1971 Chevrolet Blazer K5

1971 Chevrolet Blazer K5

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 3,500 ( since rebuilt )

With only 3,500 miles on this extremely custom Blazer, it is ready to tackle any obstacle put in its way! This Blazer is sitting on a set of massive 39.5” Super Swamper mud tires that will dig through or up just about anything and are connected to axles tough enough to take it. Up front is a built-up Dana 60 and out back is a 14-Bolt GM axle that are both equipped with 4.88:1 locker differentials. Connecting the two axles is a 205 transfer case that are well recognized in the off roading community for their toughness and durability. In order to turn these big wheels and axles, this truck needed a power house of an engine so the builder opted for a 454 cubic inch big block Chevrolet equipped with fuel injection for easy tuning and added efficiency. Sitting right behind the engine is a 700R4 transmission giving you an overdrive gear that is much needed when running a 4.88:1 ratio. The steering in the truck was equipped with more heavy duty steering components provided through PSC and is equipped with hydraulic assist. The HD tie rods were run above the axles to keep them out of the way of any obstacles. Despite all the work that has gone into making this truck durable, the body from 1971 has been kept straight and clean. The front fenders were radiused to clear the large tires during heavy flexing in the suspension and aftermarket bumpers installed front and rear for durability and a tough appearance. This Blazer has many thousands of dollars into the build and, if you have been thinking about doing a similar build, this is a much better route to go as it will save you time and money in the long run. This is a great truck for someone who is looking for a turn key trail rig or someone just looking to have fun with their buddies on the weekend. What ever your plan is you will have fun taking this Blazer places no vehicle was meant to go! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. 1977 Chevrolet Blazer

1977 Chevrolet Blazer

Engine: 454 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,477 ( undocumented )

It’s 1977, Atari is released in North America, the first Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope premieres on May 25th, and this cool red 1977 Blazer rolls off the assembly line. Since than she has undergone a radical transformation. Starting with: 454 CID crate motor with less than 5,000 miles, rebuild 3-speed auto, rear quarters replaced with fiberglass Chevy dually panels, custom red and black interior, tonneau cover new paint in 2010, new Kenwood deck and sound system. Definitely one of kind truck that is sure to turn heads anywhere you go. The K5 Blazer was the smallest full size SUV version of the Chevrolet C/K family. Introduced to the Chevrolet line in 1969, the full-size Blazer was replaced in 1995 by the Chevrolet Tahoe. In 1970, GMC introduced its own model of the truck, called the Jimmy, which was discontinued in 1991 and replaced by the GMC Yukon in 1993. Both were based on the short wheelbase trucks and were available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The Blazer's long wheelbase relative (with an integrated rear body, and doors for 2nd row passengers) is known as the Chevrolet Suburban. The "Jimmy" name was chosen to reflect the GMmy sound in a similar manner in how Jeep was a pronunciation of GP in the competing market. The K5 Blazer and Jimmy had "full convertible" removable tops until 1975. In 1976, GM introduced a half-cab design that was less prone to leaks and slightly safer in a roll-over. These half cabs are convertible starting at a few inches behind the driver/passenger doors all the way back to the tailgate. 1980 Chevrolet Blazer

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 14,243 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a cherry 1980 Chevrolet Blazer. This ’80 Blazer has all the right stuff to make for a collectible 4x4. This is a full-sized Blazer which has the removeable rear top. For those wanting to feel the wind in their hair, just lift off the hard top to have some fun in the sun. Of course, it has possibly the most well-known engine in American automotive history under the hood: a small block Chevy 350. Behind the 350 is a 4-speed automatic trans, and NP205 transfer case, and solid axles both front and rear. This is a very capable off roader with it’s 4” lift and aggressive mud tires. You my however choose to keep this one ON road, given the mileage is quite low at only 14,243 original miles. That’s right, less than 15,000 miles on this beauty. It wears Light Camel Metallic on the exterior, and matching Camel interior; both of which look almost new. This truck has clearly been well cared for and had an easy life. Most trucks from this era have either rusted to pieces or been used and abused. It’s nice to see such a well preserved example which can be enjoyed for many years to come. You can see this awesome 1980 Chevrolet Blazer in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or stl@gatewayclassiccars.com.
