Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this rare 1967 Mustang Coupe. The rareness of this car model is due to the “Swing Away” steering column that functions when the car is in park and the drivers side door is opened. Unit productions of this option were very few making it truly a rare find.

The current owner claims to be the 3rd owner since new and that its been in storage for most of its life before and after its frame-on restoration in 2010 including new paint and new fuel cell. Under the hoods sits the original 289CID V8 and transmission. The paint is in great condition and shines brilliantly in the sun, and the original interior shows very minimal signs of normal wear and tear relative to its age. Underneath the car appears to be all original with evidence of only minor surface rust, and no known corrosion.

Pristine Mustangs like this have gone for twice as much so a find like this is sure to be a great investment for any car collector. Whether your looking for cool classic driver, or something to restore back to its glory, this Swing Away Mustang will be a fantastic addition to a car collection of any size.

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod

Engine: 398 CID V8 Stroker
Transmission: Tremec 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 5,518 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a unicorn of sorts. This one though is quite a unique unicorn. In fact if you Google “Blue Eleanor” this car is what you will find. A 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that started life as a 390 CID car, many many hands were involved in making this dream a reality. The body work was done by Desert Mustangs in Scottsdale AZ. She has made the circuits and was sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2006 and then underwent many thousands of dollars worth of work on the drivetrain to make this monster work in real life. So now the engine is a fully built bored and stroked 398 CID V8 that started as a 351 Cleveland. All of the supporting parts are top notch and support the 575 horsepower this engine creates. There are some cool tricks too. The custom exhaust is very muted until you flip the switch on the center console that opens the exhaust, the car then sings a very different tune. The neighbors will not be very happy with you running through the neighborhood banging through the T56 six speed transmission. All of this is backed by a Ford 9 inch rear differential with 3.89:1 gears and locking differential. No she isn’t a one trick pony either, ac makes driving in any area or time of year comfortable, power steering and power brakes make it all buttery smooth for driving. And please don’t think she is just a show pony either, she did 167 mph in a half mile runway race recently. For all of this shock and awe this is a well sorted car with just the right options that include AC, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Radial Tires, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels. 1968 Ford Mustang

1968 Ford Mustang

Engine: 428 Big Block
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 184 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this excellent 1968 Ford Mustang GT. The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was initially introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale in August 1964. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power. The 1971 model saw a drastic redesign to its predecessors. After an initial surge, sales were steadily declining, as Ford began working on a new generation Mustang. With the onset of the 1973 oil crisis, Ford was prepared, having already designed the smaller Mustang II for the 1974 model year. This new car had no common components with preceding models. This car has recently finished its restoration with only 185 miles since being a finished project. The car originally came from California and is an actual GT from the factory. It has been repainted to the Highland Green with a stylish black stripe painted on the hood. This car has had the original set up and 302 replaced with a 428, 4 speed manual, Ford 9” rear end, and has a 3.73 gearing. The Ram Air hood is functional and adds an aggressive stylish look to this 1st generation Mustang GT. This GT has many upgrades including a digital dash, custom wheels, and even comes with a Marti Report. The suspension has been lowered with Shelby suspension for a more aggressive look. If you want to add something light, fast, with a professional quality build than this is the Gen 1 Mustang for you. 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 16,500 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this ultra rare and desirable 1966 Shelby GT350 Fastback Mustang. Documentation and known history are two important attributes for collector cars. This 1966 Shelby GT350, SFM6S2185, possesses plenty of both. As noted in the Shelby American Automobile Club’s “Shelby Registry 1965-67,” the GT350 was shipped from the Shelby American assembly facility in Los Angeles to Ford Motor Company in June 1966, then delivered to Courtesy Motors in Littleton, Colorado. In the 1970s, the Shelby was owned by a southern California detective who sometimes used this beauty as an undercover vehicle. Since 1979, it has been in the hands of collectors to ensure it was cared for through the years. During the 1980s, it participated in west coast shows, including SAAC-6 and the Palo Alto Concours D’Elegance. From 1987 to 2013, the GT350 was owned by a private collector; a 1988 restoration resulted in numerous Best of Show awards, perfect scores from both SAAC and the Mustang Club of America, and features in several magazines. “Super Ford” magazine named it “the best Shelby of the year” for 1989. The Guardsman Blue GT350 retains much of its original equipment, including the factory-installed 4-speed transmission and matching-numbers 289 Hi-Po V-8 that was modified to Shelby specs for 306 horsepower. Like all 1966 GT350s, the car was delivered to Shelby American as a K-code Mustang fastback, then upgraded with a Cobra aluminum intake with Holley carb, Tri-Y headers, Koni shock absorbers, rear traction bars, 15-inch wheels, dash-mounted tachometer, competition seatbelts and wood steering wheel. Externally, the Shelby models differed from regular Mustangs with a fiberglass hood with scoop, plexiglas rear quarter windows and side scoops. Only 2,378 were built. In 2014, this car underwent a fresh restoration by Orlando Mustang, which resulted in Best in Class awards at the 2104 Keels and Wheels Concours D’Elegance and the 2015 Valero Show. It was featured in the July 2015 “Mustang Times” and displayed at the Bush Library from August to October 2016.
