1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle Replica

1929 Mercedes-Benz Gazelle Replica

Engine: 2.3 inline 4 cylinder
Transmission: 4-Speed
Mileage: 6,522 ( actual )

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK Gazelle Replica. This Gazelle is finished in a unique gray over red color combination, and features black vinyl interior. Powering this 29’ Mercedes is a Ford 2.3L inline 4 cylinder engine. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers the power to the pavement. A Mustang II front end, including disc brakes, helps this Mercedes handle like a dream. Options for this 1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK Gazelle Replica include: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Manual Convertible Top, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. Designed by Ferdinand Porsche (the last car he designed for Mercedes Benz before founding his own company) and assembled in Bremen, German, the Mercedes Benz SSK was manufactured between 1928 and 1932. SSK is an abbreviation for Super Sport Kurz which is German for Super Sport Short, since it was the short wheelbase development for the earlier Mercedes Benz S. The SSK was a highly sought after car then for its extreme performance and plentiful competitive successes, and even more now due to the fact that fewer than 40 were built during its production run. Nearly half of those were sold as Rennwagen (racing cars), and were subsequently crashed and cannibalized for parts. Only 4 to 5 entirely original models are believed to remain, and one was sold at auction in September 2004 for a whopping $7.4 million. Although it has a smaller power plant as the original SSK, it does have the same classic styling cues and at a fraction of the cost. Put the top down, drive to a local show or for a long cruise on some old black top back roads. Either way you will be inundated with onlookers wanting know more about your classic ride. Engine: 2.8L I6
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 77,488 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is privileged to offer for purchase in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom this stunning and highly desirable 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet. The exterior is a beautiful, rich dark green with a thick cognac leather interior. The documentation for this vehicle includes a binder full of service records and the original owner’s manual. Features on this collector quality vehicle includes air conditioning, power windows, power steering, steering column automatic transmission, power disc brakes, Becker Europa AM/FM radio with power antenna, whitewall tires, and heat insulating glass. Mercedes-Benz's elegant Paul Bracq-designed W111 made its debut in 1959 and was produced, in its many variations, through 1971. Among the most desirable variations were the two-door models—the 280 SE Cabriolet and Coupe—which were expensive, virtually hand-built automobiles hailing from the great tradition of German craftsmanship. The wood trim throughout the interior were all genuine solid hardwood. The leather upholstery is thick and comfortable; and both the ride quality and handling are superb. These cars rapidly became favorites of international socialites and celebrities, and they were frequently seen cruising in all of the world's most posh destinations. Just less than 1,400 280SE Cabriolets were assembled from 1968-1971. Their rarity, performance, handling, craftsmanship are all blended perfectly into a design that has become iconic. It is no wonder why the 280SE has become one of the most recognized classic Mercedes-Benz models sought after by collectors today. 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL

1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL

Engine: 4.5L FI V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 114,983 ( actual )

Now up for grabs at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston location is this very rare 1972 Mercedes Benz 350sl. 1971 marked the beginning of the now famous and highly sought after R107 chassis 2-seat convertible roadster. This line of the model started as 350SL coupes in 1971 with a 3.5L V8, but in 1972 they upgraded to the much more powerful and reliable 4.5L V8 but this is where this cars rarity comes into play, only for 72’ was the car denoted as a 350SL but was outfitted with the larger 4.5L V8. In 1973 they shifted the name to 450SL to fall in line with the engine liter size, just as they do today in their new cars. Since it was a new model to the brand at the time the production numbers weren’t that high thus adding to these early models appreciation value. There are not many on the market for sale in this condition as many suffer from rust issues. The car is outfitted with a strong running 4.5L V8 that utilizes the reliable Bosch D Jetronic fuel injection electronic engine management system. With less than 115k actual miles on the car the power plant has plenty of life in her. The V8 is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission that provides enough acceleration power but also gives a nice driving experience that the SL line is so well known for. The drive train seems solid from front to back and the car is fun to drive. Looking at the car drive by you’ll be drawn in by the very recent & refreshed new paint job. It was repainted back to its original color and it came out very well. The body panels are appear to be original to the car. The doors open & close with ease and the body panel gaps align & are even. Of course, this is almost a 50-year-old car that is mostly original. It isn’t a concourse car, but still shows well. The light lenses & their houses are in a great shape with no cracks. The grill, bumpers, & emblems are in very nice condition. Stepping into the driver’s seat you will find a very nice saddle colored interior that looks great & has been partially refreshed with new seats. The door panels, carpet, rear deck area, headliner, & dash are in superb condition for 46 years old. The owner was going to update the center console vent controls with a later model, but wanted to keep the car original in case the new owner would prefer that. The seats are very comfortable and soft to the touch. The interior just allows you to slip in and enjoy your time cruising around town. While you are zooming around the city the owner installed an aftermarket radio & speakers. The convertible top is new and operates with ease. The top is in very nice condition with no tears or rips, the plastic in the back is clear and generally looks great against the black body & saddle colored interior. The car has been well maintained and garage kept for most of its life. There has been several updated and replaced items on the car. Looking at the engine bay you will see a very clean and tidy area that has many items in very new & nice condition. Coolant hoses, brake master cylinder, spark plug wires & ignition parts, fuel pump, exhaust, & many other noticeable items have been maintained/serviced. The car is rust free and will only go up in value as these classic Mercedes SL’s become rarer every day. Don’t miss your chance to get a piece of history and call us with an offer today! 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C

