For sale in our Chicago showroom is this incredible 1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo 20th Anniversary. Pontiac sure got it right with this version of the Trans Am. With a unique Turbocharged 3.8 Liter V6 under the hood, this Bird was the best performing since the 455 Super Duties. Pontiac under-rated these boosted T/As at 250 HP and 345 lb ft of torque. These super sixes could get to 60mph in 4.6 seconds and through the 1/4 mile in 13.4 seconds. These numbers are still impressive today nearly 30 years later! It is rumored that this was the first pace car that needed no performance modifications in order to keep up. They simply installed a light bar and the communication equipment and got it out on the track. This particular example is a well maintained 3 owner car with only 24,569 miles. This car has a larger-diameter stainless steel exhaust which sounds incredible. The vehicle drives as tightly as you'd expect for such a low mileage vehicle. The white paint is in great shape as well as the tan leather interior. It sports the OEM desirable “Honey comb” wheels in gold, which show wonderfully. This modern classic is a collectible as well as a great car to drive. The handling performance is enthralling and hearing the turbo wind up is exhilarating. Hold on tight when driving this turbo-bird! With plenty of power on tap at the rear wheels of this powerful Pontiac, and being such a low-mileage example, this Firebird is going to keep you smiling for a long time! Options include: AM/FM Radio, Spare Tire, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Power Mirrors, Leather Interior, and a Positraction rear axle. For more information on this incredible 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am 20th Anniversary Edition Pace Car, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. We have a spectacular 1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS-6 for sale here in our Milwaukee location, it features a re paint and Dark grey interior. The engine is an LT-1 backed by a 6 speed transmission. This is a numbers matching vehicle. It has all the creature comforts from T tops, air conditioning, cruise control, power everything… etc… This is an amazing vehicle. The 1997 model year introduced standard air conditioning, daytime running lamps (utilizing the front turn signal lamps), digital odometers, and optional 500-watt Monsoon cassette or compact disc stereo systems to all Firebird trim levels. For V6 Firebirds, a W68 sport appearance package was also introduced as a counterpart to the Camaro RS trim level. The WS6 "Ram Air" performance package was now also an option for the Formula and Trans Am convertibles, although these convertibles did not receive the 17-inch wheel-and-tire combination. There were 41 Formula convertibles and 463 Trans Am convertibles produced from 1996 to 1997 with the WS6 package. This beautiful vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom. The Gateway Classic Car Showroom in Saint Louis is happy to offer this fourth-generation Pontiac Firebird for sale. Originally designed by Pontiac from 1967 to 2002, this hot ride was designed as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang, and ended up also competing with the Chevrolet Camaro and Mercury Cougar that GM built on the same platform. The fourth-generation Firebird amplified the aerodynamic styling initiated by the previous generation. While the live rear axle and floorpan aft of the front seats remained largely the same, ninety percent of the Firebird's parts were all-new. Major improvements to this generationincluded standard dual airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, 16-inch wheels, rack-and-pinion power steering, short/long-arm front suspension, and several non-rusting composite body panels. This particular Firebird is powered by the most powerful engine from the fourth generation, which was the 5.7L V8. Additional features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Spare Tire, T-Tops, Cruise Control, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Jack, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Power Mirrors, Seat Belts, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Posi Traction. This is a single-owner vehicle with documentation and no accident history. Pontiac under rated these boosted T/As at 250 HP and 345 lb ft of torque. These super sixes could get to 60mhp in 4.6 seconds and though the ¼ mile in 13.4 seconds. There’s no surprise this Trans Am has no problem pacing the 1989 Indianapolis 500. It is rumored that this was the first pace car that didn’t need any performance modifications to keep up. This 1997 Pontiac Trans-Am WS6 is not only one of the cleaniest one owner convertibles that you will find on the road today! It is also a low mileage car with 15,385 miles on the odometer. One look at the exterior of this car and you’ll notice that the white paint is just as shiny as the day this car was new. A larger valance has been added to the front of the car to help with down force. Also giving it more of an attitude as it’s going down the street. Matching it all up with the white convertible top is what helps make this car 1 of 41 ever produced with these options. Under the hood is the potent 5.7 LT1 V8 boasting 305 horsepower. An automatic transmission with overdrive takes care of the shifting of gears. Grey leather seats keep the occupants comfortable on any length of trip. Helping put the power to the ground are 17” WS6 aluminum wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Not many cars can be considered a true survivor car. If you are in the market for something that is going to stand out in a crowd but also has been barely broken in this Trans-Am is for you!
