This beautiful 'bird from a long-ago era known as the "Jet Age" definitely makes a statement, whether it's sitting still or in motion. A recent recipient of a full frame-off restoration that took nearly three years, nothing on this Black Beauty has been overlooked. Starting with the body, a true Sports Roadster was purchased to start the project that had no rust. It was professionally disassembled, media blasted and straightened, primed, painted, and color-sanded with high-quality PPG products. All of the exterior trim, bumpers, grille, taillight housings, etc. have been sent out for refurbishment to like-new condition. The entire drivetrain was sent out to the most qualified professionals to get everything done right. The engine has been up-graded with Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake, and carburetor. It now produces in excess of 400 HP! Many of the underhood components have taken a trip through the chrome shop and really make the engine pop. Underneath the car, where really nobody looks (but critical) to the functionality, comfort, and safety of driving this Ford classic wherever you may want to go. All major systems, including, front suspension, rear suspension, U-joints, braking system, and exhaust system are fully rebuilt. The interior has new seat covers, new seat foam, new carpet, a new black convertible top, and everything else has been perfectly restored. The car has manual windows, an AM radio that's been converted to AM/FM/Bluetooth, tilt-a-way steering column, power brakes, a fully functional clock, and provisions for air conditioning, although at this time is inoperable. It appears as though the majority of the components are on the car; it just needs to be completed. The convertible top and all associated components work flawlessly and turn this two-seater roadster into an all-weather car in a few minutes with the flip of a switch, all thanks to nearly every part in the system being replaced with new. A three-owner car that has received an amazing restoration and that has traveled less than one hundred miles since completion, along with full documentation confirming that there is well over $150K in this no-expense-spared restoration that had the goal in mind of being one of the top Sports Roadsters in the country. Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this incredible custom 1969 Pontiac GTO Restomod. This is not your average Restomod by any means. There was no expense spared in the making of this top notch GTO. The first thing you notice on this GOAT is the Inferno Orange paint finish. Done on rotisserie, this shows beautifully on the custom body work. It sits on a frame that was completely reinforced (boxed in) and painted black after being sand blasted. The black tinted windows help tie the colors in together perfectly. This car has a very serious suspension setup that has all the right parts. It has a complete performance suspension package by UMI that includes tubular control arms, and big sway bars with polyurethane bushings on the front and rear. On all four corners are QA1 fully adjustable coilovers. Steering is impressive on this with the addition of a rack and pinion steering system by Flaming River. It has a new tilt steering column with a new wheel. Braking on this beauty is supplied by a big brake package with crossed drilled and slotted rotors by Master Power Brakes. One of the most impressive parts of the car is the power plant. Inside the engine bay you will find an extremely clean, fully rebuilt LS6 engine with Performance Dart cylinder heads. This motor is force fed by a Magnuson TVS 2300 Supercharger. The engine has a complete, custom accessory drive kit finished in black ice and billet aluminum by Wegner Performance. This engine is cooled thanks to a performance radiator with dual electric fans by Dewitts. It's putting out a mind blowing 500hp and 485 ft lbs of torque on the Dyno, and it is mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, with performace clutch kit and hydraulic controls by American Powertrain. The rear end on this Inferno Orange performance car is a 12-bolt chevy rear end with limited slip differential and 3:42 gears. All of the power is kept in check via performance gauges by Auto Meter. The creature comforts and options in this car consist of everything you could possibly want. The cabin is kept cool by a Vintage Air, air conditioning kit. The interior is completely custom. This modern beast has an Android 2 Din stereo head unit with back up camera. The interior is black leather with orange stitching throughout, matching the orange exterior. This GTO has power windows, power locks, and power seats. There is a custom built center console with custom built door panels. The new carpets have dynamat insulation to keep the inside nice and quiet. The color scheme continues with orange LED illumination inside the vehicle. Outside this monster, all the lights are LED’s and the HID headlights have orange halo rings giving the GTO a mean look. When you aren’t listening to the roar of the engine, you can hear the two 6x9 Pioneer speakers on a package tray. This coupled with the 10” subwoofer box in the trunk makes for an excellent sound system. This ’69 sits on custom American Racing wheels wrapped in Continental performance tires. The wheels are 20” in the rear and 18” in the front, giving this Restomod the perfect staggered stance. You cannot reproduce the work on this car as it has so many custom touches. For sale in Dallas/Ft.Worth showroom is this 1981 Mercedes Benz-380SL. In 1980, Mercedes-Benz revamped its SL lineup of sporting luxury convertibles with the introduction of the 380SL. The 380 was an enhancement of the R107 chassis, which was first used in 1972 by the 350SL and then by the 450SL. This was an extremely popular model in the U.S. for its combination of V-8 power, refined luxury and sporty underneath carriage. The 380-SL was a lighter then its predecessor 450-SL, a 120 pounds lighter to be exact. Thus, it’s new V-8 3.8 liter engine was plenty of power for these vehicles. The new engine was designed with emissions controls in mind while the 450SL’s mill was not, which meant that the two engines were relatively equal in terms of power (155 hp in the 380SL vs. 160 hp in the 450SL) despite the difference in their displacements. Performance was similar for the two cars, as was fuel economy. This 1981 Mercedes Benz 380 SL has been family owned and passed down for over 25 years. All the paint has held up very well over the years. The interior is all original and pops with a bit of woodgrain installed in the dash. Another real stand out feature on this vehicle is those Dayton spoked wired wheels! Most certainly is going to catch anyone’s eye who sees them. This was the last car owned by the ICONIC HALL of FAME professional baseball LEGEND Roger Maris. Roger Maris was known for breaking the single-season home run record held by another legend, Babe Ruth. Maris blasted sixty-one home runs in a single-season. How often do you get to own a car from a super star? Added to the mix is the fact that this is a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. Some regard the 1980 Mercedes 450 SL as a legend in its own right. Obviously, Maris seen the prominence in it since he purchased it. This ‘80 is a great example of an original well preserved 450SL.
