HIGH VALUE VEHICLES

1959 Chevrolet Corvette

1959 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 283 CID V8 270HP 2x4BL
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 60,200 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this gorgeous tuxedo black 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. This stunning 2 top Vette has a beautiful red interior, a 270 hp 2x4 solid lift 283 with a 4-speed transmission and wide whitewalls with knockoff hubcaps. To the credit of all involved, the 1959 Corvette was “cleaned up” considerably. For one, the chrome “suspenders” were removed from the design, providing Corvette with a more swept back look that was synonymous with speed. For another, it was decided that the faux hood louvers would be eliminated, returning the Corvette to a semblance of its former self. While these features were key identifiers of the 1958 Corvette, there was no question that the elimination of the excessive chrome would reduce weight and help increase performance. Much like the exterior of the Corvette, the interior received minor, but significant updates as well. Both the door handles and the armrests were repositioned and a small-item storage compartment was added beneath the passenger side grab bar. In addition, both the driver and passenger seats were redesigned to offer increased lateral support of their occupants. All tachometers now indicated up to 7,000 rpm and offered redline and safe limit indicators. Sun visors were introduced to the 1959 Corvette as a new option and concave instrument lenses replaced the flat covers of the 1958 Corvette, thereby reducing sun glare (and other reflections) that might cause a driver to become distracted. 1954 Jaguar XK120

1954 Jaguar XK120

Engine: 3.4L Inline 6
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 63,092 ( undocumented )

With a professional restoration meticulously finished in 2012, this 1954 Jaguar XK120 Drop Head convertible is truly a sight to behold. The XK120 was the fastest production car of its day and was a strong competitor on race day winning a few 24-hour endurance races including Mt. Druitt in Australia back in 1954. The “120” represented the top speed right from the factory. This XK120 is in excellent shape and has had a few minor upgrades bringing it up to date and making it an excellent driver’s car including converting the electrical system to 12 volt from 6 volt, an electronic ignition, electric fan for optimal cooling, and a tremec 5-speed manual transmission adding synchros in all gears and an overdrive gear. These upgrades do not take away from the original looks of the car but increase the drivability dramatically. Redone just this last year in 2017 included the top end of the engine rebuilt with new valve seats for pump gas, rebuilt SU carburetors, rebuilt brake cylinders on all corners, new plugs and wires installed, and in 2018 the interior was reupholstered, and the paint was ceramic coated for ease of cleaning. This Jaguar is a stunning car both to drive and admire and would make the perfect addition to a collection or dream car for a Jaguar enthusiast. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom.
