We are thrilled to offer at our Saint Louis Showroom this 1984 GMC Caballero Amarillo, which is all original - no restoration! It only had one owner who bought it brand new from Behlmann GMC Trucks in Florissant, Missouri and always kept it garaged and never drove it in snow or salt. The next owner of this emerging classic will inherit the Original Owner's Brochure, Window Sticker, and Owner's Manual.

Nearly three decades are their sister company, Chevrolet, started producing the El Camino, GMC came out with a rear-wheel-drive coupe utility/pick up called the Sprint, which in 1978 was renamed Caballero for the 1978. 1987 was the final production year of the Caballero. This particular Amarillo trim was originally called Laredo and was the luxury trimline of this coupe utility truck.

There are a tremendous number of things to value about his 1984 GMC Caballero Amarillo, including the original miles, the cleanliness and very well maintained condition of the interior, and the surprisingly great condition of the exterior paint. It's like someone jumped into their time machine and went back to 1986 and found this Caballero on a GMC used car lot and brought it back to present day.

Features of this 1984 GMC Caballero Amarillo include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Cassette Player, Spare Tire, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, White Wall Tires, Radial Tires, and Rally Wheels.

1983 GMC Caballero

1983 GMC Caballero

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Other
Mileage: 5,000 ( since rebuilt )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this classy 1983 GMC Caballero. It’s often forgotten that GMC made their own version of the well-known El Camino made by Chevrolet. The vehicle was originally names the GMC Sprint but that was changed back in ’78 to the Caballero and it remained in production until 1987. This Caballero is powered by a strong running 350 CID V8 that will push you down the road with ease. The engine is mated to a 3-speed Automatic transmission which both were rebuilt roughly 11 years ago. It may be an older rebuild however the car has only been driven an estimated 5,000 miles since the rebuild, meaning there is plenty of life left in this beauty. The true key to this classic is that it’s a 1 owner car with a clean Carfax. The car is painted in a sleek black and silver color combo that shows very well. The car also features a very nice spray-in bed liner to make for a nice work vehicle if it’s ever needed. This Caballero has all the benefits of both a car and a truck all in one. It’s light weight, fast and looks great while at the same time can be used for a quick trip to Home Depot or Lowes. Taking a seat behind the wheel you will find a matching black on silver color combination making this car truly show worthy. You may notice the empty space for a stereo, but this is simply due to the owner enjoying the sound of the car more. When driving a classic that’s all that there should be, you, the car, and the road. No need to worry because the A/C was left in place and blows nice and cold for those hot summer days. For even more information on this 1983 GMC Caballero located in our Houston showroom come by and see us or contact the showroom at (832)243-6220 or email the showroom at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this gorgeous dark blue 1992 GMC 1500 for sale in Our Louisville Showroom. Early 90’s GMC/Chevy trucks are starting to come into their own niche as people look to relive their glory days in a rear wheel drive vehicle and customize them into something super cool. The 383 V8 is loaded with the good stuff such as an Eagle Rotating Assembly, Probe pistons, a Comp Cams solid roller cam and lifters. Insuring this 383 gets plenty of air is a set of Profiler aluminum heads with 220 cc runners, large intake (2.10) and exhaust (1.60) valve. An Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminum intake with a Quick Fuel 750 cfm carburetor finishes off this combo. This healthy 383 CID V8 has been mated to Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed transmission. The transmission has been rebuilt with a hardened sprag, a shift kit and a TCI convertor. The rear end consists of a spool with 4.56 gears. 1988 GMC S15 Convertible

1988 GMC S15 Convertible

Engine: 2.5L Inline 4
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual w/OD
Mileage: 40,633 ( actual )

This custom 1988 GMC S15 is available in our Louisville KY showroom. The S15 was GMC’s version of the S10 which was a light truck that sold very well from 1983 to 1990. Many of these trucks were used as platforms in the mini truck world, a term used for lowered customized light trucks popular in the early 90’s. This example is a one owner low mileage truck that had a ton of custom work done over the years. Stat with the body and paint, the custom front end gives it a sporty style while making it appear even lower. The paint on the truck is custom and typical of what you would see done in that era. The top was cut off making this little s15 a convertible with its removable hardtop. The wheels on the truck are Dayton’s, the original spoke wheel used on many low riders. The gold spokes are clean and with these being true knock off’s that spinner is not just for looks. Under the custom louvered hood, the original engine still runs great and with it being the 2.5 liter does great on gas. The manual transmission shifts out great with the clutch still having a great feel. Inside the interior has been customized as well with the bucket seats having a velour material making them soft to the touch. The white Grant steering wheel is a great touch with the full size panoramic rear-view mirror really putting an exclamation point on the build. Options on this 1988 GMC S15 include, AM/FM Radio, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel, and Knock Off Wire Dayton’s with Radial Tires. This 1988 GMC S15 Convertible is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1953 GMC 5 Window Deluxe

1953 GMC 5 Window Deluxe

Engine: 261 Inline Straight Six
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,743 ( actual )

We are excited to offer this very-well restored silver and dark cherry 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe for sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Showroom in Saint Louis. This classic pick-up truck doesn't need any work. It is ready to enjoy today and priced to sell immediately. BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1920, GMC and Chevrolet trucks became largely similar, built as variants of the same platform, sharing much the same body sheet-work, except for nameplates and grilles – though their differences, especially engines, have varied over the years. GMC advertising marketed its trucks to commercial buyers and businesses, whereas the Chevy's targeted private ownership. From 1939 to 1974 GMC had its own line of six-cylinder engines, first the inline sixes known as "Jimmy's" from 1939–1959 (source: Wikipedia). This particular GMC truck has an easy to start and fun to drive 261 Inline Straight Six. It is still being driven by a 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a powered by "you" steering and braking and only 1,743 miles after the rebuild. The current owner is its second post-rebuild. One of the best reasons to be interested in this 1953 GMC Truck is how unique this color scheme is. The exterior body has been painted in a satin gloss non-metallic silver that has maintained very good quality. The running boards fitted tight to the body and can withstand the pressure of body weight climbing in the truck. The dark cherrywood floor boards in the bed are in excellent condition and are a very attractive and distinguishing feature. The interior leather seats make the floor-boards and against the silver truck provide a striking and unique color combination. There are no tears, stains, or odors in the exterior. In short, you have every reason to inquire further about this 1953 GMC 5-Window Deluxe by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For even more information, please call 618-271-3000 or email STL@GatewayClassicCars.com to speak with one of our knowledgeable sales consultants.
