For sale in our Chicago showroom is this 1962 Chevrolet Impala. The Impala has always been a staple in American automotive history. This classic cruiser lives up to the hype. With a peppy 350 small block Chevy V8 partnered up with a sporty 3-speed automatic, this Impala is as reliable as it is fun! Built to be a “Street/Strip” car, any extra weight savings helps, as does any reduction in engine drag, so power steering is not present, neither are power brakes. With roughly 50 pounds save off the nose end of the Impala by not adding those items, this full-size coupe still feels nimble.
A fresh coat of Rudy Red enamel paint sparkles like the gem it’s named after. One would be hard pressed to believe that the paint is really from 2008! The Impala has been in the family for roughly 13 years, and has been meticulously cared for during that time. Plenty of care went into not only selecting just the right colors, engine parts, and interior, but also in keeping the restoration looking fresh for as long as possible. With mostly original metal (the trunk pan needed to be replaced), the lines are as straight as GM made them.
Strap into these race-inspired seats, buckle the 4-point harness, and have a great time! Options include: Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Racing Wheels.
