1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL

1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL

Engine: 352 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 69,559 ( actual )

This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible is for sale ion our Louisville KY showroom. The Galaxie was Ford’s answer to GM’s extremely popular Impala. The Galaxie 500 nameplate was added to the 59 Fairlane as a top of the line trim level in 1959. In 1960 it became its own car with its own style and engine packages. This 62 is a great example of what you would expect in 1962. The white paint is in excellent condition with the simple flick of a switch activating the power top. With the top out of the way an extremely nice stock black vinyl interior is easily exposed. With the buckets eats upfront separated by a console which houses the shifter a rare option for 62. The white paint is clean and shows extremely well with the chrome fender skirts complimenting that old school look. The trim ties in with those big chrome bumpers while black accents bring it all together. Open that long hood and one of the cleanest engine compartments I have seen is glaring back at you. The FE series 352 gets the car going down the road nicely with plenty of low end grunt to get you going. Drop that shifter into drive and let the cruise-o-matic do the rest. Shifting through all 3 gears nicely this car is meant to hit the road and cruise. If you have been wanting to get a classic 60’s era drop top that runs as good as it looks this 62 Galaxie is the one for you. Options on this 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible include, AM Radio, Power Steering, Power Top, Hubcaps, and Radial Tires. This 1962 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1962 Dodge Dart

1962 Dodge Dart

Engine: 413 CID V8
Transmission: 727 Push Button
Mileage: 11,916 ( undocumented )

This 1962 Dodge Max Wedge Tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 62 Line up for Dodge had there own defined look making them highly collectible today. Not to mention the big and powerful engine you could get in on of these intermediate size cars. In 1962 the now infamous Wedge cars were released and put everyone on notice. With there 413 CI engine and massive cross ram intakes they were literally taking the strips by storm. This example is sure to bring you back to those magical days when Dodge pretty much owned the drag strips. Start with the black paint which is slick while showing off those one of a kind lines. The multiple coats of clear laid on top gives it not only a mirror finish but almost a 3D look. Let’s get down to why you really want this beast of a car. Pop the hood and an ultra- rare 413 Ramcharger lies cradled between the frame rails. The crossram intake is correct and not a cheap part by any means but gives it that I mean business look while gaining a good bit of power. Matched up to a 727 HD torque flite this thing is ready for the street or strip. Open the door and period correct interior is comfortable while looking nice. Yet still the best and coolest thing about this car has to be the push button trans making it as simple as pressing D and slamming the gas. Just make sure your holding on because if this monster hooks up you will be in for a ride you will soon not forget. Options on this 1962 Dodge Dart 413 Cross Ram car include Radio Delete, Cloth/Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Radial Tires. 1971 Chevrolet Corvette

1971 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: ZZ 383 Stroker
Transmission: Tremec 5 Speed
Mileage: 2,957 ( since rebuilt )

This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KYT showroom. Road racing has long been a part of American car culture for not only showing what companies could do but just for the sheer fun. The 60’s and 70’s would see one of the biggest booms in the sport with Lemans and the T/A series finding plenty of fans. The sport would eventually fade away after Car manufactures began to focus on fuel economy and safety instead of performance. This example is true to that heritage and was built to look and perform as such. Probably the first thing you notice on this 71 is the headlights. Like racecars of that time the hole light assembly ahs been removed with a Lemans style piece put in its place that not only looks sportier but shaves quite a few ponds off. The front has a bottom spoiler to help with down force, but you have to admit looks pretty darn good. The paint job is fitting with the company logos being nothing more than vinyl decals that can be removed if you don’t like the look. The racing components is what really separates this road course weapon from the rest. The Bilstein shocks are race ready with the tubular control arms, fiberglass leaf springs, and lowered stance all add to the carving capability’s. The Steeroids rack and pinion steering is one of the most precise setups sold for these cars eliminating any of the see saw motion in the wheel. Under the L88 hood is a 383 stroker motor from GM’s very successful ZZ line. The huge cam and a great tune has this small block pumping out A massive 500+HP. The tremec 5 speed handles the power nicely with the built rear end having 650HP half shafts. The 3.55 gears give the perfect mix of acceleration and top end grunt. The bucket seats inside are exactly what you need if you are thinking about trying to use the car to its full potential. The 4-point cage adds rigidity to the chassis while giving a level of protection with the 4-point harness’ keep you in place. The dash on the car has been taken out with a more race car friendly layout taking its place. The removable steering wheel allows for more room when getting in and out of the car and another item that you would expect to see in a car of this nature. The 200MPH speedometer as well as an MSD REV limiter that even has a 2 step. If you have been wanting a race car that can be driven to the track, run some hot laps around the road course and then driven back home in confidence this 71 Corvette fits the bill. Options on this 1971 Corvette include, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, T Tops, and Radial Tires with Alloy Wheels. This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
