Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a freshly built bad to the bone 1921 Ford T-Bucket. If you want a lightweight high horsepower ride with tons of attitude, here it is. This T-Bucket comes freshly built with less than 500 miles on it! This one has the traditional open T-Bucket look with a small bed on the back. That's about the only basic thing about it. Up front is a brand new from BluePrint Engines 383 CID V8 which is quite the screamer. BluePrints is able to squeeze out 430 HP and 450 lb ft of torque. To dress it up, a Vintage Speed Tri-Power set up has been dropped on top. The air cleaners, valve covers, and plenty of other accessories have been done in chrome for some eye candy. That screaming 383 breathes through open 4 into 4 headers which announce your presence. Backing the V8 is a TH350 automatic transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. This one has been nicely built with 4 wheel disc brakes to bring it all to a stop. The T sits on Weld Racing wheels with some big fat Mickey Thompsons on the back, and matching smaller Mickeys up front. The body and frame are finished in black, but the engine and interior are red for a nice contrast. The interior is beautifully upholstered with enough room for the two brave enough souls to rip this bad boy around town. A tilt column helps with climbing aboard. SSK is an abbreviation for Super Sport Kurz which is German for Super Sport Short, since it was the short wheelbase development for the earlier Mercedes Benz S. The SSK was a highly sought after car then for its extreme performance and plentiful competitive successes, and even more now due to the fact that fewer than 40 were built during its production run. Nearly half of those were sold as Rennwagen (racing cars), and were subsequently crashed and cannibalized for parts. Only 4 to 5 entirely original models are believed to remain, and one was sold at auction in September 2004 for a whopping $7.4 million. Although it has a smaller power plant as the original SSK, it does have the same classic styling cues and at a fraction of the cost. Put the top down, drive to a local show or for a long cruise on some old black top back roads. Either way you will be inundated with onlookers wanting know more about your classic ride. Gateway Classic Cars Saint Louis Showroom is proud to offer this striking 1936 Ford Pickup that has been restored on top of a 1978 Malibu frame. Ford began its truck program back in 1908 with the Ford Model TT evolving into some of the most recognizable and beloved trucks the auto community has seen. While the 1930s were a decade of financial strain due to The Great Depression, Ford experienced remarkable success with their durable and cost-efficent trucks outselling Chevrolet in 1935 by nearly 300,000 units! This 1936 Ford Pickup is one such example that survived through the years and has been restored beautifully. This 1936 Ford Pickup Truck has been in the same family for nearly two decades and comes with new Brakes, Battery, Body Cover, and a Tool Box installed into bed. Speaking of the bed, a plywood has been professional installed into the floor of it, and is covered with a clear sheet of plastic to protect it. The body has been painted black and exudes a nice shine with the exclusion of any scratches or dents. Powering this restored classic is a 305 CID V8 with an automatic TH 350 transmission. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1936 Ford 5 Window coupe. This isn't your traditional '36 and may be mistaken for a '37. One of the most notable features is the transformation from a rumble seat into an operable trunk lid. You would be hard pressed to find another '36 5 window with this custom treatment. The eye catching blue paint is a one year only 2002 Volkswagen Aquarius Blue. It certainly looks period correct but with a little pop. The restoration is top notch thanks to a seasoned car builder and a solid body. This '36 is still using all of its original sheet metal! The top was filled, the trunk was heavily modified by removing the rumble seat and precise cutting to create a trunk, custom headlights, tail lights, bumpers and firewall. Underneath is just as impressive and features a Mustang II designed front suspension with upper and lower control arms with power rack and pinion steering. Power front disc and rear drums make for easy braking. The polished stainless steel 18-gallon fuel tank looks beautiful. Power comes from a mild 1970 350 small block Chevy and sends the power through a TH-350 automatic transmission and back to an open rear diff with 2.75:1 gears. The build has just over 6,000 miles and is sure to impress. Inside is a Tea C bench seat, Dolphin Gauges, tilt steering column and A/C controls. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a fully restored 1936 Ford Humpback. This two door sedan is powered by its original 221 Flathead V8 and shifts through a 3-speed manual transmission. Eight years ago the car underwent a full body off restoration to bring the car back to as it was in 1936. Originality was the key and the execution was spot on. All new brakes lines, exhaust system, bumpers and trim. It is still equipped with the original clock that winds up and keeps time. The interior is back to original and the car is also fitted with new wide white wall tires. There are only 207 miles on the car since the restoration and it still looks amazing. It's a true pleasure to see and drive a car that has been restored back to original specs. It's an easier task in most cases to turn an old car into a hot rod. With this car, you get an idea on what it was like to drive one of these when they were new. It's easy to appreciate the time and detail that goes into restoring this Humpback. Turn the key, pull the choke out a bit, adjust the throttle as you engage the starter and listen to that famous Flat head V8 come to life. Painted gloss black with gray cloth interior riding on wide white wall tires is as classic as it comes. This 37’ Pheaton is powered by a Flathead V8 engine, which is believed to be original to the car, as is the 3 speed manual transmission that transfers the power to the pavement. This 37’ Ford Pheaton is finished in a dark blue exterior paint. The saddle brown leather interior creates a wonderful color combination against the dark blue paint and light brown cloth convertible top. The odometer reads 17,947, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1937 Ford Pheaton include: AM Radio (inoperable), Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, Hub Caps, and Wide White Wall Radial Tires. The Phaeton body style differs from a convertible in that it does not have a winding or sliding windows in the doors nor does it have a permanent, fixed roof. The Phaeton body style was faded out after the convertible style became much more popular with its ability to be driven in all types of weather. The last Phaeton to be mass produced by an American manufacturer was the 1948 Willys-Overland Jeepster. This Ford Pheaton represents a factory style restoration, and would be a welcomed addition to any collection. It is a great car for a parade caravan or a nice leisurely stroll down a friendly street. Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a stunning 1939 Plymouth Road King P-8 street rod. This award winning street rod has been beautifully assembled with help from some of the best in the business. This all steel '39 has been professionally stripped and prepped for one of the nicest black paintjobs you will find. The body modifications are subtle, such as removing side vents, bumpers and mounts removed, and the addition of a custom rear roll pan which houses the single exhaust outlet. The body style is so beautiful, there is no need to chop or channel, by simply smoothing and simplifying, a custom looking body is the result. This sedan sits on its original chassis that has been modified to accommodate a Mustang II front suspension and air ride and has been powder coated for durability. The Mustang II setup is from Lakeshore Fabrication which features air ride, Heidts 2" drop spindles, and Unisteer steering. The brakes are supplied by Wilwood and are drilled and slotted disc in all four corners. The rear suspension features a 4 bar setup with air ride. Under the hood is a hot LS2 GM crate engine. These LS engines have become the go-to for street rodders looking for a powerful and reliable drive train. The LS2 is mostly stock but does have a custom made air intake which utilizes a classic style air cleaner from a '56 Buick Nailhead. To stay true to the car, custom valve covers have been made as well to sport the "Plymouth" name. The LS2 breathes through Sanderson headers and dual exhaust that exits through a center outlet. The transmission is a 4L80-E automatic with overdrive. The interior is very tastefully done with saddle leather throughout. Wood grain on the dash and window surrounds give a classy look as well as the original steering wheel.
