Gateway classic cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle listed for sale. This green machine can be heard from blocks away with its set up under the hood. Some lucky Joe out there is going to really enjoy this Chevelle screaming down the streets of his or her hometown. The original 396 that came in this Chevelle has been pulled and replaced with a 454 Big block with solid lifter cams. The whole suspension raises when you put your foot down just a tad on the accelerator of this beast. The 4.10 rear end and 700R Auto transmission is helpful with the performance combination in this car. The car has a recent paint job and looks great with its green and black stripe scheme. The 1969 Chevelle was billed as "America's most popular mid-size car." They showed only minor changes for 1969, led by revised front-end styling. A single chrome bar connected quad headlights (which became a familiar Chevrolet trademark with its concurrent light duty pickup trucks) with a revised front grille, now cast in ABS plastic, and a slotted bumper held the parking lights. Taillight lenses were larger and more vertical, flowing into the quarter panels. Front vent windows (hardtop and convertibles only) began to fade away now that Astro Ventilation (first introduced on the 1966 Buick Riviera which was used a year earlier on the Camaro and Caprice) was sending outside air into several Chevelle models. The Chevelle lineup slimmed down to Nomad, 300 Deluxe/Greenbrier, Malibu/Concours, and Concours Estate series, and the base 300 series was history. No longer a series of its own, the SS 396 turned into a $347.60 option package for any two-door model. That meant not just a convertible, sport coupe, or pickup, but even the pillared coupe and sport coupe in the lower-rent 300 Deluxe series (except the base 300 Deluxe El Camino pickup). Fewer SS396-optioned 300 Deluxe coupes and sport coupes were built than their Malibu counterparts and they are solid gold for collectors. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this magnificent 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 convertible. This one comes to us from the second owner, who's been her caretaker since 1983. This one's the real deal; no clone, tribute, or replica - it's a real Super Sport big block Chevelle convertible. The original 350 HP 396 is still sitting between the fender wells, and throughout the years, it has had careful attention paid to any maintenance needs it had. The non-original Holley carb has recently been rebuilt along with a new clutch assembly. To keep it running cool, the original radiator has been boiled and rodded to flow coolant efficiently. The interior features factory gauges, a Hurst shifter, and new upholstery on the red vinyl seats. Other than an AM/FM/cassette, factory options include Rallye gauges, a console, and posi-traction. The top is power-assisted, and the mechanism operates flawlessly in all positions. The top itself still looks nice. The original rally wheels look period-perfect on this red muscle car and really finishes off the look of an all-business performance convertible from the General. This is a great car and should be yours. Remember yesterdays thinkers are todays buyers so act now. To see 100-plus HD pictures and a video of this awesome 1967 Chevelle SS396 convertible, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. The moment you see this car in person the first thing you notice is the extensive care the previous owner put into all the tiny details. Super clean inside and outside as well as under-hood. Have a seat in the driver’s seat in the near flawless black vinyl bucket seats with center counsel gate shifting the automatic transmission and a whole lot of spunk to the rear wheels when you hit the gas. This is a tough looking street car with a lot of shiny chrome, a beautiful olive clearcoat paint color and aggressive stock GM Rallye Rims wrapped in performance rubber as well as a black vinyl landau roof that trims this street sweeping head turner. The 1968 Chevelle received an all-new distinctly sculpted body with tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. The car adopted a long-hood/short-deck profile with a high rear-quarter "kick-up". Top-trim models, including the SS 396, featured GM's new Hide-A-Way wiper system. The SS 396 Chevelle is becoming harder to find and more popular among collectors than ever before. Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this incredible 1968 Chevelle Restomod. I’m not even sure where to begin. This car has undergone a complete restoration with some amazing custom features. Under the hood lies a 396 bored .030 over that is balanced and blueprinted. Internals are a Comp thumper cam with roller rockers and lifters, fired by an MSD ignition and topped with a Holley 750 and Edelbrock intake. Gas is fed through a Holley electric fuel pump. The entire car boasts a Painless wiring system too! The beast is backed by a Turbo 400 with Coan converter and 2800 stall handled with a B&M shifter. For sale in our Dallas showroom is a wild 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. The Che-Devil, as the build is called, started life as a real 138 VIN SS Chevelle, but quickly became a runaway project into the street and show beast you see before you. The heart of it all is the Bill Mitchell built 540 CID Big Block Chevy rated at 625hp hiding under the hood. The Lemon custom headers have electronic cut-outs, allowing either moderate cruising volume or earth-shattering open header sound. The engine is paired to a Tremec TKO600 5 speed manual for those who like to row their own gears, and spins a Currie 9” rear with 3.73 gears. To get the best stance possible at shows while also being drivable, there is a 4 corner independently controllable air ride system by Air Ride Technology. Behind the Budnik wheels are Willwood disc brakes at all four corners to bring things to a quick and safe halt. Inside is a classic and clean leather interior with a custom dash and classic Hurst t-handle shifter. Adding to the show is the fully custom trunk. The speakers, amplifiers, and fuses are all very cleanly installed, and have the option of being displayed with lights or hidden beneath great leather upholstery for a clean look. For sale in our Saint Louis Showroom is this 1972 SS Clone Chevrolet Chevelle. The restoration work includes replaced Quarter Panels, Front Fenders, Outside Door Handles, Dash Padding, Vintage A/C and Heat added, A/C Vents, new Carburetor, new Flowmaster Exhaust with Chrome Tips, Alternator, Guages, Tackometer, 10 Bolt Posi-traction, Stock SS Wheels, and Spare Tire Covers. Altogether, there has been a great investment in time and detail to make this classic girl a thing of beauty. In 1964 the Chevelle was originally Chevrolet's response to the demand for the smaller-sized car market, which had been successfully tapped into by American Motor's Rambler. Riding on a 115-inch wheelbase, the Chevelle was based on a new A platform design, and became American's second best-selling car of its time. The 1972 Chevelles featured single-unit parking/side marker lights on their front fenders, outside of a revised twin-bar grille. Powered by a smooth running 454 CID and TH 350, this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle is a great classic to invest in as something to show off, as well as to use as your frequent driver. If someone pulls up next to your and revs up their engine to taunt you into a drag race, just lock in your seat-belt, put out your cigarette, rev your 454 back at them, and take your time driving home, because speed thrills, but kills.
