Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom is proud to offer this striking 1936 Ford Pickup that has been restored on top of a 1978 Malibu frame.

Ford did not start using the slogan, 'Built Ford Tough' until 1978, but you can't tell by looking at the body on this 1936 Pickup Truck. Ford began its truck program back in 1908 with the Ford Model TT evolving into some of the most recognizable and beloved trucks the auto community has seen. While the 1930s were a decade of financial strain due to The Great Depression, Ford experienced remarkable success with their durable and cost-efficent trucks outselling Chevrolet in 1935 by nearly 300,000 units! This 1936 Ford Pickup is one such example that survived through the years and has been restored beautifully.

This 1936 Ford Pickup Truck has been in the same family for nearly two decades and comes with new Brakes, Battery, Body Cover, and a Tool Box installed into bed. Speaking of the bed, a plywood has been professional installed into the floor of it, and is covered with a clear sheet of plastic to protect it. The body has been painted black and exudes a nice shine with the exclusion of any scratches or dents. Powering this restored classic is a 305 CID V8 with an automatic TH 350 transmission. Built on the frame and powertrain of a 1978 Chevrolet Malibu, allows it to have that classic look, but a smooth ride. Here is a truck that can win your a few shows and be used for work.

1936 Ford Special Deluxe

Engine:
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2750 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this beautiful 1936 Ford Special Deluxe. Finished in Green with a Gray interior, this vintage classic really looks the part. It is powered by a 1942 85hp 221 CID Ford V8 mated to a 2-speed transmission with reverse. The vehicle shows 2725 miles on the odometer, but it is unknown if this is actual or not. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design. The look was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on Deluxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford's design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel "artillery" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. This car has been modernized and features conveniences like air conditioning, heating, AM/FM radio, spare tire, jack, functioning brake lights, working horn and a kill switch to preserve battery for times when the car may be sitting. The current owner has had it for about 3 years and has take very good care of it. It’s a road ready classic that would make a great starter classic or an awesome addition to anyone’s car collection. Don’t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. 1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe

1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Turbo 350
Mileage: 34796 ( undocumented )

This 1936 Ford 5 Window is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 36 Ford was an instant success for the Ford Motor Company with over 800k units sold that year. Still considered by many the best looking front end on any Ford they are a natural fit for a Street rod Build. This beauty has kept its natural lines and appears to be real Henry Ford Steel. One thing is certain the all metal body has slick burgundy paint, accented with some one of a kind hand pinstriping something that is hard to find in today’s world. Open the rear lid and you will be surprised to see not a trunk but a rumble seat allowing for a couple more passengers. The interior of the car was recently done in the 2-tone vinyl you see know which compliments the outside nicely. With the windshield still having the ability to roll out allowing for a great breeze when cruising. Even the pinstriping has been carried in to the inside with a nice design on the glove box which actually conceals the CD player. The bucket seats are comfortable while giving it that custom look. Under the hood is the go to price for any Street rodder, the small block 350 has plenty of power, durability and parts can be found pretty much anywhere. The billet dress up kit looks great and does not require the polishing of chrome. The TH350 transmission shifts out nicely with firm yet positive upshifts. The 10-bolt rear end has a set of highway gears that allow for a decent RPM when going down the road. If you have been wanting a clean real deal all steel Street rod that loves to be driven down the road this 36 5 Window should be at the top of that list. Options of this 1936 Ford 5 window include; AM/FM/CD, Vinyl Interior, Tilt Wheel, and Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires. 1937 Ford Tudor Roadster

1937 Ford Tudor Roadster

Engine: 5.3L LS V8
Transmission: 4L60E Automatic
Mileage: 312 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is an amazing 1937 Ford Roadster. Every item on this build was carefully planned out with purpose. Vibration cushions between the frame and body were installed to minimize vibration and noise and eliminated the need for a drive shaft tunnel. By eliminated the tunnel a lower seat height was achieved, which creates greater visibility for the driver and passenger through the windshield. Both the passenger compartment and trunk floors have been covered in Dynamat to reduce heat and reduce road noise. The powerplant comes from a 2009 5.3L Chevrolet LS V8 with an LS2 intake that has approximately 18,000 miles on it. The LS engine is mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission, which transfers the power to the Ford 8.8” rear end that houses 3.27 gears. This powertrain combination creates an excellent driving experience in any environment, while being incredibly reliable, and produces plenty of power to have fun with. An all new Mustang II front suspension setup is in place with powder coated upper and lower tubular control arms, new spindles, and power rack and pinion steering. The rear suspension features a triangulated 4-bar setup with TCI coil over shocks and springs. Power disc brakes adorn all four corners, providing maximum stopping power when needed. The gloss black exterior paint is a GM color by Dupont and looks fantastic. The light gold vinyl interior has a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The dash also features the vinyl upholstery and easy to read gauges in front of the steering wheel creating an uncluttered look. The odometer reads 312, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete. Options for this 1937 Ford Roadster include: Vintage Air Heat and Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Removable Hard Top, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. 1937 Ford Phaeton

