Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is this beautiful 1928 Willys – Overland Whippet. These time piece cars are becoming harder and harder to find. But they sure are a reminder of yesteryear. Overland car company was purchase by John Willys in 1908 and was at the time was the second largest producer of vehicles at that time. The Whippet was produced for only 5 years due to the economic crises of the late 1920’s.

What makes this whippet so unique is this street rod is an all steel car including the fenders. Under the hood of this street Rod is a bold Supercharger 350 CID V8 power plant. It has then been linked up to a smooth shifting Mustang automatic transmission and rear end. The interior in this one has been done up and a plush Tan cloth seat and has been trimmed with wood though out to give the car it classic car hot rod look.

If you’re looking for a rare and show-quality car, look no further than this 1970 Buick GSX! The Gran Sport name has been used by Buick to denote several high-performance cars since 1965. Since Cadillac did not present an offering during the muscle car era, the Buick models are considered the most well-appointed GM sports models of the day. In 1970, the 400cid engine was replaced by the new 455cid V8. The base model was rated at 350hp and 510 ft-lb of torque. The optional Stage-1 version was rated at 360hp and 510 lb-ft of torque at 2800 rpm. The Stage-1 engine used cylinder heads that were machined differently to accept larger valves and to produce a tighter compression ratio. The option also included a more aggressive camshaft, specially tuned Quadra jet carburetor, more aggressive ignition timing, 5/8” oil pickup tube and a higher numerical final drive. Also, in 1970, GM decided to step up yet another notch with the GSX high performance package. The GSX was Buicks’ answer to the Pontiac GTO Judge and was introduced relatively late in the 1970 model year. As a result, only 678 GSXs were produced that year and only 400 with the Stage 1 engine option. The impressive performance has become a legend unto its own and is partly due to the light weight of the 455 (150 lbs less than the 426 Hemi). The torque rating was also the highest output of any American production performance car, a record held for 33 years until finally surpassed by the V10 Viper in 2003. The 1970 Buick GSX came in 2 colors, Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, a full black interior, and has arguably the most extensive list of standard high-performance features of any classic era muscle car. We are thrilled to have this Yellow 1970 frame-off restored beauty in our Milwaukee showroom. The numbers-matching Stage-1 455 has been completely rebuilt and the owner states 1,100 miles since. The transmission was replaced with a rebuilt period correct Muncie M22 4-speed manual with 3.64 limited slip differential. This is a non-AC car and includes power steering and power brakes. Styling features unique to the GSX include a distinctive full body length black stripe crossing over the rear spoiler, hood mounted tachometer and black front spoiler. Also standard are black bucket seats, quick ratio steering, anti-sway bars front and rear and quad-link suspension. This Charger has been professionally built at Moran Motorsports and if the Charger looks familiar, its possible that you saw an episode of “Roadkill Nights” where this Charger destroyed the competition and took home a $10,000 top prize at the largest car gathering in the world, the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. The 540cid Indy Aluminum Hemi with 16 injectors and a dry sump oil system and also running a pair of 76mm Garrett turbos through a BigStuff3 EFI system, and it’s shifted through a Rossler Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a trans brake. Did we forget to mention the Methanol Injection? Exhaust measures in at 4in and has been completely ceramic coated, in and out. There’s a Dana 60 rear end out back with 3.53 gearing, and at the crank, you’re looking at 2,200 horsepower! The Big Stuff 3 Electronics that are equipped in this Charger allow you to control boost, offer traction control and even a analog button to rid of any interruptions. The Dewitt Radiator and Brushless Fans make sure this Mopar run nice and cool. The amount of time, effort and energy that went into building this monster is evident and the list is longer than train tracks. This vehicle would see on average 2,000-3,000 miles per season so driving this one is not out of the question. If you are a serious buyer that is looking for a Charger that you can trailer, show, drive or even race, this one covers all the check marks for you. To replicate this build it would take an unlimited budget and knowledge that cannot be bought. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! The custom leather Procar seats are wrapped in chamois and cashmere with 3-point retractable seat belts and Iditit tilt wheel allow you to enjoy this beast comfortably when open road cruising. The interior provides some great modern pieces such as classic vintage gauges, custom machined trim pieces, Vintage Air Gen II Heat/AC/Defrost, and Specialty Power Windows.
