We are excited to present to you this beautiful red 1939 Ford Coupe, which comes with a hard and soft-top. It is located on the Showroom floor of Gateway Classic Cars in Saint Louis.

BACKGROUND: Ford modernized their coupe in 1939 with a low pointed grille that sported heavier vertical slats. The headlights were moved farther apart than the 1939 to almost in front of the wheels. The side grilles and louvers were removed in favor of chrome strips on Deluxe models. The "alligator" hood opened deep from the top of the grille back, eliminating the side panels found on previous models.

Some of the unique modern upgrades to this particular 1939 Ford Coupe includes all corvette running gear, LT-1 motor, 700R Transmission, four-wheel disc (power-assisted brakes) brakes, power steering, electric windows, electric doors, electric trunk, independent rear-wheel suspension, all leather interior, compact disc player, and a 400-watt stereo. Recently it has had a four-wheel alignment performed, front lower ball joint replaced, and a new fuel pump installed.

As you can see for yourself in the video and photos, this is a show car quality restoration. The red painted exterior does not show any noticeable scratches, dents or imperfections other than some minor exposure of the fiberglass under the front passenger wheel-well. Similarly, the tan leather interior also lacks any noticeable tears, stains, fading, or odors. Everything about this 1939 Ford Couple screams high-quality and is a definite head-tuner that is instantly ready to be your frequent driver and/or trophy car.

Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 46,210 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Nashville showroom is one smoking hot 1946 Ford Coupe. When this car hit the market in 1946 it was the best of both worlds, a little sporty, but could seat the whole family, however it wasn’t going to outrun the law. Up until the late 1990’s the original owner had this car which over time turned into any moonshiner’s dream. The car was hopped up with a strong V8 small block Chevrolet backed by a turbo-350 transmission this is a peppy little car that would have had an easy time out running Johnny law in the early 1950’s. The suspension has been beefed up with aftermarket shocks, and the interior was swapped out with something a little newer. Wearing hot rod red, there wouldn’t be much blending in so fast was the way they’d get the job done. Slide behind the steering wheel and you can see for yourself a view not too dissimilar than that of the moonshiners that participated in the very first NASCAR races in 1948. Now… did this car ever make a shine run? Maybe, maybe not… but who’s to say? Options include:AM/FM, Cassette, wire wheels, Power steering, Power Brakes, Cloth custom interior, and Radial Tires. 1940 Ford Coupe

1940 Ford Coupe

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 14,476 ( undocumented )

Now available in our Dallas- Ft Worth-Showroom is this custom 1940 Ford Coupe. This coupe has an all steel body and is ready to steal the show for whomever is the new owner! Now to some, it’s taboo to place a Chevy engine in a Ford-body, however, the builder of this custom-rod didn’t think that way. They were worried about one thing and one thing only… POWER! Which this vehicle has plenty of, in the way of a 454 Chevy motor (the valve covers say 502, but it’s a 454). Worried about it being too powerful, going too fast? I didn’t think so, but just in case you were, have no worries as this vehicle is equipped with front disc-brakes and a rear-drum braking system too. When this vehicle does finally slow down and come to a halt, you can then take notice of the fabulous 20’s in the back 19’s in the front Skop chrome wheels. Which are covered by 31x13 rear and 26x6 front Mickey Thompson tires, one of the most famous names amongst hot-rodder’s tongues. Finally, you’ll never be to hot, in this hot-rod, as it comes with an already installed vintage air system, keeping you nice and cool as you breeze down the road. Other options include: Power windows, Tilt wheel, Sony, Am/Fm-Radio with CD-player, Automatic transmission with a BTM pro-stick-shifter, and a remote to open both the doors and the trunk! To view this in 1940 Ford coupe in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1932 Ford Coupe

1932 Ford Coupe

Engine: 283 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,247 ( since rebuilt )

We are trilled to offer for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1932 Ford 3 window Deuce Coupe. This hot rod was very carefully built to be as accurate as possible to a hot rod from back int he good ole days, 1957 specifically. Going with the 1957 hot rod theme, the car is powered by a period correct Corvette 283. The stout 283 is backed by a 1939 Ford 3 speed manual transmission and a 1940 Ford rear end housing 4.10 gears. The frame is an original 1932 as is the metal gas tank and radiator shell. The body is from Outlaw and features an original firewall appearance. Topping the 283 is an original 1947 Cadillac air cleaner. The exhaust has been Jet Coated in black from the manifolds all the way back to the exhaust tips. The build looks as if the car was sent to us from the past via a time machine. Painted in a high gloss black with the red frame exposed and matched by the red steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and white wall tires(radials). The exposed engine bay also adds to the vintage hot rod theme. Don't be confused with builds of today. This one is no frills and all thrills. No A/C or power steering, this is a hot rod! It is also a proven show winner. It took Street Rodder Top 10 at Goodguys and received the Magnum Axle/ Real Hot Rod award from Goodguys. There's no question that the intended vintage hot rod theme was executed with precision. License plates shown on the car are not included. 1931 Ford Model A

1931 Ford Model A

Engine: Flathead 4
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,632 ( undocumented )

For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. To view this 1931 Ford Model A in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our St. Louis Showroom.
