1968 GMC C1500

Engine: LT1 350 CID
Transmission: 4L60E 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 4429 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this purple pavement eating machine, a 1968 GMC C1500. This classic truck has all the right modern features for making the long haul in comfort and style. Under the hood is a fuel injected LT1 5.7L, providing increased efficiency, easier starting, and smoother power delivery than old carbureted motors. This is backed up by the equally advanced 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission. With the Ford 9” rear end housing 3:50 positrac gears, you are starting to understand why we say this truck is ready to pack on the miles. This isn’t just any old Ford 9" stuck back there though. This rear end boasts Strange axles, and is set in an Art Morrison back half with a 9 Link suspension set up. We think it is fair to say that this rear end isn’t going anywhere. Power front disc brakes bring you back down to a nice, safe, and short halt. The goodies don’t stop on the outside though. In the cab, you will find Vintage Air A/C, Lokar gas pedal, brake pedal, e-brake pedal, and outside mirrors, an IDIDIT chrome steering column with Billet Specialties steering wheel, a Dakota Digital dash, and Alpine Stereo System. The saying goes that pictures are worth a thousand words, but they still can’t give the whole story on this well built truck, and I don’t have the room to tell it all here either. 1970 GMC C1500

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 109260 ( actual )

Be someone’s knight in shining pickup truck with this all original 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup available now in our Milwaukee Showroom. Consider yourself lucky to have found this time warp of a Pickup. The kind of find you envy on all the car rebuilding and customizing T.V. shows. Where do they get these ‘barn find’ original kind of vehicles? How do they know what vehicle will command the attention and numbers? Well the true enthusiast knows they start with the right vehicle. This 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom is that vehicle. Sunkist Orange and lightly patenaed just the right amount in just the right places. Where most truck owners tend to alter or modify changing long beds to short beds and replacing a 6 cylinders to big blocks it has become a challenge for the numbers matching, factory perfect restorer to find the pedigree to work with. Since the availability of these classic trucks has turned increasingly difficult to acquire, especially in the rarer GMC over the common Chevy. Not for you, you found it right here. Never customized, modified or redone and numbers matching. It’s just like you’d expect if you went back to the mid ‘70’s. Sitting on the new beautiful embossed black vinyl bench seat you can almost hear “FreeBird” playing from the radio as you sit waiting for your load of mulch filling the 8’ wood bed, both of which are rare options to find. The interior has been freshened up with new black vinyl headliner, new black carpet and new embossed black door panels to match the new bench seating. All complimented by the body color Sunkist Orange dash and doors. Drive it every day if you like, with the original 350 CID L48 engine synonymous with performance, horse power and reliability you’re sure to enjoy the throaty and intoxicating nostalgia feel this truck commands. 4x2, ½ ton with a 6 x 5.5” bolt pattern and a TH350 transmission to turn those original white walls and very cool original GMC hubcaps. All the right touches are there to make it period correct with an A pillar mounted spot light, diamond plated rear bumper, the over cautious side marker lights that seem to multiply. The Sunkist Orange is paired with a Polar White cab and lower rocker panel. Even the tailgate has a faux wood panel. The stance is athletic and proper with bushy eyebrows of chrome over the duel headlamps. Maintenance has been kept up which includes new front wheel cylinders, master cylinder and front brake hoses. Carburetor was cleaned with the additions of new gaskets and internal parts. Cruise cool with new air conditioning that was upgraded with a present day compressor, new hoses and expansion valve. All fluids and filters have been replaced too. More of a living room find than a barn find, but a find none the less. With early 70’s pickup trucks current scarcity this 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup isn’t for the penurious but rather the educated contrarian. But watch your review mirror, one of those TV shows and their camera crew may try to stop you and pry this one from your garage. To view this awesome 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup in greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com or our Milwaukee showroom. 1984 GMC C1500

Engine: LS1 5.7L V8
Transmission: Other
Mileage: 56000 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is this modernized and beefy 1984 LS1 powered GMC C-10. One of the irritations with older vehicles is the difficulty of starting a carbureted engine in cold weather, carb tuning and cleaning and general maintenance that goes along with it. The LS1 engine is a modern all aluminum V8 that takes away the headaches of the older designed power plants. Not only is it more reliable, but it is also much better on fuel and allows for generation of big power along with lightweight design. The LS1 is combined with a fantastic and smooth shifting 4L60 transmission. The truck has a posi rear end with 3:42 gearing which allows for great traction and low rpms on the highway. You might want to think of this truck as a modern Trans Am but with the utility of a truck. Best of both worlds! The truck is finished with a white PPG paint and beautiful tan leather interior. It gives the truck a very luxurious feel throughout. Power brakes, power steering, CD player, leather, tilt wheel, alloy wheels and radial tires. All features that you will find on this truck. This is known as the third generation of the Chevrolet/GMC C-10. The third-generation trucks are colloquially known as the "Square-body" or "Box-body" generation. GM's official "Rounded-Line" moniker highlighted the pickup's rounded styling cues that were incorporated into the design. This included rounded windshield corners, rounded corners of the cab roof, rounded-corner doors which cut high into the cab roof eliminating roof height, slanted front fenders, and rounded pickup box corners which allowed for rounded wraparound taillamps, a first for GM pickups. The design also featured strong distinctive curved shoulder lines which rounded out below the beltline. The curved shoulder line continued across the back tailgate on Chevrolet Fleetside and GMC Wideside models. However, the low slope of the hood and rectangular front end of the truck originated the "square/box-body" nickname, which was propagated through truck magazines and word of mouth. GM's design engineers fashioned the "Rounded-line" exterior in an effort to help improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, using wind tunnel technology to help them sculpt the body. Other design traits include sleek sculpted body work, an aerodynamic cab with steep windshield rake, and a unique available hidden radio antenna embedded into the windshield glass. You will be hard pressed to find another third generation LS1 powered GMC C-10 that is as nice as this throughout. It has been meticulously built and taken care of. Please reach out to the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 to learn more about the truck or to learn about purchase and finance options. You can visit the truck in person at 1910 Cypress Station Dr Suite 200, Houston, TX 77090.
