This beautiful second-generation 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle is now available for purchase at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom.
BACKGROUND: The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile which was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1977 model years. Part of the General Motors (GM) A-Body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. The 1969 Chevelle was billed as "America's most popular mid-size car." They showed only minor changes for 1969, led by revised front-end styling. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights (which became a familiar Chevrolet trademark with its concurrent light-duty pickup trucks) with a revised front grille, now cast in ABS plastic, and a slotted bumper held the parking lights. Taillight lenses were larger and more vertical, flowing into the quarter panels. (Source: Wikipedia)
This particular 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle has been owned by the same person for the past twelve years and it was during that stewardship that this classic enjoyed a frame-off restoration, which was done by Evans Classic Car Restorations in Arnold Missouri. The restoration work included powder coating the frame and suspension, Baer brakes - four-wheel discs, rebuilt 396 engine, Posi-traction rear end, Munci transmission, aluminum radiator, 3" 5.5 exhaust, Doug’s headers, custom seat covers, Dakota digital gauges, Hotchkis sport suspension, and all new glass.
There is nothing to dislike about the presentation or dive of this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. It has a show car quality finish for its interior and exterior and the girl just runs like a champ. Look at the pictures - watch the video - listen to the motor! Am I lying? You still don't believe? Well, come to see it for yourself or call us and talk to inquire further about this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle by viewing it in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video of the car running and driving at our website - http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/STL/7868/.

This pavement-wrinkler received a comprehensive ground up restoration that was completed in 2011. It has been thoroughly drenched in a gorgeous Tuxedo Black base/clear coat paint job, offset by red Super Sport stripes. All-new exterior chrome and trim provide plenty of sparkle to go with its menacing black/red combo. Its functional cowl induction hood lets you know this Chevelle means business. Engine: 396 L-89 Transmission: M21 4-Speed ManualMileage: 11,394 ( undocumented )
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this iconic 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. This specific Chevelle makes an awesome driver with many modern features that make it a blast to drive, even if you plan on taking long cruises. This 454 is equipped with original heads a Wieand Intake, Holley Carburetor and a set of stainless headers that give that nice muscle car rumble you’re looking for. Translating all of this power to the pavement is a Turbo400 Transmission that does an amazing job of putting the power down. With a frame off restoration done in late 2013 this 69 is as clean as any I have seen. The red paint is slick and shines like it was just finished yesterday. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this awesome tribute to one of the true American muscle cars, the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Yenko SC. Bathed in its original shade of Hugger Orange (color code 72), this Yenko Tribute has been assembled to mirror a Chevrolet COPO 9737 option "Yenko Sports Cars" build (of which only 99 were manufactured in 1969); but this one has some very desirable modern enhancements. With only 400 miles on it since the engine build was completed, this beast is powered by a professionally-built and balanced 427 CID big block V8, complete with 840 rectangular port heads, and a Comp Cams roller cam (11-602-13) with roller lifters and rockers. Electronic ignition fires off the go-juice supplied by the brand-new Holley HP Electronic Fuel Injection, so this beast is daily-driver capable, thanks to the tractability provided by its fully-tunable modern fuel injection system. A new 4 core radiator helps keep engine temps in check while coated Hedman headers direct the spent fossils through its custom dual exhaust system, adding to the deep rumble of this cammed big block, and making this Yenko Tribute for sale sound as nasty as it looks. Coupled to a Muncie 4 speed manual with Hurst shifter, this baby gets the power to the ground NOW. Hooking up is no problem, thanks to the beefy 315/35-ZR17 Nitto 555 radials out back. Inside, the factory gauges keep the driver informed during cockpit operations, and a custom stereo system with AM/FM/CD player and Bluetooth send the tunes pumping out through custom kick panel and parcel shelf speakers, which are further enhanced by the trunk-mounted subwoofer. Bucket seats up front and a rear bench seat give you the chance to take the whole family out to car meets, or run a crew to the racetrack. On the way, the Vintage Air A/C keeps the occupants' climate comfortable, and the newly-rebuilt front suspension, complete with coil-over shocks keep all four tires' contact patches square to the pavement. Other additional features and options on this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale include A/C, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, AM/FM/CD Radio with Bluetooth, new Floor Mats, a new Fuel Tank, Performance Radial Tires, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, a new Serpentine Belt accessory drive system, and Vinyl Interior. This well-equipped Camaro is wrapped in an Emerald Metallic and has a black interior with high back buckets that are plenty comfortable. At first glance, this nostalgic second gen Camaro has a menacing stance and the stout 350 CID V8 does an excellent job of moving this Camaro’s weight around. With only about 1000 miles on the 350 since it was built, it should have plenty of life left in it! This 350 comes with a mild performance cam, 4BBL carb, long tube headers, and tall Chevrolet-etched aluminum valve covers. Spark is enhanced by the MSD6AL ignition. To keep the healthy V8 in the cool zone, a big Champion Cooling Products aluminum radiator (with a built-in trans cooler) has been installed, along with twin electric fans. Fire it up, and the mighty mouse produces a throaty rumble through its Flowmaster-equipped dual exhaust. Backing the rumbling 350 is a 3-speed automatic transmission controlled by a staple shifter, and a set of SunPro gauges help the driver keep tabs on critical engine functions. Make your way into the cockpit, and you'll feel like you've been taken back in time. Black abounds, with black vinyl seats, carpet, door panels, and trim. Add in a modern stereo, A/C, power steering and power brakes, and you have yourself one comfortable ride, with muscle car performance. The 15" Rallye-style wheels have charcoal colored powder coating on the centers, with chrome beauty rings, and are wrapped in 235/60-R15 Cooper Cobra radials at all 4 corners. Options on this 1972 Chevrolet Camaro include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Radio with Aux connector for MP3 capability, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Seating. Whether you're looking for a weekend cruiser, a Gen 2 Camaro aficionado, or simply want another toy for your collection, this 1972 Camaro is for you.
