simply took the wheel design and modernized it by enlarging and chroming them. It worked so well, people started putting the wheels on everything, not just Camaro IROC-Zs. Low profile radial tires provide an almost all wheel appearance, completing the custom look.

The odometer reads 80,301, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1965 Chevrolet El Camino include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Vinyl Interior, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This is a classic El Camino with a few modern features that combine for an awesome look and stance. This El Camino is ready for your local show and cruise. Engine: V-8 Small Block
Transmission: 3-Speed Auto
Mileage: 76,795 ( undocumented )

If you have been wanting a classic truck but your other half wants a classic car this El Camino is the best compromise and will make both of you happy for years to come. 1968 would be the first year if what many consider the best looking of all Chevelle’s. With a much rounder and sleeker shape, the new body style was an instant success. As with previous years the El Camino would be based on the Chevelle with the front end being that of the Chevelle. This example would make a terrific addition to any collection or even use as a daily driver. The paint and interior are new and show well with no signs of any major body work. Under the hood is a new Blueprint 355 cubic inch V8 which throws out 440 hp and 450 torque, mated to a new BMI built 350 turbo transmission. Putting power to the ground is a Richmond 12-bolt Posi rear end that has a set of 3:09 gears giving it a great mix of off the line acceleration and top end torque. Inside the leather Procar seats are comfortable and get you ready to feel all 400 of those horses. The wooden steering wheel is a nice touch and looks great inside the cab. 1960 Chevrolet Impala

1960 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 2-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,176 ( actual )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala! This is no ordinary Impala. This is a true survivor car. The 283 CID V8 engine is the original that was put in the car in the factory when it was being put together. Covering only 18,176 miles since it first drove off the showroom floor all those years ago. Amazingly, the paint on this car has the original undercoat on it! Even the original AM radio in the car works as it should. This is part of a two-model-year run for the second generation of the much-loved Impala. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase was 1-1/2 inches longer. Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower, bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side, and two slim-wide nonfunctional front air intake scoops were added just above the grille, The Impala became a separate series, adding a four-door hardtop and four-door sedan, to the two-door Sport Coupe and convertible. Sport Coupes featured a shortened roof line and wrap-over back window. Standard were front and rear armrests, an electric clock, dual sliding sun visors, and crank-operated front vent windows. A contoured hooded instrument panel held deep-set gauges. A six-way power seat was a new option, as was "Speed minder", for the driver to set a needle at a specific speed and a buzzer would sound if the pre-set was exceeded. The 1960 Impala models reinstated three round taillights on each side, and a white band running along the rear fenders. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at houston@gatewayclassiccars.com.
