For sale in our Detroit showroom is a Henry Ford syledl 1932 Ford Model 18 Roadster with a Rumble Seat. This car not only incorporates the iconic design of the late 20's and early 30's but also has a blast-from-the-past rumble seat that is perfect for the little ones. By the late 1920's the Model T was becoming less competitive in the market with other manufacturers offering more modern conveniences at reasonable prices. The folks at Ford fought to get old Henry to produce something that was good looking and reliable but also more sturdy and easier to drive and thus the Model A was born. This styling would later become one of the most iconic cars of the 1930's, and allowed families to travel longer distances with more comfort. In 1932, Ford brought out a working-class V-8 and forever blurred the lines between factory performance, transportation and hot rods. This lightweight Wescott Body is paired to a potent Flathead V8 sports roughly 100 miles on a rebuild. For that reason alone, the '32 Ford would have earned its place as a performance archetype. Throw in some of the best styling to leave Dearborn in the prewar era and you have the makings of possibly the most sought-after mass-produced interwar car. Luckily, by the time the Model A came around, you could have it in any color you like. This particular roadster comes in Washington Blue, which is paired perfectly with the dark Brown interior. The interior provides comfort you can expect from a newly upholstered bench seat with a rumble seat that looks just as nice. If you are looking for a real steel Model A that retains a large part of its originality and great drivability, then this is the Model A for you. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 125HD pictures and video, visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Detroit Showroom is this very unique 1938 American Bantam Roadster. American Austin Car Company was founded in 1929, in Butler, Pennsylvania, in premises that had belonged to the Standard Steel Car Company. Their intention was to assemble and sell in the United States a version of the Austin 7 car, called American Austin. After some initial success the Great Depression set in, and sales fell off to the point that production was suspended. In 1934 the company filed for bankruptcy. In 1935, Roy Evans, a former salesman for Austin, bought out the bankrupt company, which was reorganized under the name American Bantam. Production was resumed in 1937, and continued through 1941. Despite a wide range of Bantam body styles, ranging from light trucks to woodie station wagons, only about 6,000 Bantams of all types were produced. This 1938 Bantam is a restored roadster that is in great overall condition. The 50 cubic inch four cylinder engine is a correct engine but not the original to the car, it makes 22 horsepower and is really fun to drive being mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a one-of-a-kind and super rare 1946 Dodge Power Wagon! The famous Dodge Power-Wagon was a civilian adaptation of a four-wheel drive, 3/4-ton military vehicle which Dodge built in great numbers during World War II. The civilian version, which was first offered in 1946, was rated as a one-ton but was capable of carrying a 3000 pound payload in off-highway service. Dodge engineered the Power-Wagon to be a self-propelled powerplant, and it was capable of a wide range of industrial and agricultural applications. A transmission power-take-off was available (present here) for driving various items of auxiliary equipment. Our example features a PTO driven winch that looks like it could pull a mountain! There is no better color combination than the Military Green and Black which really give an appeal you can only find on a Power Wagon. With only 2,000 miles on this fresh restoration, this 230cid I-6 can perform to its full potential no matter how you plan on using it. These Power Wagon’s are not something you usually see on the road but if you dare, this one is road ready and can be driven to a local show. It may take you a little longer than expected, but this Power Wagon will get you their safely and plow thru anything in its way. The only way to get an idea of how big this truck is would be to come gaze at it in person at our Detroit showroom located at 15000 Commerce Dr N in Dearborn Michigan. Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a super rare and 1947 Buick Woodie Wagon! While Buick’s postwar lineup was still based upon its prewar designs, the mildly revised 1946–1948 models garnered very strong public favor nonetheless. With the proven overhead valve Dynaflash straight eight, fully coil-sprung suspensions, and Harley Earl-supervised styling with fade-away front fenders, broad grilles, and remarkably restrained bright-trim accents, these cars remain collector staples today. During that era, the Series 50 Super Estate Wagon, with handsome Woodie bodywork by Michigan’s Ionia Manufacturing Company, topped Buick’s mid-tier offerings with a factory price of nearly $2,600. Just 2,036 of them, including five for export, were produced for 1947. This Woodie is a Series 50; Model 59, 110-hp, 248-cid OHV Dynaflash inline eight-cylinder engine with three-speed column-mounted manual transmission. The rarity of this vehicle in todays market makes this beautiful Buick a real gem. The history of this Buick has left its footprint in automotive history and will always be a high value vehicle. The wood accents on the vehicle are in pristine condition and have no splits and show very well. Every bit of this Buick screams nostalgia and has an unforgettable presence and it belongs in a museum or your very own private collection. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of automotive history. Engine: 502 CID V8Transmission: 3 Speed AutomaticMileage: 730 ( since rebuilt )
Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer a very unique 1957 Chevrolet Nomad! The two door Nomad took a completely different approach to a station wagon than many of the era. With its styling cues being basically that of a 2 door hardtop, the Nomad would enjoy the same success as the tri fives that it was based off of. Much like the 2 door hardtop models the Nomad is one of the coolest platforms to restore. This ‘57 has been built to enjoy and drive on a daily basis while taking it to high level car shows on the weekend. The body was taken off the original frame and taken down to bare metal before being placed on a powder coated frame. The Pastel Lavender paint is slick and looks great while keeping with that classic ‘57 look. Using an upgraded suspension the ride is sporty and can handle anything you throw at it. The rack and pinion steering is crisp and light feeling with the custom wheels adding to the look and handling. With front disc brakes bringing everything to halt in a hurry, it gives you just enough confidence to drive this Nomad like a Camaro. Under the hood is all business with a Chevrolet Crate 502cid filling up the engine bay perfectly. The menacing exhaust note lets everyone know that there is no small block under that hood. Keeping everything at the right temp is an all-aluminum Be Cool Radiator that looks as good as it works. The Turbo-400 transmission routes the power to the rear end which has a set of 3.08’s in it making this a well suited highway hauler. The interior is a mix of classic and new with the painted dash filled with a set of custom digital gauges look great while being super functional. The Tweed bucket seats with the matching door panels tying it all together. Of course, the power windows are always nice especially when it gets a little too hot and the AC needs to be kicked on. Options on this 1957 Chevrolet Nomad include AC, AM/FM, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires.
