1970 Datsun Roadster 2000

Engine: 4-Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 57391 ( undocumented )

Here in the Dallas Showroom we have this super awesome 1970 Datsun 2000 SRL311. The Datsun Sports (called Datsun Fairlady in the Japanese and Australian markets), was a series of roadsters produced by Nissan in the 1960s. The series was a predecessor to the Z-car in the Fairlady line, and offered an competitor to the European MG, Triumph, Fiat and Alfa Romeo sports cars. The line began with the 1959 "S211" and continued through 1970 with the "SP311" and "SR311" line. The Fairlady saw competitors follow its introduction, with examples called the Honda S500, the Toyota Sports 800, and the Daihatsu Compagno. In Japan, it represented one of three core products offered by Nissan at Japanese Nissan Dealerships called Nissan Shop, alongside the Datsun Truck and the Datsun 1000. The Datsun SRL 2000 was the 2 seat roadster that made their name. Paul Newman started his racing career in one. It had a potent 1982cc overhead cam engine with dual SU type side draft carbs and a 5 speed transmission. In 1991, Nissan introduced a limited number two-door convertible styled in a retro appearance to the Datsun Sports called the Nissan Figaro. The introduction of the 1967 SR311 and SRL311 saw a major update. Produced from March 1967 – 1970, the SR311 used a 2.0 L (1,982 cc) U20 engine and offered a five-speed manual transmission, somewhat unexpected for a production car at the time. The first-year cars (known as "half year" cars) are sought as there were fewer than 1,000 produced which are unencumbered with the 1968 model year emissions and safety changes. The new SOHC engine produced 135 PS (99 kW; 133 hp). An optional Competition package included dual Mikuni/Solex carburetors; a special "B" model camshaft for 150 PS (110 kW; 150 hp); higher limit gauges; and a license plate surround. In Australia there were no emission restrictions and all 2.0 litre cars were fitted with the Competition package as standard. This Particular car is equipped with the Hitachi SU Side draft carbs, rebuilt motor, rollbar, and a beautiful paint job! In the USA the Datsun 2000 was lauded as a bargain sports car. It was raced by John Morton, Bob Sharp and others. Its sticker price was lowest in its class, but it won its class in C Production (Mikuni-Solex carburetors) and D-Production (Hitachi-SU carburetors), in SCCA racing on a consistent basis even after production stopped. For the full story of Nissan's involvement in early SCCA racing, the teams, drivers and cars, visit the Datsun Roadster SCCA pages. A well-tuned stock Datsun 2000 was capable of cruising at 120 mph (193 km/h) and capable of making better than 30 mpg (7.8 L/100 km) and red-lined at exactly 7000 rpm and 140 mph in fourth gear with a 5-speed manual. It was replaced with the more sedate, stylish, and popular Z series. Give the Dallas Showroom a call at 817-310-9400 Let's talk about getting you in the timeless classic sports car!

Powering this Z is a L28 I6 Cylinder that will really get this 280Z for sale down the road, backed by the rare 5 speed manual transmission makes for the perfect pare. This one is unique for several reasons, and it's a beautiful example of the "Z" series from Datsun, they were entering the sports car arena beginning in 1970 with the 240Z. The 1978 280Z models were the most refined of all the Z-series cars to that point. This year, the manual five-speed transmission was first available in North America-bound cars. Very few 5-spds were ordered from the factory; most were 4-spds. This was also the first and only year for black being an available color on Z-cars. They were known as "Black Pearl Edition" models. Additional refinements can be found in convenience options like air conditioning. 1978 was the first year that it was an integrated system, not a "hang-on" type installation. Sharp-eyed Z-car enthusiasts will immediately notice the factory aluminum road wheels, considered to be the single rarest option for these cars. These wheels, like the rest of this stunning automobile, were restored to a condition that is as new as could be done. Because this example has all four options, it truly makes this one of the most desirable Datsun Z-cars on the market today. In addition to the afore-mentioned options, this sports car also which includes black sports mirrors, rear window louvers, and red/silver tape stripes on the hood and. Many 4-spd cars were retro-fitted with 5-spds once they arrived in the US. While staring at that sexy Black Pearl you can dream of the plush black leather bucket seats that are meant to give you comfort and the feel of a race car. The car was completely restored to as close to its original condition as possible after spending much time researching everything thoroughly. "BPE" black hue was so well-received that black was a regular production option on the new 280ZX models. 1979 Datsun 280Z

Engine: 2.8L Inline 6 Cylinder
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 79770 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1979 Datsun 280ZX. The s130 was a sports coupe produced by Nissan in Japan from 78 to 83. A second generation that replaced the s30 in late 78 and the first time a Datsun would be sold with the Nissan name on it. This example is a rare find with all literature including the original Japanese “build sheet” going with this beauty. The paint is clean and true to what it should be with a respray done sometime ago. Owned by the same family since new this cream puff was extremely well taken care of. The interior on this champagne/mahogany example is one of the cleanest original interiors I have seen. With the all the gauges functioning and the AC blowing cold this 280 is ready to go. Loaded with the premium package this Nissan had everything except leather making it a lot more desirable and more fun to drive. Under the hood the original 2.8l is in tip top shape starting right up without a hitch. The inline 6 pulls hard and was designed to rev higher making this an absolute blast to drive. With a softer ride than earlier models the 280 has a smoother ride while not sacrificing performance. If you have been looking to get into the exploding Japanese classic market this would make a great first addition to a collection or get it to simply drive and enjoy. Options on this 1979 Datsun 280ZX include, AC, AM/FM/Cassette, Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires. 1983 Datsun 280ZX 2+2

Engine: 2.7L I6 F
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
Mileage: 57243 ( actual )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this awesome and powerful 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo 2+2 finished in a beautiful and fitting red with gray and black interior. The Nissan S130 is a sports coupe that was produced by Nissan in Japan from 1978 to 1983. You will know that car as the Datsun 280ZX here in the USA but other countries know the car as the Nissan Fairlady Z and the Nissan Fairlady 280ZX. 1983 marked the last year for the car as it was then replaced by the 300ZX the following year. Both 2 and 4 seat options were offered and this happens to be the more spacious 4 seater option. This turbocharged version offered a considerable boost in performance over the standard, naturally aspirated version of the car. The naturally aspirated 1982 Datsun 280ZX boasted a 0-60 mph time of 9.1 seconds, 1.2 slower than the Corvette of the same year. However, the 280ZX Turbo manual had a 0-60 mph of 7.4 seconds while the automatic managed to turn out 7.1 seconds. That compares to the Aston Martin Volante with a 0-60 mph of 8.9 seconds and almost seven times the cost and the Ferrari 308GTSi with a 0-60 mph of 7.9 seconds. The only cars in 1982 to beat the Turbo ZX were the Porsche 911SC and the BMW M1, which were considered by most to be exotic cars. In this car, you will find many modern features such as air conditioning, AM/FM radio with cassette, spare tire, T-Tops, cruise control, power steering, power brakes power locks, jack, seat belts, kill switch and aluminum wheels. The air conditioning blows cold and the heat blows hot! The CarFax shows 3 owners since new. It started life in New York and moved to Arizona back in 2002. It then moved to Texas in 2010 where it has been ever since. The car is ready to drive home. Don’t miss your chance to own an increasingly rare and desirable Japanese legend.