1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C

Engine: I-6
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 35,909 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we proudly present this 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C. The 280C was a 2 door coupe variant of the W114 chassis sedans. The coupe variants featured styling which was sleek yet understated at the same time. This example was of the first year of the slightly restyled body with a lower hood line and broader grill than before. While the W114 chassis dates back to 1968 the design was kept fresh with the removal of quarter windows in the front door and Mercedes’ soon to be signature ribbed (for your safety) tail lights. The W114 chassis, much like all Mercedes-Benz models from this era, is an extremely durable and reliable car. This example is an unrestored “survivor” and truly does show how well these cars hold up with simple routine maintenance. Cosmetically this car is in very fine shape. Its original silver paint still shows very well and proves what masters of paint Mercedes-Benz was at the time. Complementing the Silver paint is a tan interior giving the entire car a classic look. Powering the vehicle is the original spec 2.8 Liter M110 inline six cylinder engine. As any Mercedes aficionado will tell you, the M110 series of engines is extremely reliable and will pack on the miles with pleasure. This 280C is equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM radio, cruise control, power steering, seat belts, leather interior, and radial tires. 1976 Mercedes-Benz 300D

1976 Mercedes-Benz 300D

Engine: 5 Cylinder
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 41,913 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this low-mileage vintage 1976 Mercedes Benz 300D for sale. The W115-114 Chassis became a very successful platform for Daimler-Benz, and provided customers with more precise handling, superior road surface irregularity damping and isolation, a more comfortable interior, and more modern styling than previous chassis had, with its newer, smoother lines. The interior of this ‘Benz shows you what German luxury was all about in the 1970’s and features larger seating areas covered in MB-Tex upholstery, wood grain interior trim, a large steering wheel, and easy to operate controls. Under the hood is Mercedes' venerable, nearly-bulletproof inline 5-cylinder diesel engine. Its ability to deliver near-gasoline-engine-like acceleration was a combined result of its seamless torque delivery, and smooth-shifting automatic gearbox; which gave the 300D's the ability to easily reach highway speeds without the typical "diesel drama" that lesser diesels were known for (you know - the wait, wait, wait, ahh, now we're moving! experience). Merging onto freeway on-ramps was no longer something that one had to plan well in advance for, to avoid being rear-ended by cars already moving at speed. In addition to being well known and popular for their looks, these cars were touted for reliability and durability, with many of them reaching the vaunted "Million Mile" club; and, like this low-mileage example, are still on the road today. Options on this Mimosa Yellow beauty include cruise control, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power windows, air conditioning, power sunroof, AM/FM radio, seat belts, radial tires, and color-matched painted wheel covers. This classic has been well kept for its entire life and is ready to provide its next lucky owner with many years and many more miles of fine driving. This is the one you want to own. This 1976 Mercedes 300 D is sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1976 Mercedes-Benz 300D

1976 Mercedes-Benz 300D

Engine: I-5
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,816 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this clean vintage 1976 Mercedes Benz 300D. The W108 Chassis became a very successful platform for Daimler-Benz, and provided customers with more precise handling, superior road surface irregularity damping and isolation, a more comfortable interior, and more modern styling than previous chassis had, with its newer, smoother lines. The interior of this ‘Benz shows you what German luxury was all about in the 1970’s and features larger seating areas covered in rich red vinyl upholstery, wood grain interior trim, a large steering wheel, and easy to operate controls. Under the hood is Mercedes' stout and durable inline 5-cylinder diesel engine. Its ability to deliver near-gasoline-engine-like acceleration was a combined result of its seamless torque delivery, and smooth-shifting 4 speed automatic gearbox; which gave the 300D's the ability to easily reach highway speeds without the typical "diesel drama" that lesser diesels were known for (you know - the wait, wait, wait, ahh, now we're moving! experience). Merging onto freeway on-ramps was no longer something that one had to plan well in advance for, to avoid being rear-ended by cars already moving at speed. In addition to being well known and popular for their looks, these cars were touted for reliability and durability, with many of them reaching the vaunted "Million Mile" club; and, like this example, are still on the road today. Options on this white beauty include cruise control, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power locks, power windows, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, seat belts, radial tires. This classic has been well kept for its entire life and is ready to provide its next lucky owner with many years and many more miles of fine driving. This the one you want to own. This 1976 Mercedes Benz 300D is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

Engine: 4500CC 4.5L V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 81,711 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this well-preserved, low mileage 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL roadster. This elegant motor car has had an average of less than 2100 miles per year added to the odometer since it was purchased new in the Phoenix area while Jimmy Carter was our president. The third and current owner, like the two before her, is very meticulous when it comes to maintenance, storage, and limited use. To make sure the car is ready for its new owner, the fuel pump and water pump were both recently replaced. In addition, the transmission has been gone through and the air conditioning has been serviced and blows cold. All fluids have been flushed and replaced as well as any service work deemed necessary to keep this beauty running, driving, steering, and braking up to original factory specs. All the original owner's publications and the tool kit are still in the vehicle. Cosmetically, this elegant motor car has original paint and interior. The paint looks great except for some minor lacquer crazing on the trunklid. The soft top is new, and all of the trim and ornamentation looks new. Tires look great, as well. Overall, this car should provide years and years of reliable service and provide the new owner with many "smiles per gallon". Considering its age, the car is very agile on the road, especially compared to many of its contemporaries then, and even a decade later. Remember yesterday’s thinkers are todays buyers so act now before it is too late. Let’s put this car in your home. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
