Thank you for your interest in this sharp 1985 Ford Bronco II presented by Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa. This beast is ready to hit the back roads and tear up some dirt!
Bronco II’s shared many of the traits of the full-size Bronco of the day. But in a compact size! These little beasts were cloned after the Ford Ranger of its time to compete with the mid-sized SUV craze. Under the hood of this one is a 2.8 L Cologne V6 that pushes out roughly 160 bhp. This little engine has then been linked up to a smooth shifting 5 speed manual transmission. Small SUV has also been equipped with 4 wheel drive high, low and 2 wheel high. Giving you the ability to take it off road and still be enjoyable driving around town. From there we head into the Bronco’s interior that is all original blue cloth interior with lumbar support seats. The dash has been trimmed in a matching blue that looks like it came straight out of the 80’s. The exterior has been painted in a white with blue trim with diamond plated side steps.
This little 4x4 SUV is ready to head out on its next adventure wither it is tearing up some back roads or driving around town.

Engine: 2.9L V6 FITransmission: AODMileage: 78,409 ( undocumented )
This 1988 Ford Bronco II is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Bronco II was introduced in 1984 in response to the gas shortage and the cry for a smaller SUV. The public responded well to the little Bronco until the Explorer was released in 1990. With its short production life these little SUV’s are far and few in between today making this example a rare find. Going through a frame off restoration this example is one of the nicest in the market today. The Deep Forest Green paint looks almost blue in some light and black in others. The correct 2.9-liter V6 was rebuilt giving the 88 a new lease on life. With the transmission and transfer case rebuilt as well, this compact SUV is ready for the road. The manual 4-wheel drive with locking hubs give you confidence when taking it off the pavement. The 31.5 Grabber Tires on the 15” aluminum wheels are designed to work great on any surface. The 3” body lift combined with a 2” Skyjacker suspension lift give you plenty of clearance while giving the B Bronco a great look. Open the doors and you are welcomed to a fresh interior that looks like it came right out of 1988. The front buckets have been fitted with adjustable lumbar allowing for a custom fit. The new headliner looks as it should with the brand-new steering wheel completing this extremely clean interior. If you have been looking for a turn key frame off restored Bronco II that has been completely gone through your search is over.
