Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this extremely cool 1926 Ford Model T. Between the extensive powertrain work and original sheet metal, this car is a clean example of a Model T. Under the hood of this American icon is a 2.9-liter inline four-cylinder engine that was good for roughly 20 horsepower when new. The engine is paired to a 2-speed planetary gear transmission and great for small town cruising. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt roughly 2,000 miles ago so there are plenty of miles left in the old beauty. The power that screams from this car is driven through the Ruxtell 2-speed rear axle and is stopped by the Rocky Mountain brakes. You may not compete against the Camaros, and Mustangs on the road but this very well may be one of the quicker Model T’s I’ve seen. Moving inward, the interior of this car is barren with no modern amenities or luxuries. When this car was produced, it was meant to be a cheap means of transportation for the masses with little to no focus on comfort or styling. The condition of the interior on this T is very good, and is no doubt aided in staying that way, because the car comes with with 100% accurate side curtains and tonneau cover. The exterior of this T is finished in black and green to keep a clean classic look. The paint is in very good condition and highlights the cars curves and style. Laying beneath the paint is the original sheet metal from when the car was new almost 100 years ago. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to have this 1926 Ford Model T listed for sale. This complete frame up rebuild is turn key and ready to be enjoyed. This sharp Ford has been owned by the same owner for 30 years and claimed to be a 2-owner truck. After 90 years this original numbers matching engine and transmission are still trucking along. All new Ford parts have been installed on this truck with the exception of the frame, running gear, motor, transmission, wheels, and cab. The truck has recently been repainted black by Larry Hill and has been reassembled with mechanical work done by Charles Rosato. The black paint is matched with black leather interior, a black soft vinyl material, and black wheels. The style in the appearance is topped off by the wood bed and wooden steering wheel. This truck is perfect for someone who wants to own a piece of Ford history or even a beginner into the car show hobby. The fun part of the early automobile is the ability to manually adjust the timing and throttle right from the steering wheel. This truck is a manual controlled by the farthest left petal on the driver side floor board. The Model T was a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Its transmission was a planetary gear type billed as "three speed". In today's terms it would be considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds was reverse. The Model T had a front-mounted 177-cubic-inch (2.9 L) inline four-cylinder engine, producing 20 hp (15 kW), for a top speed of 40–45 mph (64–72 km/h).[23] According to Ford Motor Company, the Model T had fuel economy on the order of 13–21 mpg US (16–25 mpg imp; 18–11 L/100 km).[24] The engine was capable of running on gasoline, kerosene, or ethanol,[25][26] although the decreasing cost of gasoline and the later introduction of Prohibition made ethanol an impractical fuel for most users. The engines of the first 2,447 units were cooled with water pumps; the engines of unit 2,448 and onward, with a few exceptions prior to around unit 2,500, were cooled by thermosiphon action. The small but powerful motor is connected to a rebuilt C4 automatic transmission, which also has a shift kit installed. The power train is backed by a 9-inch Ford rear end which will undoubtably get that power to the rear tires. The truck is painted in a uniform matte grey with re-chromed front and rear bumpers. This combination gives the truck a very aggressive look, especially when you notice the custom Billet wheels front and rear. The panels on this custom 1950 Ford F1 are all original steel and in great shape. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The front suspension on the truck is tubular with coil and the rear suspension is a Chassis Engineering leaf spring kit, both of which give the truck a true pickup feeling while still looking sleek and stylish. Many of the parts on the truck have been changed to stainless steel as well. The interior of the truck is stunning. The seats are brown and black leather bucket seats which comfort you and a passenger while handling this beast. The dashboard is equipped with Autometer gauges and a tilt steering wheel to ensure a comfortable ride. The truck truly fits together tremendously well. Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is excited to present this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This Mach 1 is a very special car. The rust free body is covered in Mustang Grabber Green PPG base coat clear coat. It has front and rear spoilers and new front and rear bumpers. The flat black accents have been clear coated for easy maintenance. You can even wax them. The hood scoop features turn signal indicators and there are factory hood pins also. The front grille is a rare early chrome edition. The wheels are HOT Wheels Chrome 16 X 8 in with 235/50/16 tires. The heart of this car is a 390 CI that has been built to fly. They started with a 30 overbore of a virgin FE block. A Holley 4150 650 CFM polished aluminum carburetor sits on a polished Edelbrock dual plane intake manifold. Silvolite hypereutectic pistons with Hastings rings gives this pony a 9.5 to 1 compression ratio. All steel valves with hardened seats are motivated by a Crane Cams Roller Rocker set up with .584/.607 duration and 284/290 lift. It uses a Cloyes double roller timing set and Crane cams valve springs as well. A modified Petronix Ford electronic distributor provides the spark through a set of Taylor Spiro Pro custom wire set. Keeping this internally balanced and blueprinted engine properly lubricated is a Melling high volume oil pump. Ceramic coated headers feed a Magnaflow exhaust system and makes a great sound. The battery is mounted in the trunk and the 150 amp Tuff Stuff Chrome alternator keeps it charged. A Painless wiring system delivers all the juice this Pony needs. The transmission is a Ford 4 speed top loader with a McLeod hydraulic release bearing and a Centerforce clutch. It also has a Gear Vendor electronic overdrive. The driveshaft is custom from A 1 Driveshafts. The rear is a Ford 9 inch traction loc with 3:25 gears a sway bar, gas shocks and Rod and Custom Motorsports disc brakes. The interior of this Mach 1 is the Black factory deluxe with high black Mach 1 seats and wood accents. It features Fat Mat sound deadener, new carpet, new dash pad and headliner. There are three point seat belts in the front and lap belts in the rear. The Air Conditioning is a Route 66 system with r134 Sanyo compressor. The Willwood master cylinder is mounted behind the dash with reservoirs in the engine compartment. The stereo is a Kenwood head unit with CD. A700 watt California AMP provides plenty of power to the six speaker system.