1937 Ford Phaeton

Engine: Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 17947 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a classic 1937 Ford Pheaton. This 37’ Pheaton is powered by a Flathead V8 engine, which is believed to be original to the car, as is the 3 speed manual transmission that transfers the power to the pavement. This 37’ Ford Pheaton is finished in a dark blue exterior paint. The saddle brown leather interior creates a wonderful color combination against the dark blue paint and light brown cloth convertible top. The odometer reads 17,947, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1937 Ford Pheaton include: AM Radio (inoperable), Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, Hub Caps, and Wide White Wall Radial Tires. The Phaeton body style differs from a convertible in that it does not have a winding or sliding windows in the doors nor does it have a permanent, fixed roof. Due to the lack of a rigid or fixed roof, the Phaeton was much lighter than a convertible. The Phaeton body style was faded out after the convertible style became much more popular with its ability to be driven in all types of weather. The last Phaeton to be mass produced by an American manufacturer was the 1948 Willys-Overland Jeepster. This Ford Pheaton represents a factory style restoration, and would be a welcomed addition to any collection. It is a great car for a parade caravan or a nice leisurely stroll down a friendly street. 1936 Ford Humpback

1936 Ford Humpback

Engine: 221 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 207 ( since rebuilt )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a fully restored 1936 Ford Humpback. This two door sedan is powered by its original 221 Flathead V8 and shifts through a 3-speed manual transmission. Eight years ago the car underwent a full body off restoration to bring the car back to as it was in 1936. Originality was the key and the execution was spot on. All new brakes lines, exhaust system, bumpers and trim. It is still equipped with the original clock that winds up and keeps time. The interior is back to original and the car is also fitted with new wide white wall tires. There are only 207 miles on the car since the restoration and it still looks amazing. It's a true pleasure to see and drive a car that has been restored back to original specs. It's an easier task in most cases to turn an old car into a hot rod. With this car, you get an idea on what it was like to drive one of these when they were new. It's easy to appreciate the time and detail that goes into restoring this Humpback. Turn the key, pull the choke out a bit, adjust the throttle as you engage the starter and listen to that famous Flat head V8 come to life. Painted gloss black with gray cloth interior riding on wide white wall tires is as classic as it comes. 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Ford Mustang

Engine: 298 V6
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 32999 ( undocumented )

We have a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang here in our Milwaukee showroom. It is coated in a beautiful White paint with blue interior. It features a 289ci V8 with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, Power mirrors etc… This is an awesome car that runs great and looks fantastic! Several changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the "normal" 1965 model year in August 1964, about four months after its introduction. These cars are known as "late 65's". The engine lineup was changed, with a 200 cu in (3.3 L) "T-code" engine that produced 120 hp (89 kW; 122 PS). Production of the Fairlane's "F-code" 260 cu in (4.3 L) engine ceased when the 1964 model year ended. It was replaced with a new 200 hp (150 kW) "C-code" 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine with a two-barrel carburetor as the base V8. An "A-code" 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) four-barrel carbureted version was next in line, followed by the unchanged "Hi-Po" "K-code" 271 hp (202 kW; 275 PS) 289. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "GEN" or "ALT"). The Mustang GT version was introduced as the "GT Equipment Package" and included a V8 engine (most often the 225 hp (168 kW; 228 PS) 289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior the GT option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials (the gauges were not marked with numbers, however.) A four-barrel carbureted engine was now available with any body style. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from August 1964 production. The Mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, the Shelby Mustang was born, it was available only in newly introduced fastback body version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 Mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an AM radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The Interior Decor Group was popularly known as "Pony Interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqué accents, and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standard Falcon instrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was the Rally-Pac. Introduced in 1963 after Ford's success at that year's Monte Carlo Rally and available on other Ford and Mercury compacts and intermediates, the Rally-Pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. It was available as a factory ordered item for US$69.30. Installed by a dealer, the Rally-Pac cost US$75.95.A 14" rim option was available for Rally-pac and GT350R vehicles widening front and rear track to 57.5". Reproductions are presently available from any number of Mustang restoration parts sources. A compass, rear seat belts, A/C, and back-up lights were also optional. This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this 1965 Ford Mustang in greater detail including HD pictures and an HD video of it running and driving at Gatewayclassiccars.com. If you are interested in purchasing this vehicle or have more questions regarding it please call us at (262)-891-4253 or email us at Milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com.
