BACKGROUND: The Coronet is an automobile that was marketed by Dodge as a full-size car in the 1950s, initially the division's highest trim line but, starting in 1955, the lowest trim line. From the 1965 to 1975 model years the name was on intermediate-sized models. A coronet is a small crown consisting of ornaments fixed on a metal ring. The Fifth Generation Coronet (1965 - 1970) reappeared for the 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body using a 117-inch wheelbase. Trim levels initially were base Coronet including a Deluxe version, Coronet 440 and Coronet 500.

This particular Fifth Generation Dodge Coronet 440 has a very intriguing red exterior paint that can't help but to draw closer attention. There are not any noticeable scratches, dents, or rust on the exterior of the body. The interior is built for fun, with racing seats, working gauges, and a convertible top that opens and closes smooth and tight.

Updated specs this 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 include: Ported and Polished Heads (5.5 valves), Dugs headers, Exhaust Jet Hot Coated, Borla S.S. Mufflers, 727 Torqueflite, Cheetah Reverse Manual Valve Body, B&M Cable Shifter, BDS 671 Super Charger, Linkage, & Fuel Lines, Holly Blower Carbs, Denny Drive Shaft, Jacobs Computerized Ignition & Ultra Coil & Boost Control, Competition Engineering 4 Link & Subframe, Koni Al Shocks & Chrome Coil Overs, 8 3/4 Posi with 4:56 Gears Narrowed 10 Inch. Hoosier Radials 28 x 18, Weld Pro Star Rims, Holley Fuel Pumps, and All Braided Steel Lines & Fillings.

1970 Dodge Challenger

1970 Dodge Challenger

Engine: 440 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,878 ( since rebuilt )

Through the years of fans and enthusiasts, certain automotive terminology tends to build its own appeal. For example, in most gearheads' minds the term "Plum Crazy" recalls one of Chrysler's most creative and confident eras. "R/T", short for Road/Track, invokes visions of muscle cars prowling small town streets. "Dana 60" or "Scat Pak" incites visions of late-night stoplight brawls and octane-fueled quarter-miles. And who could forget "Hemi", the incredible V8 that led Chrysler through an era of epic performance. If you are looking for first class Mopar muscle then look no further than this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack car sporting the iconic Plum Crazy purple paint on the exterior with black vinyl top. Being 1 of only 847 Challengers in 1970 to have the 440 Six Pack mated to a 4 speed manual adds even more excitement to owning this classic piece of American muscle. Given its resurgence in popularity, no doubt aided by the current LC-based version, the Challenger is considered by some to be the quintessential American muscle car: a status that naturally invokes an aggressive and exciting aesthetic. At the front of this Challenger, a 1970-exclusive grille hangs an unmistakable "Challenger R/T" badge between pristine headlights, amber parking lamps and a mirrored bumper. Behind that grille, a pinned, Hemi-branded hood props bold "D O D G E" lettering in front of clean glass that is framed in correct stainless and capped by correct vinyl. At the sides of that hood, a sculpted profile hangs correct R/T stripes amid fresh rocker trim, flush door handles, a correct mirror and ornate ""Challenger"" scripts. And at the back of the car, a stainless-trimmed valence centers body-width taillights and more ""D O D G E"" lettering between a second ""Challenger R/T"" badge, a second mirrored bumper and correct, quad-outlet exhaust tips. Open this coupe's light hood and you'll find the legendary, 440 cubic inch Hemi that, while not original to the car, is a date-correct piece that has been professionally rebuilt and maintained to keep it’s nostaligic looks and performance. All of the 390 horses reside in a glossy Hemi Orange block. And exhaust is handled by correct, low-restriction exhaust manifolds that feed an H-shaped crossover. Slide under this spotless E-Body and you'll find a solid chassis that's ready for the turntable. Satin Black paint highlights exceptionally clean floors that have been finished to better-than-new condition. Behind the Hemi, lives the original 4 speed manual transmission to the car that is tight and shifts like new. Helping transfer all of this excitement to the pavement are is the factory Dana rear end that houses a set of 3.54 gears. Stops come courtesy of correct power front disc and rear drum brakes. And all this Mopar goodness rolls on stylish Rallye Wheels, which twist radial tires with raised white lettering around polished trim rings and silver center caps. Peak your head in the window of this car and you'll find a correct Black interior that's functional, straightforward and very comfortable. The front bucket and rear bench seats are wrapped in pliable vinyl covers that display hardly any signs of wear. Below those seats, stain-free carpet floats Challenger-themed mats at the sides of a correct, wood-trimmed console and cool Pistol Grip Shifter. The wood-trimmed dash seats correct Rallye gauges and has been painstakingly restored to its original glory. In front of the driver, a correct steering wheel mixes subtle form with major function. And behind the passengers, a nicely finished trunk centers a correct jack and space saver spare tire between a correct mat and new decklid decal. 1970 Dodge Challenger

Engine: 440 V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 94,483 ( actual )

This good looking 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is for sale in our Indianapolis showroom of Gateway Classic Cars. The data tag confirms this Challenger is a true R/T equipped with a 440 V8 390 HP 3-2BBL Carburetor (six-pack) set-up. The owner does not believe this to be the original 440 V8, but it is period correct to the car. The Yellow is not the original color to the car. Originally the color of this was Dark Burnt Orange Metallic with a white vinyl top. We think the yellow exterior and black vinyl top. The interior decodes as vinyl high back bucket seats, but it does not designate the color. The current owner is not completely sure about the rear end, but it originally came with a Super Performance Axle package with 4.10 gears. The complete breakdown of the data tag is available upon request. Overall, this Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack is in very good condition. With the recent work done to the Challenger, it will bring the fun factor. You may want to set aside a little cash as this car is very capable of melting the rear tires. 1947 Dodge WD21

1947 Dodge WD21

Engine: Flathead 6
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 45,309 ( actual )

For sale in our Detroit Showroom is this very unique 1947 Dodge WD-21 truck. Since the beginning of Dodge they have offered light truck models, for the first few years the trucks were built on the platforms of their existing vehicles but soon were produced on their own chassis with their own body designs. Light and medium duty models were only available at first, then a heavy duty lineup was added during the 1930’s and 1940’s. This 1947 Dodge is a medium duty truck produced on the 133 inch wheelbase platform with a very dependable drivetrain starting up front with the 230 cubic inch inline 6 engine. These inline 6 cylinders might not have a ton of horse power, but they were definitely built to last. Following up the engine is the 3 – speed manual transmission that shifts flawlessly and makes this WD-21 a real fun truck to drive. This 1947 Dodge has been restored even though there is just 45,309 actual miles on the truck. The restoration has given the truck a stunning look with the fresh coat of Blue and Black paint and the wood panel bed were given extra care with the finish to make the wood look as if it were still back in the 1940’s. With such low mileage this truck runs and drives beautifully and with nothing more than just regular maintenance will remain this way for many years to come. This Dodge truck will make a great addition to anyone’s truck collection and is a great cruiser having plenty of both passenger and cargo space.
