Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this “Sweet” 1981 Chevrolet El Camino. What is it? A car? A truck? A car-truck? It’s none of the above. It’s Chevrolet’s ICONIC El Camino and if you want to get technical, it is a coupe utility. The El Camino was based on a two-door station wagon and although it was based on a car line, it’s titled and classified as a truck. What you see here is not the average 1981 El Camino. The fifth generation “Elky’s” were known to have rust issues, which makes a solid body basic El Camino highly sought after. This El Camino not only has a solid body, it received a frame-on restoration in 1997 and has been pampered, spoiled, and garaged kept ever since. This is not your typical paint-over-the-original-paint rush job. Before the GM “HOT ROD RED” paint was applied to the entire body, it was bead blasted. This process ensured that all the previous paint was removed, leaving a bare metal surface as the starting foundation. Twenty-one years later the color still shines brightly, shows well, and proves it was both money and time well spent. The restoration continues with a new 350 4 bolt main 350 horsepower crate engine installed along with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission out of a 1966 Corvette. That means this 1981 El Camino is “Show and Go.” If that is not enough excitement, all this power is transferred to a Positrack Rearend, housing 3:73 gears. Oh yeah…mash that pedal to the metal and watch this El Camino go quickly from mild to wild. To ensure the horsepower was put to the pavement, the entire suspension was upgraded. The exterior and drivetrain could not be restored without touching the interior. Inside, you will find 1987 Buick Grand National Bucket Seats redone in Chestnut Suede and Tweed. The chestnut brown color compliments the exterior while keeping it unique, classy, and simple. You will also find new carpet and a three-gauge cluster displaying water temp, oil pressure, volts. Options include AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, Cloth Interior, Raised White Lettered Tires, Rally Wheels, Cowl Induction Hood, and Posi Traction. This 1981 Chevrolet El Camino is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. This 1984 El Camino is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The El Camino is not really a truck yet not really a car but something in between. It has had the hearts and imagination of many since its release in the late 50’s. They gained popularity in the mid-sixties but really came on strong in the 80’s. Most recently many have taken these trucks/cars and put stronger engines making them a lot more fun to drive. This 84 has done just that with a hopped up small block 350 under the hood. The motor sounds great and is a lot more than the original 305 ever thought about being. The 350 Engine and transmission were built and installed about 4000 miles ago, so there is plenty of life left in this drivetrain. Allowing the exhaust to flow is a new set of manifolds as well as a true dual exhaust setup from the manifolds back. With new brake lines, master cylinder, calipers, and wheel cylinders this thing will stop as good as it goes. With the cooling system new as well you should have no issues with overheating and be confident when cruising in traffic. The rubber molding around the around the windows was replaced as well with it still being in great condition. The interior of the car is original and appears to be in great shape with no major signs of wear. If you have been wanting to get a up and coming car but thought about a truck as well this could be the great compromise between the two. Options on this 1984 Chevrolet El Camino include, AC, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt Steering, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires. Gateway Classic Cars is happy to present and offer this brillantly maintained 1987 Chevrolet El Camino that is at in our Saint Louis Showroom. The El Camino is a coupé utility vehicle that was produced by Chevrolet between 1959–60 and 1964–1987. It was introduced in the 1959 model year in response to Ford's successful Ranchero coupé utility, and was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. This 1987 El Camino was the fifth generation of the unique ride and the very last year that they were produced by Chevrolet. Borrowing from the design of the Malibu, if you think this SS Body Package El Camino is all business in the front and party in the back, you'll be sadly mistaken, because underneath the hood of this girl is strong ZZ-350 being driven by a TH350 transmission and a Ford 9 inch rear with 3.73 gears. The 110,051 on the odometer are actual miles. The professionally painted exterior is the Cherry Passion Red (PPG Brand), and the interior is dark gray cloth and that is in good condition and still sits very well. Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this awesome, rare, and numbers-matching 1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS Choo-Choo! These Choo-Choo El Caminos are highly desirable and hard to come by. The original El Camino SS was produced by Choo-Choo Customs for GM from mid-1983 until the El Camino series was discontinued at the end of 1987. In addition to the aerodynamic nose treatment that was the primary styling feature of all El Camino SSs, all vehicles received graphics on the fascia, doors and tailgate. All Choo-Choo Customs El Camino SS's were "final assembled" at Choo-Choo Customs, Inc's., headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Choo-Choo Customs, Inc., El Camino SS model was available through any Chevrolet dealership from 1983 through 1987. The "Choo-Choo SS" was an appearance package only. Unlike earlier Chevrolet Super Sport models, no performance enhancements were made to the production Choo-Choo SS models. This 1987 is one of only 861 that were manufactured during the final year of the Choo-Choo Customs’ production run of El Caminos, and it is still in great shape, with what is believed to be only 64000 original miles. Starting with the clean white exterior and its black graphics, to its nearly new Cooper Cobra radials wrapped around the 15” Rallye wheels with simulated chrome knock-off spinner, this is one sporty looking truck. Moving inside, one finds the maroon cloth interior to be in great shape, with the very functional split bench seat and carpeting looking barely used. Its JVC AM/FM/CD head unit with detachable face plate puts out sound that is far better than what it had from the factory radio in 1987. Get in, get comfortable, fire up the 4BBL-equipped 305 CID V8, slide it into drive, and head out. The exhaust has a nice rumble through the new stainless-steel exhaust, and the transmission shifts smoothly as you ease down the road in style. You’ll certainly get lots of admiring glances while you’re driving this last-of-breed Choo-Choo El Caminos! Options on this 1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS Choo-Choo include A/C, AM/FM/CD Radio, Cloth Interior, Cruise Control, Rallye Wheels with beauty rings, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Windows, Seat Belts, and Tilt Wheel. For more information on this 1987 Chevrolet El Camino SS Choo-Choo for sale, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1966 Impala 2-door. The exterior is finished in a beautiful red and the interior is done in custom red/pearl which matches amazingly. Under the hood you will find a revuilt 283 CID V8 engine. The power is delivered to the wheels via a smooth shifting automatic transmission. The distributor, coil, cap and rotor have recently been changed. 1966 represented the second model year for the fourth generation Impala. Redesigned in 1965, the Impala set an all-time industry annual sales record of more than 1 million units in the United States. All new full-size Chevrolets eschewed the "X" frame for a full-width perimeter frame, a new body that featured curved, frameless side glass (for pillarless models), sharper angled windshield with newly reshaped vent windows, and redesigned full-coil suspension. The Impala would be the #2-selling convertible in the US in 1966, with 38,000 sold; it was beaten only by the Mustang. It was the final generation of Impala before they started being robbed of power from the new emissions control systems brought in in the early 70’s. Anyone looking at the pictures and video of this beautiful machine can clearly see why it’s a great buy. The design is timeless. Don’t wait until it’s gone to inquire. Don’t miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars in Houston for more information. Financing and shipping options are available. Office hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5pm central time. The telephone number for our showroom is (832) 243-6220 or if you prefer, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
