1994 marked the first major redesign for the Mustang in 15 years! The newer design, code named “SN-95” by Ford was still based on the Fox platform. It features dramatically new styling by Patrick Schiavone that incorporated some stylistic throwbacks to earlier Ford Mustangs. The car remained a rear-wheel drive but the redesign helped greatly revive the popularity of the brand. This year also brought the return of the very successful Cobra model, equipped with the 5.0 Liter engine now rated at 240 horsepower. The Mustang Cobra Convertible was selected as the official Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500, making it the third time that the Mustang had enjoyed such a great honor. 1,000 replicas of the Rio Red with Saddle Leather interior cars were built and sold through select dealers. Replacing the 150 mph speedometer of the GT models is a 160 mph speedometer. Larger disc brakes, a manual transmission, and suspension modification followed. This 1994 Indy Pace Car has only 59,725 actual miles showing on the odometer. The Rio red paint is original and still shines like it did when it was new. When you look inside the car the black and tan interior is just as inviting as ever and contrasts well with the exterior of the car. Mounted on 17x8 inch cast aluminum alloy wheels are P255/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle GS-C radial tires. 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra

1997 Ford Mustang Cobra

Engine: 4.6L V8 DOHC 32V
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 29,285 ( actual )

The year was 1997 and demand for the 305-horsepower SVT Cobra remained high! Especially for convertibles, so the SVT team shifted more of its build mix towards the Cobra droptop with production now topping 3,000 units. With only 29,285 miles on this pony car it makes it a low mileage one owner car! The power plant of this Mustang is the 32-Valve 4.6 Liter V8 producing 300 lbs.-ft. @ 4800 rpm. When you mate it up to the 5-speed manual transmission it makes for a great driving experience that will satisfy your need for speed while still keeping the rpm’s low for cruising. Speaking of a need for speed this car will handle any curves thrown at it thanks to the modified MacPherson strut with separate spring on lower arm for the front. A rigid axle, upper and lower trailing arms, two hydraulic links, variable-rate coil springs, and 27mm stabilizer bar round out the rear suspension to complete the package. Helping this Mustang come to a stop are the 13 in. vented disc, PBR twin-piston calipers in the front of the car along with the 11.65 in. vented disc, single-piston caliper in the rear. The factory 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels look great on this car and are in the excellent shape. They are wrapped in Cooper P245/45ZR-17 radial tires. Only 925 of these cars were produced in the Rio Red color this year so don’t miss out on your chance to own this one! 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra

Engine: 4.6L V8 DOHC 32V
Transmission: 5 Speed Automatic with Over Drive
Mileage: 49,897 ( actual )

This Rio Red over black Cobra is still like a new car and has only traveled 49,891 miles during its 21 years on the road. In addition to being meticulously maintained throughout its life it is also only had two owners. The Cobra name first found its way to performance cars way back in 1962 with the Shelby Cobras and found its way to the Mustang lineup in 1968 and has been synonymous with speed and performance. This modern muscle car is a blast to drive and has all of the comfort and convenience you would expect out of a modern luxury car. Under the hood you will find the original 4.6 Liter V8 that produces 305 horsepower while still delivering 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The 5-speed transmission makes this car a blast to drive and will quickly get this Mustang up to highway speed without hesitation. All of the paint on this bright red beauty is original and shows very little signs, if any of being driven. With being an adult owned car with this few of miles on the odometer this car still looks and behaves like a new car and still has the leathery new-car smell. Mileage: 27,360 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this low-mileage, limited edition Mustang Cobra, which was born at the Dearborn assembly plant on February 17, 1999. Included in the many add-ons are: Paxton SuperCharger NOVI 1000, Kenny Brown sports suspension, Bassani X pip with Cats, Bassani Cat-Back exhaust, Center Force clutch 99-01 Cobra 11”, Tri-Ax handle shifter, Bullet pedals, Corbeau seats. There are so many more add-ons that we can't list them all here. Call for more information! Code-named "Terminator" by the SVT development crew led by John Coletti, numerous improvements were made to the powertrain and driveline to handle the power increase from the previous model's set-up. A cast-iron block was used, with stronger internals including forged Zolner pistons and Manley H-beam connecting rods that were modified with a wrist pin oiling hole by the SVT engineers. These upgrades were critical in order to support the 8 psi (0.55 bar) of boost delivered from the stock Eaton M-112 roots-type supercharger. Other improvements included the use of a lightweight aluminum flywheel connected to a Tremec T-56 six-speed transmission, 3.55:1 rear axle ratio, and stronger 31-spline halfshafts with revised upper and lower control arms. This beautiful 1999 Mustang Cobra is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

1996 Ford Mustang Cobra

1996 Ford Mustang Cobra

Engine: 4.6L V8
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 4,030 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this killer 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT The SVT Cobra was a high-performance version of the Ford Mustang, considered as top-of-the-line as it was positioned above the Mustang GT and Mach 1 models during its era of production. Starting with the 1996 model year, every Cobra engine was hand-assembled by two-person teams at the Ford Romeo Engine Plant in Romeo, Michigan. Each engine had a label bearing the names and signatures of the two engine builders. In 1996 Ford switched the engine to the new aluminum 4.6L DOHC modular unit that was smoother and had slightly better fuel economy, but don’t be fooled the Cobra has got lots of bite! Put the 5-speed manual transmission to the test and get down the quarter mile in less than 14 seconds, hitting over 100 MPH. If that doesn’t make you look good, the incredible Mystic Clearcoat Metallic paint with soft black leather interior will. With only 4030 original miles and 1 owner, this Cobra has barely shown her teeth. Of course, this Special Vehicle Team “SVT” comes with the needed creature comforts such as power steering, power brakes, power seats, power window, power mirrors and power looks. This Cobra is all about Power! Additional safety and comfort features also included are AM/FM radio with CD player, lumbar support, Driver side and passenger airbags. No need to be concerned that someone is going to get bit by trying to steal this wicked ride, it has an anti-theft system to keep her where she belongs. Total output from the engine was 215 hp (160 kW; 218 PS) at 4200 rpm and 285 lb·ft (386 N·m) of torque at 3400 rpm. Mustang GTs could deliver zero to 60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration times in the high-six second range and complete a quarter mile in about 15 seconds. The Mustang GT also featured a stiffer handling suspension, a 3.08:1 rear axle ratio (later changed to 3.27:1 or 3.55:1 depending on the transmission and model year), dual exhausts, and larger 16-inch (410 mm) wheels (compared to the base Mustang's 15-inch wheels). Mileage: 26,478 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Philadelphia showroom is a beautiful 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie. A mid-year model crossover, the '59 Fords were quite the mixed bag of badging. At various shows you'll often find patrons arguing whether it's a Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Galaxie, or Galaxie 500. Truth be known, they were actually all one in the same. Taking on the bigger and boatier lines of the Thunderbird, the Galaxies truly took on big bodied form, superseding the Ford Fairlanes. Continuing the Fairlane's roll as Ford's full-sized sedan, they had various options in various trims. This particular Fairlane being a four-door, still has a sporty feel, while maintaining the room needed for a family. This particular '59 Ford for sale left the factory with a 200 horsepower 332 V8 engine. Backing the small block Ford is an automatic “Cruise-O-Matic” transmission. Built for easy cruising, this 1959 Ford for sale is eager to take a trip down to local show or drive in movie! The exterior is a factory, Geranium, it has had at least one repaint, but is believe to be the original color form the factory. The interior is no different, with silver and gray vinyl interior. With benches both front and back, this car has plenty of room for you and a group of your friends and family.
